If you're gonna initiate an attack against someone on the other side, don't be a freakin pansy and run off to your friend(s) when it becomes evident that you're not going to get a kill in a few seconds. If you're THAT afraid of dying, stick to pve where things are easier.
so sick of people starting a fight and then running off.....

Hehe... about 25 different Wargs came to mind when I read this.
So to liven up our moors and bring new life to the much neglected norbog areas, I think we creeps should be able to throw norbogs at freeps. For example, this could be a LM on the receiving end of such a skill (artist's interpretation):
That's sad. You only had enough TP to get the basic pvmp set. But I bought the elite set and it came with a club:
Sucks for you!
But look on the bright side. It's not as bad as the time when you bought the morroval costume from the store thinking it would let you fly across the moors:
fail.

Judging from the chatter on this forum of late, our moors is on a steady decline with an occasional good day tossed in here and there. Thoughts on how to improve this other than stop with the small healing groups that are difficult to counter with a equal sized creep group?
Unfortunately, just as creeps were OP last update, freeps are OP this update. I will tell you that same sized groups are still competitive if all the classes are played well. Omani, Ungoliar, Sineater, few dogs and reaver or two were giving us a lot of trouble yesterday. I understand these guys are high ranked and very good at their classes but the correct composition works wonders.
Grab a Warleader and defiler, find a dog that knows how to interrupt/stun correctly and go to town. And for goodness sakes, coordinate with each other. There is nothing worse than having plenty of people to win but going in two separate directions. We had around 7(four of us grouped)vs15-18 at WTAB yesterday and were fine with just cappy heals for a while because there was just no coordination whatsoever.
When we went for a flank at South Beach and you guys sandwiched us, we wiped which I am assuming was the result of some kind of coordination. Tactics work miracles. Don't lose hope. I run around getting mopped up on my hunter all the time so I know how it feels.
I found that the best way to play now is leave 1 OP red, and wait for it to flip, that way I dont have to run around the map looking for freeps. When the Freepraid zerg is missing, flip 1 of the 4 Ops they have, and wait, you will find them all.
I found that the best way to play now is to leave a few creeps from the creep zergball alive/let them run away otherwise they'll log. When the craidraid zerg is missing, they got wiped and logged off.
p.s. Let's see if this gets the forums kicking again

Oh you must be referring to the 8-10 that Morgul Blades tries to put together everynight. I was talking about the 20 freeps that login every evening and flip the map entirely blue then log out. I flip something red once in a while to piss em off so they cant log.
thats not including the small group you guys try to bring out fred
Personnaly, I'd like to see a lot less grouping. On many nigths, I think it kind of kills the action. What I see happen all the time is there will be 10 or so ppl on one side, 15 or so on the other. You can have some fun fights until grouping starts, and the groups get bigger than 2 to 3. Then you end up with a group of 10 getting trounced by a group of 15, and the group of ten hugging a res or a keep. I have a feeling that if there was less grouping, you'd actually get more fights, things would be more interesting (than keep hugging or zerging certainly) and everyone would end up getting more points

^^This. I agree wholeheartedly. But here's the problem. And while it's not just freepside it's certainly more prevalent freepside. The first thing a lot of people do when they get to the moors is say "Any open raids?" And if there aren't any they proceed to start one. Even if there's nothing to fight. Which is just nonsense. I'd strongly suggest people start soloing more. Or if you don't wanna solo find a friend and do some duo or trio stuff. Small group action is one of the best mechanics in the moors and is largely ignored because people are in love with the safety of a large raid at their back. Too much fear of dying. Moors are more fun when you realize you'll die
So I went through all the "Ettenmoors" threads we've ever had and did some tallying of the various types of posts:
1,151 <anyplayername> sucks
1,057 <eitherside> sucks
2,814 <eitherside> zergs too much
2,970 <eitherside> sits in NPCs too much
336 <eitherside> needs to group less
437 <anyplayername> uses store items all the time
I stopped counting.
The only thing I've seen change due to complaints from people in the 6 years I've been going to the moors is the reduction in rank farming, and that's prolly because there are a lot of people on both sides who speak out against it. The other things people complain about don't consistently cause as much angst in both sides. And yes I complain about people initiating fights and running away, but I also don't expect that to change, ever, because I know it won't. If you want different behavior on a broader scale, me thinks you'll have to go to a different server, but you still might not find what you're looking for.
No I didn't really do that post counting. I just made those numbers up, but they're probably not too far off.
Soo... complaining might help you feel better but don't expect anything to change.
At least it's Friday!

Groups should really be based on numbers in order to attempt to sustain the action for as long as we can.
And this applies to both sides. So called raid leaders should keep groups to ideal numbers, downsize or even disband as needed.
An example: if creeps have 2 different groups of 10-12, a freep group of equal numbers should suffice, unless those 2 groups show a tendency to coordinate most fights.
I do notice that often times it is a dog pack (there's one about 4-5 dogs who regularly gank solos) that forces freeps to group, when elsewhere is just solo freeps and creeps here and there.
Gassy, you got lots of spare time and patience (with how slow this forums load) to count all that &&&& people write :P
I think one of the other issues is that once one side holds both rezs it becomes a slaughter. As soon as the other side attempts a flip for either rez, they get zerged and most of the time wipes. I understand that we're playing the game to have possession of the map, but there has to be some give and take. We have to allow the other side a means to build up and push back out. If we simply keep wiping them, we kill the action and ruin the fun for everyone. I think we need to look at what we're doing, and realize when to let the other side take a keep, op, or whatever.
