Rosslin, your screenshots are beautiful. I especially like this one.
Thank you!
Even if mighty Champions were born to do great deeds and battle for their lands, I love to share the beautiful and sometimes vile places my journeys take me to.
Not too long ago I was trying to take cool screenshots of my Hobbit and his warsteed by dismounting him all over again. Some of them turned out just like I intented, like this one:
...but then one failed, I guess I took a screenshot just before the horse appeared. I had a good laugh when I saw this:
btw Rosslin, your screenshots are all really amazing. I love the one from a mead hall (in Walstow, right?), it's so sharp and detailed.
Wonderful thread. I have seen this before but I will start now adding to it as well.
Hobbits having a good time as they know best. Singing and dancing, eating/drinking, telling stories/poems & riddles, discussing about news and last but not least, having great fun with fireworks outside later on.
[This is how the Green Dragon Inn, in the Shire looks every Friday on Laurelin server. If you (general 'you') have ever wanted to experience the Shire and meet its Little People in a different, more immersive/realistic and story driven way then pay us a visit with your Hobbit character. You would be more than welcomed!]
Ross, I have to know, what kind of graphics card/monitor do you have? Cause those screenshots look aaaaamazing!
I have a NVIDIA GeForce GT430 and Philips 222EL monitor. I almost always take the screenshots in Ultra High graphics, 8X AntiAliasing and at full resolution, 1920X1080. After that, I use Picasa to "develop" them as I saw that the screenshot I take is not exactly what I saw in the game. Of course, I try not to exaggerate as I don't like to modify the game's reality.
First of all, Nud Melek ist absolutely breathtaking as is the whole dwarven city Moria. Some hate it, I love it.
A couple of days ago I did the epic Volume 2 Book 3. You might remember that in order to complete this epic book you have to explore the eastern road in Nud Melek. So I came by and took a picture of these stone carved trees.
Stunning, right?
The last chapter of Book 3 is named 'We can't get out'. It's a sessionplay during which you live through the last stand of Balins lost expedition. I don't want to spoiler too much, but you get to see the really evil creatures of Moria. At some point you have to cross the bridge of Khazad-Dûm and the graphic atmosphere changes drastically. When you reach the other side it goes back to normal, but I had to capture this moment. Completely different, but maybe even a bit more majestic. At least to me.
