Thread: Characters Gone?

After a fun-filled morning and afternoon out in the sun irl, everyone in my group decided to crash for a nap so I went to log on to run a quick Race or two.

'Lo and behold, the moment I log into to either Elendilmir or Vilya, I am immediately taken to the Character Generation Screen as I have no characters on my Account anymore!!1!

Oh heck no! How the heck was I hacked? I'm uber-paranoid and not a single packet slips in or out of my computer without being analyzed, approved, and logged.

That's okay, I have a back-up account that I don't use on the same computer, that I use only from whatever Data Center I'm working at when pulling an All-Nighter.

What? All of those characters are gone too?

Same with my daughter's Account!!1!

The odd thing is they are all showing up fine in MyLOTRO as if they are still there.

Should I be concerned enough to go through the song-and-dance routine with Customer Support in case all of my Accounts on 3 different computers on two different Network Routes were compromised, or is there just something weird going on with the Login Server at Turbine?

NVM.

It would appear that choosing "Elendilmir" on the World Selection Screen was auto-magically logging me to in Meneldor instead. If I chose "Vilya" it was logging me in to Firefoot instead.

That was most odd and quite a scare!

Seems fine now though. *WHEW*

Remember the old "we encourage new players to create characters on ......" Now you have no choice !!! Click any server you want - you're going to Meneldor or Firefoot, like it or not

On a more serious note, earlier today I had trouble logging in. Seemed to hang forever, got an error message about an http reply and then saw a couple of timeout/retries before loading the server list. Maybe there were some problems earlier today ?
