Thread: Freep Ladies Night....Awesome

The ladies of Landroval are AWESOME. Seriously. Last night there was no whining, no complaining, everyone stuck together very well, we supported each other, waited for our members with internet/link dead issues, protected our healers, pushed against overwhelming odds, died repeatedly in a cheerful manner, and made an amazing discovery that there is no lag in a ladies raid (turns out the men are wholly responsible for the lag!....we choose not to take the recent server restart into consideration).

I'm not saying that these things can't or don't happen in a men's raid.......but......the ladies on this server are just plain awesome. I got some nice screenies last night which I will post tonight after work....assuming that I have learned how to post a screenshot by then.

I had a long day at work yesterday and walked in my house literally 10 minutes before the raid was supposed to start. I wasn't incredibly excited about leading it because I'm not an experienced leader, and I was already exhausted from work. I was so pleasantly surprised at how fun, and nice, and cheerful everyone was, and the raid that I thought might last an hour lasted for three, and Lolien very capably took over when I was half asleep at my desk. I think all-in-all I played out there for 5 hours yesterday, and I had a great time the whole way through.

Thanks for making my first ladies freep night raid so nice (leading and playing!)

And Pouncy.....I am not going to forget the shrew comment. See you in the moors

So true! Last night was a lot of fun, we should definitely make it a weekly or bi-weekly event.

I do not. I am not sure why, I just don't like to. I have rolled male avatars before but I always delete them rather quickly.

i dont, i dont like looking at a mans behind, nor a womans i just play what represents me to the best i can. i honestly think that men should not draw/create female toons lol the anatomy is always wrong.

Sorry, I just got tunnel vision on the "bi" thing...

Funny thing is, I had completely forgotton it was ladies night. It is always a hoot to see you all running around, but not so pleasent when you are out to neuter pounce with your banjos.

Great fun all in all, I just wish I could have stuck around longer. Seems my time is beign gonbbled up these days.

I have not met a women who rolled a male avatar and stuck with it. I think its because us women are proud of who we are and not afraid to show those men that women can kick some butt! We have to represent!

Any chance you could run this on Friday nights? as that would make it Saturday morning for me and Im sure would get up early for this

Thanks for the great fun out there. That was the most fun I've had in a long time in the moors even with the repeated deaths. I'm so tired of being around people who cry about this side or that side being op and cursing when they get zerged. The ladies really know how to do it! <3

This was the first freepside ladies night I know of, and as of right now it's not planned as a weekly thing. But I'm sure we can do it again and do it on a Friday night for you

I do. Not as many in this game, but previous games have taught me that sometimes it is safer to play behind a male avatar. Really wish I would have been out there to see this! Darn early work! (shakes fist!)

I am have not been out in the Moors since February at a Ladies night on Creepside... it brings more players out, gets them to play. Mania doing it on Creepside got many non players who were the spouses of players to pick up the game, and it got many people who would never touch PvMP to join in, and some stayed. I think it was one of the things that really helped grow that community. When Mamacass continued it, it only amplified the fun and the growth. I am all for Ladies night Freep-side anytime... good idea to post an announcement a week before on non PvMP forums. Anyway, I had a great time playing last night, and I am very impressed by the Freep community these days, I was in several different raids, and generally everyone was upbeat and helpful. Would love to see a ladies night anytime one is being run.

So true. I have played large bald women with fierce looks, and it has the same effect as playing a male avatar... scares creepy men away... well except for Gutlard... Non prescription toons are only somewhat effective... <wink>

Haha yeah! In DAoC I had a firbie druid, and I didn't get many suggestive tells while playing her!
