You're telling me that tharros or elruin doesn't have a raid out at least once a day?
yep. more often than not there is probably a small group surrounded by a bunch of soloers. i guess that they may raid up when im not out there but i wouldnt know. Elruin has had groups last couple nights, I even joined and switched to healie stuff tonight! I know, crazy...
Tonight seemed fun. It was nice to have freeps out away from the keeps - GTA is a decent place to fight, and once the freeps won a couple skirms, seemed like they wanted to stay fighting and not pve.
Ok just saying it once again..if its slow I solo...usually in the mornings. If I see that there is good action and the creeps are grouped I will join and or lead...Last night I lead (with alot of help from Tharros). Yes we wanted to fight in the open...Please remeber, Im still learning how to lead. Im doing my best to bring some different action than the same stale chit. I always take suggestions and I will invite anyone wheter they are mainly creep or freep. During prime time I am grouped alot. But not always. And I usually stay to fight. Tonight it seemed that the numbers were about even and I saw some "big" creep names on. So between Tharros and I (and getting the ok from the group. I ALWAYS ask the group for suggestions) we fought mainly in the open. Ive read time and time again from both sides that "open field fights away from the npc's" were desired. I will continue to try doing my best. Honestly, in the am (I live in new jersey so its est for me) if we dont have a rez or if I need the comms (I just got my last piece of audacity gear...thank you all freeps and creeps btw) I may help take a rez but Im usually not leading. EVERY SINGLE TIME I LEAD MY BYRD WILL READ "LEAD". I may change it occasionally to "fightus" or something to incite a good fight, but I will change it back. Sorry to Cazper. Didnt know you were solo at that moment. U know what Im talking about. Keep the good fights comeing. And please, before you judge, remeber. Its not so easy to lead a pug raid in the ettenmoors. There may be 3 or 4 of my kinnies that go out there. Im usually with other kins. And thanks to all the freeps tonight. And to all you creeps. I had alot of fun. Im mainly on during the weekends (I do work. Not a wealthy man. A limo driver actually) and will continue to try my best and lead if its a leader thats needed that night. If not, then my byrd will read "StarFire" (El=star Ruin=red flame). I hope that may have cleared some things up. Thanks again to all and gratz Daec on your spiders rank

Yeah was some interesting fights tonight away from npcs, I enjoyed it; one of these days we might fight you with even numbers ;P

Well I sure appreciate you leading, you do a great job. Thanks again for the invite last night... I was able to finish Monster Slayer T2 as well as rank up. I'm usually solo, so the RvR action was a fun change of pace. Great fights, all.
Freep raids by their nature are just much harder to lead, thus even function in comparison to their counterpart. lately you see by and mb raids out against an amalgamation of random kin members joining together in an effort to survive an organized onslaught nrout by much better organized creeps. Many times people complain that there are no freepside leaders, but IMO a lot of the issue has to do with raids members not listening to their raid leader. Whether it be a pvp or pve raid, following intructions from the raid leader is of utmost importance, as well as keeping useless conversation to a minimum during fights while bringing friendly conversation during regrouping, moving or waiting for the enemy. So to those trying to lead Freep raids, props for the patience you have. To those looking to join raids, help your leaders by listening and playing your toon to the best that you can. I'm sure creep leaders can agree that many times is not the quality of players but how they all listen an move as a cohesive group that determines the successes of a raid.
P.s. I know many will rip this saying this coming from guy who rarely groups...but hey, just stating what I think is helpful opinion. Apologies for any typos....hard to type with the iPad.

Well I can say a few things about this. Yes I lead MB raids once in a while. Not as often as you all might think. Luckily for me I have a couple others in tribe that lead now. Ungolliar does a fine job now days. Myself, I like to move around alot. Attack keeps if we have numbers, to help make things fair. Even flank if we're outnumbered. The more risky and aggressive the move, the more fun I have. We use a vent server, and are able to easily disscuss strat, call targets, and even have people out of group listening to the plan. So yes, we at times are organized. However, in contrast to what you have stated above, If I form up a random raid from ooc pugs (often greenies and unskilled young ones) It is almost always the most unorganized, embaressment you can think of. With alot of work these greenies could be shaped into something of worth, but I have not the patience for that. With creeps being Free to Play, I still think the overall average skill level of freeps outway that of the average creep. Being a sub, usually means you have a brain and have a job. (Yes I know some resort to mom and dad for the sub funds.) However thats my take on things. Back when MeW was on this server, they were almost unpenatrateable, and unstoppable. I remember times when many creeps would be so frustrated they would log, and not come back until MeW raid had ventured on to other things.
A couple nights ago, I think it was Thursday night, I actually for the very first time lead a freep raid. I had about 15 in group, including Ballblitz, Elruin, Heartoffire, Minnibale ect. So these people were regular freeps, and they did well. Unsure if they knew who I was when leading them, but we had fun. We went up against Ungolliar and my tribe most of the night. Attacked keeps, stayed on the move, was a lot of fun. We did end up wiping multiple times, but not without getting a bunch of points for ourselves. I couldn't help but laugh a little bit when listening to raid members, complain about Omani and Pugga working together. Was really thinking, it could be worse if only you knew. People followed target for the most part, and stayed near each other decently. Here and there someone would pull way too much npc's or fall behind to become dog food, but I thought it went well. Almost everyone thanked me for leading. With that said, it seems as if freeps enjoyed grouping, and wish to do so more often. Just need a couple people to come forward and do so.
Fun fight at Grothum Sunday evening It was fun to have a chaotic fight on landscape that is not used very often it was a nice change to leave the ec-ta-oc area and have a fight where I was at a complete loss as to what would happen next. Just my 2 cents but I think we need more fights in the snowy regions of the sandbox if nothing else it would make the defilers happy to get to make yellow snow and blame it on other people.
Can we pretend Orc Camp was destroyed yesterday and is nothing but radioactive smoldering ash and avoid it for the rest of June Pretty please ?
Yes please, not all of us are interested in 2 solid hours of OC/Lugz Rez camping.
Actually, this sort of ties in to what Runfred was saying a few posts back, about Freep raid members not following the leader's directions. Last night Craigus and Drendolith led the raid at various times and both kept trying to pull everyone away from OC and back to TA, either to move the fight or at least let the Creeps have a chance to re-organize and come out. Most of us would go back but there was always perhaps 1/4-1/3 of the raid who simply would not leave OC/Lugz Rez. Same thing when we'd try to meet a threat at LC or TR, a small core of us would go but I'd look at the map and see other green dots scattered halfway across the land.
As I've mentioned elsewhere, I was out of the game for about a year and it's only been during the past month that I've really been working at catching up. And I've seen this a lot, Freep raid members ignoring the leaders directions. Bloodloaf mentioned MEW raids back in the day, and he's absolutely right about how well-coordinated they were. The raids I remember before I left, if you didn't follow the leader's directions you got a warning. If you continued to ignore the leader's directions, you got booted from the raid. The raids might be smaller, but they were very well-coordinated and disciplined.
Someone out there will say, If you think you can do better then lead a raid yourself. Believe me, I've tried but it just doesn't work out very well when you're a healer Minstrel. I'm so busy looking at the raid's health bars I don't have time to call out targets or whatever. I've seen a lot of new Minstrels in the Moors since I got back, but most are usually in War Speech most of the time. I admit, it's a lot of fun to run around out there screaming at everything and calling bolts of light down from the sky. But I do realize that in the end, I'm more valuable to the raid as a Healer and leave the Creep-killing to others. I still get my share of the points, so it all works out.

Fun stuff tonight! Cheers to healers for out-of-group rezzes & heals! It looked like 30 v 30 at some points tonight. lol...anybody know numbers?
We had 14 in our raid at our high point, i believe morgul blades had a decent sized group out as well, i had a lot of fun, lets keep this up every night
Trading box for key. I know there is someone out there with keys and no box. I really want my trollstone and norbog chitin.
Silly Spider your not suppose to trade for keys or get them from loot your suppose to buy them from the $tore like duh thats why they have them there and whats this norbog chitin and trollstone talk you always get something good out of the lootboxes it says so right on the tooltip right above where they tell you that you can get a key from the $tore to open it.
Dunno what Daec meant, as I was missing most of the night, but I guess maybe he's referring how there was a fraid and Gallmir and I were getting ganked by a few dogs. Not too sure.
I do want to know when someone in the fraid last night is gonna post those screenshots of Gallmir caught with his hands on fire while he was "leeching". No idea who, but last night in freep OOC, as people in the fraid are complaining about leeching (few leaf walkers in particular)
X-person [OOC]: yeah, i got screenshots of them leeching
X-person [OOC]: mt
LOL, Gallmir, you're done bro they caught YOU good this time! So please, post those screenshots you got
p.s. Gallmir, can you next time at least have the tyrant quests? Geez, getting accussed yet epic failing at leeching. <3 u bro
whats this i hear about creeps logging off when the so called flipball storms their way thru the moors flipping the map blue? i can remember a time that the entirety of the map stayed red for days on end. what causes the issue now with a blue map? dont go all bonkers on me for asking, just curious what it looks like from both sides of the fence
and also...if a freep switches to creep because they want to help out even the numbers dont grief them, thats dumb :/
and also...its always seemed to me fights are better when creeps control lugz and freeps control tr...thoughts?

For some reason I can't quote, but to answer your questions Maie, from my point of view anyway:
I don't see a problem with a blue map. Actually I would prefer if it stayed blue permanently but I know it wouldn't. I think the problem most people have with the constant flipping of keeps is it happens during primetime a lot when both sides have decent numbers to have good group v group or raid v raid fights. And when one side gets overwhelming numbers they just start flipping stuff and when the opposing side can't contend with them they afk, log, wait it out etc...and then the keep flipping group seems to just vanish - most of the time. "We got out comms, flipped some stuff our color, time to leave". That's the way I interpret it anyway. I guess mostly Turbines fault. Everything they do to generate more people to go to the moors, the more pve takes place in the moors.
For people switching to help the opposing side, it's cool and all but the way I usually see it is those flipping usually make the side they flip to have overwhelming numbers. I think every night I've been out I've had the outnumbered buff...sometimes due to people switching. Once in a while it balances things out.
Although I do prefer an all blue map I understand both sides like to have a rez. Me, I have maps so don't care where I rez at. It depends on what the other keeps are like. Usually when everything is blue and creeps just have Lugs it ends up being a terribly boring oc/rez fight despite what some of us try to say. But I'll agree in general when creeps have lugs and freeps tr, there seems to be more consistent action, I guess due to the creeps without maps not having to run from grams and freeps not having to ride from GV.
Some nights, great fights....Most of the time, epic boredom. Both sides are responsible for killing the action.

No it makes me giggle and there is not a whole lot left in this game that can do that
If you switched to even up the fights more power to ya most people just switch to be on the winning side most of the time so if you caught some hate for flipping it may have just been a knee jerk reaction from people who are used to the kids who want to be in the bigger zerg flip flopping back and forth.
no, i didnt really answer myself Daec. In OOC freepside when the "flipball" is doing their thing there are quite a few people who have tried to mention that flipping all the keeps maybe isnt the best thing to do if youre looking for good fights. Generally the replies are "Shut your face I'll do what I want, if you dont like it ####." Unfortunate.
I also assume that a good portion of the "flipballers" (the more i say it the more i snicker) also flip sides and re-flip the keeps for more coms.
I was just mentioning that there have been times where the map is a constant state of creep control and that seems to be perfectly fine for some. Meh, I dunno, i think the fights have been pretty fun recently all things considered.
