I never claimed to know everything that went on that night; in fact, I said in this thread that I wasn't there and was sorry to hear that OOC had hateful words and that it had come to that. I also said that /ignore works and I would have hoped that one could choose to use that function instead of deciding that the rest of us aren't worth even acknowledging as players on the field (which I clarified and Tarbosh confirmed was exactly how I should read what he wrote).
However, your words I believe were actually that most of you turned it off because it's too negative (sometimes it is, yes). That's your prerogative of course - it was just disappointing given the challenges we all face in working together. I have never played with you and have no history with you, so my sadness was specific to people who have been important components of this server's communication for years. I would hope you could understand disappointment around that. The ONLY thing that offended me and seemingly others was the "screw you other guys out there; it's all about our fun" mentality. I also expressed that to Mascius in this thread, because it's never been my experience with him. So be it. That's just never how I have played or seen him play. Things change and that's all fine.
As for demeaning any feelings, where? How does "negative" = abuse? OF COURSE, I don't want ANY good person in this game to ever be harassed, abused or even bothered by some of the sad excuses for people that play here (and MANY of us have been including in our real lives). At any rate, for me it was disappointment about the attitude but more importantly, sadness over losing someone that has been 100% committed to communication. This is sad to me because I was mentored by Ophy as a player and a healer. If something was said in OOC that was abusive or similar, then it must have been long after my kinmates and friends went to bed. It doesn't much matter - because it IS up to every single person to decide how much they want to see of the tripe that is definitely there on freepside OOC on some nights. Understand, it simply made me sad. This is independent of my reaction to the attitude expressed by Mascius.
But, your opinion of how I act and what I do is formed. Think what you like because you clearly do anyway.
Cheers.

This is the stuff that I frankly don't understand. When some Creep player jumps over to Freepside only to send me hate tells. I usually say to them "Who the h*** are you?" lol Rarely, do I get an answer. When I asked the peeps in my group if they know the name, nobody ever does. It's like some of the Creeps just keep these random alts lying around that they can flip over to when they get upset for dying in a PvP zone.
I really would like to know who these folks are though...simply so I could kill them again.

So people should quit trying to make "raid members" accountable for OOC when its not their responsibility to begin with.
You seem to really dislike people missing 'your' points so how come you are continually missing others? Let me clarify, I don't think anywhere in this thread people have pointed out that they turned off OOC because they were told to, by you. Or that what they had to say in OOC tipped the balance of the Moors. They had done it because they felt personally lead to do so to improve the night as gaming in a whole. How excatly, does that involve you as a raid leader then?
My UI causes people to make vomit noises. I murder people's well thought out names. I always master loot. I go into robot voice, a lot. So much so that now my Kinship and raiding team call me Navbot, the robot overlord. I love rp. I pvp to techno.

Screw with Tarbosh you will unleash the Feycat. Nobody wants that, and I mean NOBODY.

You should start at the beginning of the thread and read it.
I'm not entirely optimistic that you will get it, but there is a chance if you try.

Never once have I ever questioned your cleverness, yet you decide to twist your response in a snide way to insult me? Is that even warranted or did you dislike my response that much? Also, I'm not really interested in turning this into some catty back and forth thing, just know that I look forward to continually showing you respect in my responses and ask the same civility in your own.

Re: Ettenmoors Community Blah: Thursday, May 13th, 2010
Well..I wanted to make a post about the great night i had out in the moors last night. Some of my tribe mates were playing freepside in their kin raid. I had a blast killing them and being killed by them. They did a awesome job taking keeps, pushing for the relic and keeping all the creeps on their toes. I heard positve remarks made about them in OOC and i think alot of creeps had a good time competing against them. Well Done!
However, when i read the previous whiny B.S. posts i am both saddened and embarrassed of what our server is becoming. I don't see how adults can act this way over a game.
No wonder people feel the moors is dying. No wonder people are leaving the game.
Next game I play I will follow the old MMO saying , " If you enjoy playing a game, stay away from the forums"

Here is what I am a little confused about:
All these posts about what freeps say in OOC, but why is it no big deal when creeps do it?
While playing my spider I watched Shakbull bash the **** out of freeps in creep ooc for almost an hour: How hypocritical they all were. How they never do anything unless they have more numbers. Others were complaining about no open raid. People disagreeing over if the creeps should push tr or sit at TA. It really just went on and on. I don't see anyone leaving creep OOC or at least posting about it. It is just a little lop sided.
It isnt a side issue its a player issue just some people are willing to pretend it is only on one side.

For me, I don't pretend it's only on one side, but I'm much more willing to put people on ignore creepside (I'll never end up in a PuG with people I put on ignore creepside, but I have a lot of freeps who sometimes do end up coming along on the pleas of a friend and finding themselves with 4 strangers :P) I only ignore freeps who are blatantly offensive and who are so bad I'd drop a PuG I found myself in that contained them.
Also, I feel more comfortable arguing back to people on creep ooc. If I go over to a relative stranger's house for dinner and they start talking about politics or religion in a way that bothers me, I would probably just shut up and stop listening. If they were friends and family, however, I'd argue back. I dont' want to spend my night freepside arguing with folks, I'd rather just PvP, but I did call out a couple people last night for complaining about freep numbers. *shrug* It's the difference between home and visiting, for me anyway.

Yep. I was creepside today and a little bit yesterday and people were bickering in ooc, just the way they do on Freepside. I thought to myself, "well this is no different so I might as well go back".
