    Weekly Rift of Nurz-Gashru

    Rift of Nurz-Gashu

I am starting a weekly Rift. I miss the content and want to see the rest of the world outside of MoM and SoM. We have a number of people who still have SoA only content and all are able to enjoy this.

The Rift is a great place to train for how to use your talents in a raid setting. It was previously the end-game content at level 50, so it will be a little bit easier to deal with since it's likely that the majority of the people in the raid will probably be higher than level 50. Do not underestimate it. We need to work as a group to succeed in the Rift and a single bad choice can spell doom for us all.

The following are the guidelines for the near future. You do not have to be a member of any specific Kinship or in any Kinship at all to join. Just be ready and able to be there. If you have alts that you'd like to bring on the other run please just be gracious and let those who haven't run have the chance. If I missed anything you can see, let me know.

The minimum level to join is 50.
    1. You must have these traits equipped:
Captain – In Defense of Middle Earth
Loremaster – Dunadain Learning and in-combat wound removal.
Minstrel – Fellowship's Heart, Hopeful Heart and Rally (this will require re-traiting)
(If you need help getting these traits shoot me a message and we'll find a way to work on it.)
    2. Always attack through the person specified as the main target assist unless your assignment is otherwise. AoE attacks can kill us all. No AoE unless called for by the leader.
    3. No looting during Battles. Some people only use the keyboard and the pop-ups block the viewing area and....it's annoying. If you are looting a mob you're not doing your job and someone will likely pay the price for it.
    4. Never pass the raid leader as there is a method to pulls and a bad pull will be hard to overcome.
    5. In combat rezz's will be done at the discretion of the raid leader.
    6. Work on your traited virtues. If you need help shoot me a message. I have a couple of characters at or near 50 that I can use to work on them with you and will be glad to do so. Some of my 65's have need of some work as well.
    We need at least
1 Guard, 1 Captain, 1 Champion, 2 Minstrel, 1 Hunter, 1 Loremaster, 1 Burglar for each raid. (Supposing level 50s)
The other 4 spots will be according to the order of sign up except the spot the raid leader takes on if the needed spots are filled.
We'll run the event on a first come - first serve basis. If the player signed up is not online at the posted start time and is one of the specified spots, the next of that class in line will be invited into that spot or in the case of the non-specific 4 in order of sign up, so sign up as a alternate if you plan on being on but are not sure. I will update the list in the thread every few hours and will fill for the Saturday raid on one thread and the Sunday on another. I will start the thread 2 days before the planned start time.
The raid is a bit long so be punctual and have at least the following items with you:
    2 +5 30 Minute Hope Tokens
    Battle and Warding Lore
    Potions
    Food
    Oils for Hunters and Wardens
(If you need help getting these items shoot me a message and I'll get them made for you.)

    Looting:
    1. There are a number of rare teal items, cloaks, jewelry, shields and weapons along with a number of very rare orange items. Some are class specific and some are not. Only roll if you will use it. If you win a rare item, do not roll again unless it's on a class specific item and you are the only one of that class in the raid or the other has or doesn't want it and it's bind on aquire.
    2. Once you have won a rare teal or orange item you will not be able to roll on subsequent armour gems or rare loot at the bosses unless everyone who is rolling for the items has allready won one as well. Be mindfull of that.
    3. Part of the Balrog loot is a Broken Chain Link. Please, only roll on this item if you're planning on joining the raid the following week. Please do no turn the link in till the following week so that the raid can get the Hope buff for the quest. If you need the jewelry item but can't make it for the raid, let me know and we'll try to make some arrangements so you get your stuff
    4. Once again....DO NOT LOOT DURING BATTLE!
We will start gathering at Rivendell 15 minutes before raid time in order to get the hope buff then transportation to the Rift will be provided (I will camp a character there) and we will proceed. Make sure to have travel rations. Hope buff at 5 minutes till. We will broadcast global so that any others that want it can make their way there.

You can prepare yourself by perusing http://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/The_Rift_of_N%C3%BBrz_Gh%C3%A2 shu and familiarize yourself with the coming battles.

The full raid is near 4 hours.
Planned runs to the Balrog will be at 6:00pm Eastern on Saturday and 8:00pm Eastern on Sunday in order to get as many people through as we can and I will post seperate threads for each. It would be extremely helpful to get an experienced leader for one of those runs. I will do both but that may not be possible every week. I will try my best to get some help from overseas and maybe get a run in for those who's play time is in the early hours here in the U.S and will post for that if enough interested people let me know their play times.

Keep an eye on these forums and lets enjoy the entire LotRO experience
