Thread: Just hit 65

So I Just hit 65 as of last night. I was wondering if there were any sort of gear guides that could point me in the right direction for what to go for since most of them still seem to be relating to level 60 MoM. Or are those guides still the best we can do relating to gear etc.

Radience gear, if you have already got the +10 rad gear you'll need the +15 and +25, run SG and SH over and over for medallions.

Most level 60 teals are better for you than most level 65 junk found in mirkwood areas, if you have the better level 60 gear which you probably do not (guessing a main toon with raid gear from DN etc wouldnt just now be 65, but thats just a guess).

That said, take a roll around the mirkwood vendors for feathers and pick up some earrings, a new cloak, a new hat, etc as you see fit, if any are upgrades to your current gear. Then look over the radience armors from your trainer, the boots for example are probably upgrades, and figure out which pieces you need (or maybe, if you plan to raid, all of them !!). Also look at the crafted level 60 gear (teals) and the new crafted stuff (mostly trash but one or 2 items might be good), if you do not plan to raid these may be your best option.

2 crafted earrings (with melee crit) or bartered ones from Mirkeaves
1 bartered neck from the main town in Mirkwood
bartered pocket in Haunted Inn (I believe) / guard's charm
2 bartered bracelets from Haunted Inn (similar to Insiduous Cuffs)
2 crafted aureate rings

Armour: Chest/Leggings/Gloves and Boots from Moria; Head and Shoulders: rad pieces from your trainer in main town in Mirkwood

LIs: lvl 65 3rd age weapon with crit/aoe/relentless with crafted +390 crit and offence rating relic
Rune: power cost legacies / ebbing / rising +390 crit and offence relic

Virtues: Valour, Justice, Loyalty, Discipline and Innocence at 10

4 ST + 3 AOE

CB / Ferocious Strikes / Explosion of Blades

May take a little (or not) to get an LI with the perfect legacies, but keep trying. Also, ask kinmates for LIs

Not hard to be a very well equipped champ. Hurts me the will and fate I keep seeing around on champ's jewellery. Man-up

Good quick and dirty guide. Should be pretty quick for him to obtain too since his my.lotro profile shows he already has the 4 VM pieces.

Other thingies...

Shoulders: Great ones in Epic 3.1 until you farm for the Mirkwood 25 Radiance pieces.
Cloak: Barter for one in Gathburz (Friend rep required).
Rings: Arangor, barter ring in Ashenslades. Good tide you over piece until you get a crit crafted, grab two and replace your current rings. There's also Ril-mir in Sammath Gul if you want to only craft one crit Loth ring and get that drop for the other slot.
