Thread: Trophies of War (Angmar) broken???

Quest is in Angmar - "Trophies of War" which is part of "Crannog's Challenge". You are supposed to go to Tor Gailvin and kill the Duvardain to get a bunch of pendents and amulets. Pretty typical.

Is this quest broken? I've canceled and reset the quest and I've carved through Tor Gailvin twice without a single medalion/pendant drop.

It is driving me nuts. I want to complete Crannog's challenge and this is the 3rd prerequisite. Anyone else having trouble with the quest?

It has been a long time since I've done this quest. Have killed in both areas? There are two sections to this camp. The lower section with the statue. The upper section in the back through the second set of gates.

I'll head back there soon and check. I went back to Evendim and the Trollshaws for a bit.

You might just have had a real unlucky, but it does not sound like it since you canceled and picked it up again. My Cappy finished this not too long ago with no real issue.

Have you bugged it? In fact this sounds more like and in game DM help request to me. I find the in game GM seems to get to you rather quickly now with good answers.

FWIW I had the same problem. Killed dozens of the Duvardain around and in Tor Gailvin with nary a drop.

no, it's not bugged; yes i have done it recently. however...

it's been my experience that only Duvardain deeper inside the stronghold (where deeper = from the tent filled with 3 guys and up the hill) drop the tokens. if you farm the Duvardain closer to the entrance, you'll finish the racial slayer deed before you'll see a drop.

I know this is an old thread but the items and mobs are still set up in what might be a confusing way at this location. I thought I'd echo what others have said and add a bit more detail.

As you approach the entrance if instead of entering and fighting mobs you go to the left and uphill you will come to another unguarded gate. Passing through that gate you will find some scattered wargs and a couple of individual hillmen. Just past them is a large tent. The guard outside and the hillmen inside have the "trophies".
