UPDATED: July 12, 2011: New route utilizing “new” ports currently available - doable in about 35 minutes!!!!; adds details about the non-“delivery” repeatable quests; various edits for improved readability.
EDIT: December 20, 2011: The AA quest, "An Inn League Disaster," has been removed from the game for the Yule Festival 2011. Some of the totals and details below have not been edited to reflect this change.
Purpose of this Guide:
To provide details on completing all 22 “delivery” daily repeatable quests for both the Inn League (IL) and Ale Association (AA) in under the allotted 1 hour time limit, and to provide details on the “Other” daily repeatable quests for both the IL and AA.
Not covered in this guide:
Intro and various NON-repeatable quests for both the IL and AA, as well as 4 daily quests available only during one festival and not the others. These 4 festival-unique quests include: 1 AA and 1 IL daily quest in the Haunted Burrow (Fall Festival), and 1 IL daily quest in the Maze and 1 IL quest chain called Bullroarer’s Challenge (Spring Festival). The links below can help you with these, as well as one-time quests, intro quests, deeds, titles, barter items, etc.
Part I: Intro
General Info and Useful Links:
The Inn League and Ale Association are “feuding” factions of hobbits and dwarves, respectively, which are battling it out over who are the best brewers in Middle Earth!
It definitely IS possible to obtain Kindred status with both factions, contrary to what some believe upon first blush of the repeatables, as each daily quest gives +900 Rep for one faction and -500 Rep for the other.
In fact, I’d argue that these two factions are two of the easiest to achieve Kindred status in the game, as far as time and effort are concerned! (Of course, buying 100s of Rep items for certain factions could be much quicker, but can be VERY expensive on AH).
The following are great links that give full details on quests, bestowers, locations, deeds, rewards and barter items that I do not cover in this guide. Many thanks go to those who put these together:
Part II: Rewards!!! Rewards!!! And More Rewards!!!
Read the other guides listed above to do some of the preliminary non-repeatable quests that will quickly catapult you to Acquaintance status (i.e. the first time you do the Inn League Initiation from the Party Tree in Hobbitton, you get +10,000 Rep!). After that, the daily repeatables are a very fast way to progress to Kindred status.
You may choose to work on just AA reputation, or just IL reputation, or both at once. Either way, the dailies give lots of +Rep and also faction barter items, called Badges (“Badge of Taste” for IL and “Badge of Dishonour” for AA). Check out the above guides for barter rewards. Note that 1 Badge can be traded in for 3 festival Tokens (you pick which of the four festival tokens you want). This is a VERY fast way to grind festival Tokens!!!
Each daily gives +900 Rep for one Faction and -500 Rep for the other plus one Badge (“of Taste” or “of Dishonour”), except the Challenges (i.e. “pub crawls”); the AA Challenge and the IL Challenge give +1,200 Rep and NO negative Rep (and NO Badges). Here is how you get Kindred with both factions: you do repeats for both factions over and over until eventually you will be Kindred with one faction and 500 less than Kindred with the other. Simply do one last Challenge (“pub crawl”) for +1,200 and you will be Kindred with both!
Below are some daily totals to keep in mind – the rewards come fast relative to other factions in the game:
Both IL and AA simultaneously, DAILY totals:
• Earn +4,400 Rep for BOTH factions from 22 total “delivery” dailies (11 quests at +900 Rep and 11 quests at -500 Rep, for both factions)
• Earn +600 Rep for IL and +3,400 Rep for AA from the “Other” dailies (see Part IV)
• Earn +1,200 Rep for both Challenges (i.e. “pub crawls” in Bree and the Shire)
• Total Rep Earned: +6,200 for IL and +9,000 for AA
• Total Badges Earned: 15 for IL and 17 for AA
NOTE: If you want to keep the +Rep even, only do 4 of the 6 AA "other" repeatables, and you will end up with +7,200 Rep and +15 Badges for both factions every day!
ONLY IL Rep quests, DAILY totals:
• Total Rep Earned for IL: +14,700
• Total Badges of Taste Earned: 15
ONLY AA Rep quests, DAILY totals:
• Total Rep Earned for AA: +16,500
• Total Badges of Dishonour Earned: 17
This is why this can be a very fast Rep grind! After you do the Initiation intro quest for both factions, you will need about 75,000 Rep to get Kindred status with either faction. If you want kindred with both, you can earn both in 12 days (11 if you "even" out the +Rep by doing only 4 of the 6 AA "other" dailies). If you only care about IL, it’s 6 days; and for only AA, it’s 5 days!!!!
Fun Note: Your Rep bar totals for either faction can actually go negative (up to -10,000)! For instance, if you only focus on +Rep for IL, then eventually your AA rep bar will drop from Neutral down to…. ENEMY. These are the only two factions where you can be considered an “Enemy” (the Lossoth of Forochel also have a level below Neutral, but it’s called “Outsider.”)
Part III: “Delivery” Repeatables
In order to do all 22 "delivery" dailies, you need to be at least level 40. Also, you need to do the pre-requisite "Challenges" (i.e. “pub crawls”) once for both factions in order to open up the 11 repeatable delivery quests. For IL, go to the Party Tree in Hobbitton to start the Inn League Challenge. For AA, you first need to pick up a quest in Thorin's beer hall that sends you to the Prancing Pony in Bree to do the Ale Association “pub crawl.” Note: After you do the initial "Challenges" once, they become dailies and both give +1,200 Rep for one faction, and NO negative Rep.
You can complete all 22 “delivery” quests in under the allotted hour. The route I provide below takes about 35 minutes, BUT uses LOTS of ports. You can probably do it with fewer ports, but you will need at least some ports and lots of swift travel to get it all done in under an hour. If you are a hunter, it can be even quicker (Domineaux on page 4 of this thread details a hunter's route that takes 33 minutes! Thanks, Domineaux!) Also, the route I give makes sure that you are visiting places in the right order in order to complete all 22 quests, but in NO way is it the only route that would work.
These "delivery" quests ask you to obtain a drink and deliver it to a "target" Inn League NPC somewhere in Eriador. The IL quests ask you to deliver a "desired drink" (my nomenclature) to the target NPC, to make him happy. The AA quests ask you to deliver an "unwanted drink" to the target NPC, to make him upset (try to read the chat text and quests if you can as some are pretty clever, but DO NOT take too long!).
For the IL quests (but NOT the AA quests), you can already have the "desired" drinks in your inventory before picking up the quest. You need all 11 "desired drinks" in your inventory before you begin. The following list shows you where to get the 11 “desired drinks” (you might as well buy stacks of 50 and keep them until the next festival!):
Prancing Pony (Bree)
*Moor-boar Beer
*Stars of Old
Combe & Wattle Inn (Combe)
*Beakbreaker Ale
Thorin's Hall Inn (Thorin's Hall)
*Bombur's Beard Lager
Limael's Vineyard (Celondim)
*Limael's Vintage
Bird & Baby Inn (Michel Delving)
*Blagrove's Brown
Ivy Bush (Hobbiton)
*Thistlebelly Brew
Golden Perch (Stock)
*Brandy Wine
Forsaken Inn (Lone Lands)
*Swill
*Forsaken Ale
The Last Homely House (Rivendell)
*Dorwinion White
Both the IL and AA "delivery" repeatables can be picked up in a central location (any Festival location). However, you cannot have BOTH quests for a particular "target" NPC in your quest log at the same time. So how to do all 22 at once? The IL quests are available at the centralized location, BUT they are also available directly from the "target" NPC. So, you simply pick up ONLY the 11 AA quests from the Festival location (i.e. Party Tree in Hobbitton) at once before starting. Then, at each “target” NPC, you first complete the AA quest, than accept the IL quest and complete it right there.
Ports Used:
• 6 Ports (Rivendell, Michel Delving, Thorin’s Hall, Bree, Ost Guruth, and Enedwaith);
• 2 Bound Maps (Echad Candelleth and Annunlos = Forsaken Inn); you need to set these up before doing the delivery route. Also, note, that I bought from the Store the item that reduces the cooldown timer to 30 minutes for these.
• Moors Map used 1 time.
• Optional: Kinship House Map (Thorin’s) just to get back “home” after you’re done.
• Note: I've used tons of ports, with store bought "Bound Maps" and reduced cooldown. You can certainly do the route with fewer ports, substituting in multiple swift travels, etc. I've simply posted my route in order to reduce the amount of time to as little as I can figure out: I've done it in 34 minutes once when load screens were fast, and I didn't get distracted! :-)
Graphics Changed to Low Resolution:
• Saves time with loading screens (21 times total) which can add up as the countdown timer works in Real-Time.
• Helps when doing the Challenges as it negates most of the disorienting “drunken” effects of consuming so many drinks.
Key to Guide Below:
"Ride" means use your personal mount (use a +68% speed mount, if available).
"Travel" means use the horse from the Stablemaster.
"Swift" means use Swift Travel from the Stablemaster.
“Port” is used generically whenever porting, mapping home, etc.
"Get Drink" means click on the NPC (bartender) and advance the quest, which will give you the "unwanted" AA drink.
"Deliver" means 3 things:
• Click on NPC and complete the AA quest
• Click again on NPC to obtain the IL quest (which will automatically "complete" because you have the "desired" drink in your inventory);
• Click on NPC a third time to "turn in" the IL quest.
• DO NOT mistakenly leave the NPC before you have done all this and received +900/-500 for BOTH IL and AA.
My Route:
START at Party Tree
*Obtain all 11 AA quests ONLY (make sure to have 12 quest slots open before doing this)
Ride to Hobbitton
*Get Drink at Inn
Ride to Bywater
*Get 2 Drinks at Inn
Ride to Frogmorton
*Get Drink
PORT to Forsaken Inn (using Bound Map at “Annunlos”)
*Get Drink

*Deliver
DONE! In under 35 minutes (not doing the AA Challenge)! I then PORT KINHOUSE to Thorin’s Hall to get ready for the “Other” dailies listed below.
Part IV: “Other” Repeatables
After doing the “delivery” repeatables, I then do the “Other” repeatables for both factions (more Badges for more festival tokens!). There are 6 AA daily repeatables obtained from Jonar in Thorin’s Hall. Once you complete one of those – called “Irritating Initiation” – you will get access to 4 IL dailies. You will then have to complete these 4 IL dailies to re-open the AA “Irritating Initiation” again.
6 AA “other” repeatables:
• Inn League Disaster [EDIT: Quest removed for Yule Festival 2011]
• Irritating Initiation
• Jonar’s Special Brew
• Tainted Mug
• Draught Drought
• Jonar’s Special Delivery (30 min timer)
4 IL “other” repeatables:
• Covert Reparations I
• Covert Reparations II
• Covert Reparations III
• Covert Reparations IV
Note: it’s been a while, but I think after the first time you complete the AA “Irritating Initiation”, you are actually given a one-time quest called “Covert Reparation” from the NPC at the Party Tree in Hobbitton which directs you to do the 4 new IL dailies (called “Covert Reparations I thru IV”). After this first time, these 4 IL dailies are obtained directly from the target NPCs in Needlehole, Gondamon, Noglond, and Thorin’s Beer Hall, and can be done in any order.
The route below describes how I do these 10 “Other” repeatables, although it’s not as clearly spelled out as the “delivery” ones above. In a nut shell, I pick up all 6 AA dailies from Jonar in Thorin’s Hall basement, do them on my route to the Party Tree, drop the “Deluxe Stink Bomb” for the “Jonar’s Special Delivery” quest (this is the only quest with a timer, which is 30 minutes), and complete the rest of the AA dailies in the Shire. I then turn in all the AA quests in Thorins, and ride again to the Party Tree doing the 4 IL dailies along the way.
Doing it this way puts me back at the Party Tree at the end of all this, which sets me up for the next day’s “delivery” repeatables. However, it means that I essentially turn in 6 AA quests first, then 4 IL quests after that, and therefore I end the day Kindred with IL yet 2,000-less-than kindred for AA. See Part V below for obtaining Kindred with both factions, if interested.
Note: you can do the IL Challenge (Shire “pub crawl”) while doing the last two AA dailies in the Shire. It’s definitely doable, you just need to get used to doing them all together and map out a good route (essentially following the Challenge clockwise around the Shire starting from Party Tree and taking short detours here and there to finish the AA dailies, ie. puncturing kegs and stealing recipes).
My Route for the “Other” Dailies:
START at Jonar in Thorin’s Beer Hall
Obtain all 6 AA dailies
*Harass Dwarf
*Do Inn League Disaster near stables in Thorins
Ride to Noglond
*Harass Dwarf
Ride to Gondamon
*Harass Dwarf
Ride to Needlhole (Shire)
*Harass Dwarf
*Collect 5 Swamp Gas nearby
Ride Sandson’s Farm
*Collect Egg
Ride Party Tree
*Drop Deluxe Stink Bomb
*OPTIONAL: Start IL Challenge (“pub crawl”)
Ride in clockwise fashion around all of Shire, using the quest tracker on your Shire Map to puncture kegs as well as steal recipes (and drink if doing the optional IL Challenge)
End at Michel Delving, having completed 5/6 of the AA Dailies (and optional IL Challenge)
Swift Celondim
*Kill and loot 7 Slugs (VERY close to the stables, along the river’s edge) to complete the 6th AA quest
Swift Thorin’s
*Turn in 6 AA dailies to Jonar in Thorin’s Basement
*Make nice with Dwarf (IL quest)
Ride Noglond
*Make nice with Dwarf (IL quest)
Ride Gondamon
*Make nice with Dwarf (IL quest)
Ride Needlehole (Shire)
*Make nice with Dwarf (IL quest)
Ride to Party Tree DONE! And you are ready for the next day’s “Delivery” repeatables!
Note: If you prefer to keep the +Rep even for both factions on a daily basis, simply omit 2 of the 6 AA "other" repeatables from the route above. Duralt of Gladden suggests (page 5 of this thread) omitting "Inn League Disaster" and "Irritating Initiation" quests and provides an altered route. (Thanks, Duralt!!!).
Part V: Kindred with Both Factions
In order to get Kindred with both the AA and IL factions simultaneously, simply stop the repeatables quests when you are Kindred with one faction and within 1,200 Rep of Kindred with the other. Then, simply complete the Challenge (“pub crawl”) for whichever faction is not Kindred.
Since I’m collecting Badges (to exchange for Festival tokens) at this point, I simply keep grinding the dailies as described above. Each day I end up Kindred with IL and 2,000 less than Kindred with AA. On the last day of the festival, I’ll alter the order of quest turn-ins in the following way:
Last Day of Festival:
Do “delivery” dailies as normal, but DO NOT do the optional AA Challenge (“pub crawl”)
Complete all AA “other” quests (IL Challenge is optional)
*Turn in ONLY 5 of 6 AA Quests at Thorin’s basement
Swift Michel Delving
*Complete and turn in 3 out of 4 IL “Covert Reparations” quests, going from Needlehole to Gondamon to Noglond
Travel to Thorin’s Hall
*Turn in last remaining AA quest
*Complete and turn in last IL “Covert Reparations” quest (Thorin’s Basement)
Swift to W. Bree
*Complete AA Challenge (“pub crawl”)
Enjoy Kindred Status with Both AA and IL
One final note (Summer Festival Only): During either the “delivery” route or the “other” dailies route, I like to pick up Race Tokens every time the quests are available (2 hour cooldown) from the NPC in Thorin’s Hall Basement and the NPC at the Party Tree in Hobbitton.
I hope this helps! Enjoy obtaining your AA or IL goodies, or Badges for Festival Tokens, or whatever!

Re: Ale Association and Inn League Repeatables Guide
Thanks for posting this!
Just a couple things to add:
~ if all you're interested in is IL rep, I definitely recommend on stocking up on all the drinks before-hand and picking up the quests at the delivery NPCs. It saves a lot of time and now you can get a few of each drink so that you can just do the repeatables efficiently each day without having to go back and buy the required drinks.
~ you get a bonus 1,200 rep the first time you complete all 11 deliveries with the IL; there may be a similar bonus for the AA, I'm not sure.
~ is the Bullroarer's Challenge still up in Brockenborings? That's another source for some IL rep.
Re: Ale Association and Inn League Repeatables Guide
The dwarf I created specifically to do the AA quests is only level 23, so most of the delivery quests are out of his league, so to speak. Still, the amount of reputation even a low level character can gain per day is fairly impressive.
Half of being clever is making certain you are not being stupid.

The Hobbit that has the IL pub crawl quest near the Party Tree also has a series of quests where you apologize to the four Dwarves that you had previously coerced into joining the AA. There are five quests in this chain initially, but only the last one is repeatable.
I'm not sure if these quests will even show up if you've never done the AA quest that you're making up for, however.

Ah, I've never done the AA quests on my IL guy. I guess that's why I don't see them.

Re: Ale Association and Inn League Repeatables Guide
Thanks for the Hunter path, Gerardic! Wow, 15 min to spare! Nice!
I'm actually amazed by how many people ask me about my "Creep" title and how to get it (kindred with Ale Assoc)... I figured many more people would have worked toward AA kindred already, but I guess not?

Re: Ale Association and Inn League Repeatables Guide
As a personal challenge I tried to do just the IL quests without using maps (but using stockpiled drinks) in under 1 hour.
Started at Thorins ended up in LL with 2minutes left! If I used maps and other ports, I could have done it with 20minutes to spare but it was a nice challenge
Re: Ale Association and Inn League Repeatables Guide
Doing all 22 of those quests at once is a blast! I was able to complete them with 6 minutes to spare but with some changes:
-Map to personal home in shire -> Map to moors (r4 map) then to MD
-MAP to Thorin's -> Map to personal home in Thorin's
-(my kin house is also in the elf area)
-After the delivery at Thrasi's Lodge I used the Rep port to Ost Guruth
-After the delivery at Ost Haer I used my moors map and then went to Rivendell.
Re: Ale Association and Inn League Repeatables Guide
If you have all the drinks and want to use ports it should take maybe 40 minutes to do this. I use one port and it only takes me about 45 minutes. And if i used more rented mounts it might take off even more time.
Basically i do the lodge, then self mount up to T.H.; then swift travel to west bree. swift up to forochel and swift to rivendel, over the misty mountains swift travel. rent down to tal brunin, back to rivendel, swift to ost guruth (mount to ost haer). Then port to bree, self mount up to thornleys, mount back to bree, swift to esteldin (dismount at spawn) self mount up to orthrikar, self mount to esteldin, rent to aughaire, rent back to esteldin, swift to bree, swift to M.D. rent to hobbit and rent to brock (or self mount to brock), then rent to oatbarton.
Could switch it up some and end with ost haer. By swifting to bree from rivendel and doing that loop, then swifting to ost gurth from south bree. Would save a port from ost haer.
Now on my alt i am trying to get a free mount for it does take an hour because he has the bree pony and not so many rep ports.
But with a quick mount and all the swift ports open its 45 minutes tops. But it will cost about 200 silver to do it.

Re: Ale Association and Inn League Repeatables Guide
Wow. Wish I would have seen this a few festivals ago. This was great. Just finished my first run today with 50 seconds to spare
Had to improvise a little as in the middle of the run I realized my toon did not have all the forochel swift travels!! Improvised quickly though and still got it.
One thing that people can use to supplement the ports if they do not have the right ones is the moors map. If you are rank 4 it is actually on a 30 min timer, so you can use it twice during the hour if necessary. I used it twice and it saved me at the end
Edit: Lol.. someone above me already talked about using the GV map. Sorry

Re: Ale Association and Inn League Repeatables Guide
just a question..if you get kindred with one fraction...does that lock in so you can start building up the other side without losing rep? Because I would kind of like to focus getting the goat first...but dont want to then lose kindred later when I do the Inn league.
The only thing that could make this game better is even more realistic trees. Especially in lorien Full immersion complete

The assumption I'm working with is hitting Kindred will not lock, but truncate any rep that goes over the level, then cause you to drop down to ally as soon as you do a quest that causes you to lose rep.
I've seen this behavior when I've got one faction near a rep level, and turn in a quest for another faction. I've actually hit ally multiple times with each faction, but have only recently gotten it high enough that both stay ally.

When you get kindred, it does not lock, unfortunately. It's almost better to go for both at once, IMO. If one maxes out first, then you could focus on the other, but eventually you will need to build them both up near the end by doing rep runs for both. No matter what, eventually you will be kindred with one and like 500 shy of the other. Then do a quest which does not give negative rep, like either of the IL or AA pub crawls.
Re: Ale Association and Inn League Repeatables Guide
I made my own guide today - Granted, it's only Inn League rep deliveries, but it also only relies on your basic map, saved to South Bree, and nothing else.
Re: Ale Association and Inn League Repeatables Guide
Well, there's a lot of rep to be gained by doing almost all of the IL/AA quests each day.
If you do all of the delivery quests, that's 4.4k rep to each faction there, with the pub crawls, that's another 1.2 (up to a toal of 5.6k), then throw in the haunted house (400, total of 6k), then the 4 IL Covert Reparation quests, and your four favorite AA quests, for another 1.6k rep, giving you a total of 7.6k rep to both factions DAILY.
That makes this one of the fastest grinds to kindred, giving you enough rep to easily make it to Ally, if not kindred, if you start working on this for the festival.
Only downside is running out of vault space for the tokens XD

Shhh!! Not until I get all my rep up. I don't want to have to wait until next season to finish. I think that all that running around for hours on end is more than enough.
Re: Ale Association and Inn League Repeatables Guide
Thanks for posting this guide. Hopefully I'll get to level 20 before the the Fall Festival is over. I had tried to do the IL Pub quests but failed numerous times because I don't have a mount yet, hehe.

It's been a while since I've done them, but I think what happens is once you do the "other" repeatables (i.e. non-delivery quests) for the AA, it opens up some repeats for the IL. It's like you've made all these IL reps mad and ruined their fun with the AA quests, the you can make things better with the "other" IL repeats (i.e. go back to the NPCs you just pissed off and tell them you are sorry!). Something like that... Sorry I don't have the details.

Sounds about right, there's a quest NPC beside each of the dwarves in Thorin's Beer Hall, Noglond, Gondomon, and Needlehole. I think the quests may need a "master" quest from the party tree to unlock. Once you've done the master quest, they stay open as dailies, although I'm not sure if they close for the day if you do any AA quests before you do them or not. Haven't really tested that part yet.
Re: Ale Association and Inn League Repeatables Guide
Just updated the original post with a few details for the Fall Festival, omst important being....
Apparently, you can now buy ALL the Inn League "desired drinks" from any of the the NPCs that give you the repeatable quests (Thorin's, Party Tree, etc.). I have not checked this in game, but that is very cool rather than having to first go buy all the drinks at 8 (or so) different locations throughout Eriador.
Thanks TsarithArcher for pointing this out to me!
EDIT: Hmm, I checked the Party Tree IL NPC and he did not have any of the "desired drinks" for sale. Maybe it's a different NPC or maybe at a different location? For now, I'm re-editing my original post to say that you still need to pick up all the IL "desired drinks" in advance.... Please someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Re: Ale Association and Inn League Repeatables Guide
I was able to do the IL quests once, where you apologize to the dwarves, but I can't find them again. I just finished running the AA quests, and the IL ones still aren't there now. The Inn League reps at the party tree only have the deliveries and the pub crawl.
