I am 32,male and I love everything that is LOTR.I am looking for a kinship that is big on helping each other out and not being rude to each other.I am older then alot of folks on here (I think) and like to play with people that treat each other with respect.
I have a hunter and a champion so far,one is 15 and the other will be soon.I think I am going to level all characters up before I decide what to play full time.I play on the server Elendilmir and am on alot since I work from home.I would prefer to join a kinship with older members that like to chat and work with each other to level up.
My hunters name is Tracker,if you send him a tell or some mail I will get back to you as soon as I can.
Your name, or character name and race (if known): RL name is Pete, in game name still undecided atm.
Age: (some kinships have real life age limits) 32
Preferred server(s), if any. (This is not needed, just for kinship info.): Server undecided atm, but willing to start anywhere
Location. (Timezone preferences if any, state/country, etc.): NJ, USA, EST.
Playstyle. (Solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual, hardcore, end-game, RP, no RP, time limited, crafter, “I don’t know, I’m new to this kind of game”, etc.): I'm a hardcore casual and casually hardcore. I like the chance to relax and whoop' it up with some friends, take it slow and chill, but also rock out the content and get to work on the more difficult and challanging aspects of the game when needed.
I'm a Tank for life, been tanking since CoH, and currently 2+ years prot. spec Tank in WoW. I've MT'd in almost all of the older WoW content, 5, 10, 15, 20 and 40 man runs, and a few of the newer BC ones as well. I'd like to think I have a very good knowledge of basic rpg gameplay mechanics, like aggro, DPS, class balance needs, etc. I love to play with groups, and I love to tank, it's why I play these games, and since Tanking and Guilds are two great tastes that taste great together, I always seem to have a blast! Looking like a Dwarven Guardian will be my initial choice
Not big into PvP, more the PvE type, with goals of seeing all there is to see in the game. Will PvP for food, but if i'm not starving, i'll be teamed up and lost in a dungeon somewhere.
I enjoy the occasional RP element of mmorpg's, but I also enjoy the more conventional approach to socializing. With the right person/people, RP'ing can definitly add to the fun of the experience, but it's not a "need" for me personally. Unless you wanna RP about whips and chains. Then count me in :P
I'll have my sights set on end game raiding, whenever that might become an option, but I won't be rushing to get there and missing out on all of the fun along the way.
If the crafting is what I hope it to be, i'll be focusing on armor, since the guild can always benifit from a good armorer.
MMO games you’ve played: BF1942, CoH/V, WoW. Held Guild Officer posistions in BF and CoH, and led 2 Guilds in WoW.
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: I offer a mature yet fun outlook and playstyle, with a focus on the group as a whole rather than the individual. I can be silly and stupid and x rated, but also intelligent, helpful, and generous. I can read strats, be active on forums, research info, be polite in general chat, and promote the good name of the guild as I adventure.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): I'm looking for a kinship that plays in Eastern Standard Time, with events/runs/raids planned for evenings EST. Someplece that will let me be who I am, without censoring my sometimes adult humor, and yet someplace that holds itself to a higher standard...hearing "Chuck Norris Pwns Your Moms Face" in guild chat might be funny once, but after the 500th time in 30 minutes, it gets annoying, lol.
My ideal kinship will be structured, with a website, VoIP, strong leadership, and mature members. Age is no factor, as I've played with 15 year olds who have shown more maturity than 40 year olds. Loyalty to the kinship is also a determining factor for me, as I've grown tired of watching the new wave of online gamers hop guilds whenever the wind shifted a different direction. I will give all I have to better the guild as a whole, but not if it has a revolving door of members constantly leaving, lol. As always, a helpful, caring, and fun memberbase will be important, and future goals of end game raiding, while not being uber l33t nazis about it, would be a great draw for me.
In a nutshell, I'm a fun and active player who enjoys the social aspects of mmorpg's, and believes that fun can be found in all kinds of different ways, from hardcore raiding to getting drunk and running naked through the streets to finding a quiet spot and shooting the breeze.
Feel free to shoot me a link of your website, comments, questions, or scantily clad pics at longhairpete@yahoo.com or hook up with me in game if I sound like the guy for your kinship!
Rock On!

Reason: spelling, etc.
Name: Yumi (Captain) and Mokoto (Minstrel) Both lvl 15.
Age: I am 20 and my husband is 26
Server: Brandywine
Location: Arkansas - Central Time. We usually play around 7pm-11pm Central on weekdays and anytime on Saturday and Sunday.
Playstyle: We usually just duo together or grab the occasional person that is on the same quest we are on.
MMO games you’ve played: EQ, DAOC, FFXI, EQ2, WoW, Guild Wars, DDO, Beta Tested Eve and Vanguard, and a lot of Korean MMOs, lol. We get bored. We've also played America's Army, Battlefield 2142 and currently playing Counter Strike: Source.
What we are looking for in a kinship: We are looking for a small to mid size kinship that is about having fun and making friends. We don't care about loots or the "end-game". We just want to have fun, get together with some people that know what they are doing. Also, We don't mind dying over and over again in order to help someone or retrieve their corpse, oh wait, wrong game.
Your name, or character name and race (if known):
-Intrepdmind, Elf (but willing to change if desired)
Age: 23
Preferred server(s): none really; Elendilmir right now, but I'll change servers if I find the right group
Location: I'm in California, USA (PST)
Playstyle: I have played in basically every type of playstyle you could imagine. With LOTRO I will start as a casual gamer (for about 5-10 weeks so I can finish my Thesis ) and will devote a lot more time thereafter.
MMO games you’ve played: EQ, EQ2, Ragnarok Online, FFXI, SWG, Guild Wars, Lineage II, WoW, Vanguard; alpha tested some, beta tested all, played all to top tier brackets.
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?:
Most of all my devotion to my kinmates. Studying for my medical degree, I have a natural tendency to care for my kinmates more than others might, and thus typically roll healing-class characters. I put a lot of time and energy into fulfilling the needs of the kinship, whether it be to aid a lowbie complete a few quests, or in healing capacity in top tier raids. I shy from none, and step up to any challenge given. With about 10 years of MMO experience under my belt, I have the ability to slide into most groups effectively and tend to enjoy myself doing practically anything from soaking up game lore and roleplaying, to hardcore teamspeak/ventrillo driven raids. I'm definitely one of the most dependable folks to have around: if I say i'll be present for a raid, and something else comes up, I'll be present at the raid unless my house is burning down. I have both effective leadership experience and the willingness to follow others as needed. I really enjoy taking a more personal approach in getting to know my kinship, talking with them via vent/ts etc. and also engaging in a bit of conversation other than MMO stuff once in awhile!
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters):
Well organized, dependable, TIGHT KNIT kinships. I will join a large kinship if I find it to be appropriate for me, but at the same time I dont want to feel lost in the crowd. I like to see kinships that have a website that is visited and utilized frequently, or at least an interest in building one. While not necessary, if a kinship plans on doing a lot of raid activity, I like to know that most of them will join me in strategizing and executing plans over Vent/TS. I prefer kinships that don't ridicule and harrass or shun lowbie players in favor of having a completely top level kinship. Most of all, while I do stick to my main class (healing) and actively pursue growth, I like to try out other classes once in awhile, and would hope that my kinship would be tolerant of that! Potential for status growth within the guild~
Your name, or character name and race: Aeryn (elf hunter L15) , Alicia (woman captain L15), Aristotle (elf LM L12)
Age: 20
Preferred server if any: Meneldor
Location: US eastern time- NY
Playstyle: Honestly, I don't really know. I haven't played any online games since Diablo 2 and that was years ago, but so far from what I've seen, I like playing in a group but don't mind solo-ing it.
MMO games you’ve played: Diablo 2..uh, if that's even considered an MMO (lol. Yes, I'm noob to the MMO world)
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: I'm currently taking some time off school so I have a lot of time to lay away to this game, so you can be sure I'll be pretty devoted to playing. Hmm..well this is technically my first MMO in ages so I don't really have much experience which is one of the main reasons why I want join a tight knit kinship. Oh yeah, and I'm super friendly
What kind of kinship you are looking for:
-Friendly, relaxed chill group of people
-Lots of group playing, helping each other out
-A place to make some friends
-Someplace I can learn the ropes with this MMO stuff (I'm still trying to figure out some of the lingo lol)
& I think that's about it! You can msg me at any of those names listed above, this game is like crack to me so I'm on a lot. Thanks!
Preferred server(s): Any server, haven't found a "home" yet
Location: PA, US... EST (-5 GMT)
Playstyle: I like a mixture of play styles. I'm looking for a kinship that's a lot of fun to be in, mature players, and if we have a "hardcore endgame" group, I'd like to be part of it, but it's certainly not necessary.
MMO games you’ve played: I've played EQ, EQ2, and WoW.
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: I'm a mature player, I have a wife and 4 year old daughter, so my play time is only when they're not home. I spent roughly 3 years with EQ and EQ2, and I played WoW since it debuted back in 2005. I love helping out friends and explore new areas.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): Like I said previously, my primary desire in a kinship is one that's just lots of fun to play with. I work 3rd shift (10pm to 6am), so my play time is usually from 7am to 12pm, or 12pm to 5pm, usually depends on what kind of guild i'm in, my schedule is pretty flexible.
Your name, or character name and race (if known): Bill. (Haven't started a character just yet, looking for a group of people to play with before beginning on any particular server.)
Age: 17
Preferred server(s), if any: The one with the most competent kinship with the most interesting people.
Location: Texas, would prefer central or Eastern guild, but not a huge deal for me either way.
Playstyle. (Solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual, hardcore, end-game, RP, no RP, time limited, crafter, “I don’t know, I’m new to this kind of game”, etc.):I'm a very group-oriented gamer. I don't like to solo, but I'm by no means dependent on other people to help me constantly, and will do things that can be done by myself alone. I played WoW for a couple years, led raids, among other things. I'd like to think I'm a generally laid back and helpful person, and as long as the majority of people aren't completely ignorant, I won't ***** or moan.
In terms of playtimes, I play a lot, a whole lot. I like to get things done quickly and efficiently, but I also like to mess around and have fun sometimes too. And there is a place for both, so I'd prefer gamers who can differentiate the appropriate time for both.
MMO games you’ve played: Lineage, Lineage II, WoW, RO
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?:Because I'm amazing. Haha, no, because I'm helpful to other people, I participate in discussions and would like to assume I add to them. I know when to shut up, and I know when to express my opinions and concerns, and what medium to do it through. If I've got a problem I'm not going to throw a fit or *****-foot around it, I'll come straight to the guild leader/whoever I have the problem with and attempt to discuss it without causing drama or lashing out insults.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): I'm looking for no special kinship in particular. On one hand, I'd enjoy a small guild that's just beginning that I can grow to be in a tight-knit kinship and watch the guild grow and form around my decisions/help. On the other, however, I'd like to join a well-established guild for faster progression, more people to talk to, and a more fleshed out system.
Hey all-I'm never MMOed before so I'm looking for a kinship who is willing to be patient with me in the learning process. I'm a huge LOTR fan which is why I pre-ordered.
In game name: Jrom-lvl 10 dwarf guardian (however I'd like to start a few characters during beta so I'm not sure which one I'll stick with).
Age: 31
Server: My dwarf is on Gladden but other than that, I don't care.
Location: Kansas City
Playstyle: casual, mature, not too much rp but don't mind some, overall fun. I like to group but don't mind soloing. Monster play is cool once in a while.
Experience: I have rpged some but not a ton.
Kinship: I'm looking for a laid back, friendly kinship who's not going to go insane if I make a mistake once in while (which I may do since I'm new to this stuff-although I'll try not to)
Your name, or character name and race: Name's in the air, but planning either a Lore-Master or Champion of Man
Age: 25
Location: SoCal, PST prefered
Playstyle: I'm defintely a small-group gamer. I like getting 5-7 people together, lay out a plan on what to go kill/conquer, then get on with it. Bigger groups/raiding is okay, but I always feel like people get washed away in the shuffle. I hate solo-grinding because honestly, i'm not paying for multiplayer game to be by myseff.
MMO games you’ve played: Just about everything, some EQ, EQ2, DAoC, EVE, DDO, WoW, FFXI, SWG, I've always been one to check out everything that comes out.
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: Over the course of my gaming, I've filled just about every possible role a kinship would use, from banker and crafter/salesman to a main tank, healer, damage or what ever the situation may need. I know what I'm doing, when to listen, when to follow orders, and when to give them.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): Casual group, few nights a week, people to kick back and chat with during the evening.
Your name, or character name and race (if known): My name is Ryan, I have a hobbit minstrel on brandywine - lvl 9, and a man burglar on nimrodel - 11, and I started a loremaster on nimrodel as well(mins- Valaro, burg- Valrandir, lm- Valthalion)
Age: (some kinships have real life age limits): 23
Preferred server(s), if any. (This is not needed, just for kinship info.): I have some toons started on brandywine and nimrodel, but I can go anywhere, I was honestly hoping to find a roleplaying server, but it doesn't seem like Turbine thought it would be needed at this point.
Location. (Timezone preferences if any, state/country, etc.): USA, EST, I work second shift currently, 2-11pm (unless I work overtime then it's like 1, or 3 am)
Playstyle. (Solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual, hardcore, end-game, RP, no RP, time limited, crafter, “I don’t know, I’m new to this kind of game”, etc.):
Well obviously I like to play with others. I don't mind soloing, and sometimes it's preferable, but I enjoy grouping and talking while I play. I like the crafting system in this game so I'll definitely be crafting on all of my characters. I like roleplaying. I'm not a big fan of raiding, but I don't mind doing it. I like pvp a lot, but I'm not expecting much from this game.
MMO games you’ve played: I've been playing mmorpgs for a while now. Basically if it came out in North America I've played it for some amount of time.
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: I don't mind playing support classes, such as healer or crowd control. I actually find it to be fun. I can play anything, and will play whatever a guild needs the most.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): I'm looking for a kinship that has a good mix of hardcore and casual players. People who are looking to have a lot of fun while they play this game. I'm not looking for people who are only interested in leveling as fast as possible, or whose main focus is getting the best equipment in the game. I prefer a laid back, casual atmosphere. It's best if everyone has a good sense of humor, but knows when to get serious so we're not wasting anyone's time either. I prefer to put the group's needs ahead of my own when possible.
Name: Lagaroth - Dwarf - Guardian (Lvl 13 as of April 9)
Age: 17
Preferred Server: Arkenstone <== Must be on this server!
Location: Malaysia +8 GMT
Play style: Casual
Other MMO's: FFXI, Ragnarok Online
Kinship Preferences: I would like to be part of a casual Kinship, with no requirements, I do not want to feel pressured into logging on or levelling, I like to play when I feel like it, I have a life and other things to do as well! :P Kinships with characters around my level and just starting out in LOTRON would be preferred. And i love questing and hunting for ore!
I want intelligent mature company that I can be friends with! Not brats with numeric names (l3g0l4as), that go's for the kinship as well!
PM in game or leave me a message on the forums! Thanks! =D
looking to join a kinship on Windfola, got a lvl 7 captain woman Felwen and a lvl 1 loremaster Felion. All my characters will begin with Fel in case you guys have trouble finding me in game
funny, I'm a guy, but the character that will probably cap out first is Felwen, lol. :-D
let me know by PM or email
-Felion (aka Felwen, aka the Green Knight)
main MMORPG experience includes UO; EQ; DAoC; CoH/V; AA; DDO; WoW; Beta-tested many of those. Experienced in groups, endgame, some PvP.
Currently playing: lvl 15 minstrel-scholar; 8 captain-tinker; 6 loremaster-explorer; unsure which will be the main once open game starts though likely minstrel.
I offer: Dedicated, intend to craft, and will show up for guild events when able. I do not "guild hop", greif, beg for money/favors, whine, and generally avoid drama. I do aid guildmates, offer crafting services free or for mats if I dont have them, and prefer to group with guildies.
I am looking for: Serious players, though not hardcore. RL has to come first, but do not want a guild that has players make token appearances once a month. That being said, if you insist that all of your players log 5 hours per day every day; you're a bit too hardcore for me A guild with helpful people who are commited to their members and to enjoying the game is perfect! Basically; if your guildname is relatively fantasy-appropriate <or at least amusing> your members are helpful and enjoyable to group with I'd love to become a part of it. If your guildname is similar to "DoOdZ of RoxxoR" and you are composed of mainly 12 year olds on powertrips; thanks and gl to ya!
Bynot (May play with a different name: no ingame characters yet)
Age: Over 25
Preferred server: None, don't have a character yet:
Location: CST - USA - Usually evenings and some weekends
Playstyle: Prefer to group up. If the Kinship has consistant groups in my level I'd even primary as a healer. Love PvP.
Why kinships should be interested in you: Im a great guy who play maturely and loves to play on a good team. Open to any class or role, just like to group adventure of MMOs
MMOs Played: LOTRO A2-B4, EQ2, WoW
What kind of kinship you are looking for: Fairly mature players, but doesn't need to be an adults only guild. MUST HAVE A VOIP SERVER WITH PEOPLE ON IT!!. Also looking for a guild that likes to play togother most of the time. I feel if you want to mainly solo buy a single player RPG.
Your name, or character name and race (if known):
Character name is Rivan, race is human, and I am a burgler
Age: (some kinships have real life age limits)
RL age is 21
Preferred server(s), if any. (This is not needed, just for kinship info.):
No real preferred server.
Location. (Timezone preferences if any, state/country, etc.):
Eastern timezone
Playstyle. (Solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual, hardcore, end-game, RP, no RP, time limited, crafter, “I don’t know, I’m new to this kind of game”, etc.):
I enjoy working solo and in groups. Not a big fan of RP however I don't have a hatred or anything for it. So far I have been enjoying alot of crafting. Other than that I am relatively new to MMO's and really don't know.
MMO games you’ve played:
As I said I am relatively new to MMO's. I have played a few trials but nothing of this style before. I have played many MUD's over the years and am well versed in RPG's, however the whole graphics thing is still a bit new to me.
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?:
I am a very friendly person and get along with basically everyone. I am always up for some group activities or for helping someone else. I am by no means hardcore but I do have time to play and will play regularly.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters):
I am basically looking for a kinship that is mainly like a family. A group that is very close knit and gets along well. Actually doing raids and large group activities are not as important as just some general help every now and again. This by no means I am looking for a group that is devoid of activity and just hangs out all the time.
Kinship seeking: Select * where 1337 d00dz = 0. I plan to play an hour or so every other day, a couple hours on weekends, ideally with folks more interested in game goals (quests, advancing craft skills, et. al.) than arguing over 'ph@t lewts'. Don't really want to grind, if I can avoid it.
Your name, or character name and race (if known):Ben, character name is Jenbu or some form of it.
Age: I am 16, turning 17 this year.
Preferred server(s), if any. (This is not needed, just for kinship info.): I will make a character on your server, but i have a Elf Guardian on Vilya
Location. (Timezone preferences if any, state/country, etc.):Texas
Playstyle. (Solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual, hardcore, end-game, RP, no RP, time limited, crafter, “I don’t know, I’m new to this kind of game”, etc.): I dont mind RP, i can. I can solo and i love to group, raid, PvP and im pretty casual.
MMO games you’ve played:WoW, Guild Wars, Anarchy, Everquest 2, Matrix Online. (i dont play them anymore)
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?:I'm a mature player, i don't talk in 1337 5p3ak. I plan on playing a bit of everything, and im very dedicated and an easy going guy. I like to have fun, helping others and follows directions in groups.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): Im looking for a mature kinship that is looking to do a bit of everything, but not hardcore, you have to be on 12 hours a day, fellowship. It would also be nice if you had a voice chat program such as ventrilo or Teamspeak, or i can provide a ventrilo server for a small fellowship (less than 20), but it's not necessary.
I'm just trying to find a nice balanced kinship where I can meet new people and find a way to break out of my shell as I'm not much of a social person. Not too experienced in groups, so it'd be nice to change that about myself because yes, its a very hard shell to crack. Lvling to me is an important aspect because I have never once been to the end-game of an MMO. I'm usually on 10 PM tp 3 AM PST, although its not always a set schedule.
Age: 21
Character: Elveren, Captain of Gondor
Location: Washington State
Playstyle: Balanced
I've played about 10 MMOs, starting with EQ, so its amazing that I'm just now trying to get into the social thing of things, lol. The OP gave good advice and I think it is important to put down why one would like me in their kinship. I'm generally kind to all people, not for any gain, but because it is who I am. I'm also a person that will sacrifice himself to save the group. It's a habit developed from being a Warrior in every MMO I've played. Though I like the Captain the best in this (in the process of restarting him to change his look), so its nice to have a change of pace for once. Getting a kinship would be nice for one more reason. I've never been on a raid before, its somethig I have to experience.
Anyway, I'm running out of time so I'll say GL to all the kinships and GL in game.
Location: USA, preferably east coast, but I'm a college student so I can be on almost whenever lol
Playstyle: I only have experience with soloing and fellowship stuff in this game, but I'm up for anything. I think I might like PvP
MMO games you’ve played: SWG for two years i think? It's hard to keep track of the time lol
What do you offer kinships?: Well I'd like to think that I am a relatively mature player who is devoted to playing, having a good time and enjoying this game with other people. Plus I'm not one of those 13 year old 1337 kids
What kind of kinship you are looking for: Honestly, I am not too sure. I'm thinking a relatively well established, not-too-hardcore, mature kinship that is relatively interested in PvP, but as I said, I'm up for anything, so most of that is negotiable...except for the mature part. That is a must.
Your name, or character name and race (if known): Ryan (my name), Aureles, Elf
Age: 22
Preferred server(s), if any. (This is not needed, just for kinship info.): Silverlode
Location. (Timezone preferences if any, state/country, etc.): CST, US
Playstyle. (Solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual, hardcore, end-game, RP, no RP, time limited, crafter, “I don’t know, I’m new to this kind of game”, etc.): a mix of playstyles, but I lean toward grouping
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: I am group oriented and do not hesitate to help others.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): One that has a large, active playerbase.
I have been playing MMORPGs since Gemstone III in the early 90s. In the last few years, I have been busy with EQ2 and WoW. In that time, I was a guildleader and officer of a hardcore raiding guild.
Now that I am married, I dont have time for a hardcore raid guild and I have no interest in being a leader/officer. I am now looking for a family guild that is laid back, but is still determined on achieving all the goals in LOTR.
I have no preference on server, although playing with people in the Eastern/Central Timezones would be nice.
Your guild must have a real website (not a guildportal one), a dedicated leader, mature members, and a vision for the guild. Teamspeak/vent a plus.
Your name, or character name and race: Weichelt (Men)
Age: 24
Location: WI, USA
Playstyle: Casual - probably average 1hr per day on weekdays and 3+hrs on weekends
MMO games you’ve played: FFXI, LOTRO December '06 Beta
Why kinships should be interested in you: In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships? I've always been huge into teamwork. Played sports all through my life and continue to do so. Lead many teams to championships (leagues, intramurals, etc.)
Education - Earned my B.A. in Criminal Justice and another in Psychology with a minor in Military Leadership. Starting police academy in Fall '07. I enjoy helping others, which was actually one of the most enjoyable aspects of playing FFXI for me. That was my first MMO and did not know what they were or that they even existed until that point....not that I'm an expert now.
LOTR - like everyone else here I'm a huge fan. It pains me to say that I saw the movies first, then became interested, but nevertheless I loved the movies and moved on to reading the books. The hobbit is my favorite thus far, but I haven't yet finished the Silmarillion. Own the trivial pursuit, battle for middle earth I and II, LOTR (all 3) for gamecube, The third age for xbox, and I think thats about it. And again I've played the december '06 beta (unfortunately falling on finals week so I didn't get nearly as many hours in as I had hoped). Level 12 hunter, Level 13 Lore-master (both Elf).
What kind of kinship you are looking for: I'm looking for a kinship that has a mature member base, a few jokers every now and again is ok, but there is no need for childish behavior or arguing/fighting. It should be thought of as a team....a group of individuals who've come together for common goals. First of which is to have fun and explore the vast world of Tolkien's Middle Earth!
Location. : Northern Va. playtimes EDT-MDT (I play as late as 2am EDT)
Playstyle. : I'd like to find a consistent group for myself, and my wife and myself when she joins me
MMO games you’ve played: EQ, DAoC, WoW, EvE beta, AO, UO, DDO beta, think a couple I've forgotten
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: Mature, smart, capable of handling which ever roll the class I play needs to perform. Was a Warrior in EQ, tank/puller mainly, and was a very good group leader running thru dungeons or pulling to the group in places such as Lower Guk. Try to use these principals in WoW, but as many know, most in WoW have no clue how to group correctly Also, I am most interested in honesty and integrity. I am a Christian, and back in Diablo, joined a clan to avoid all the grievers, which eventually carried over into EQ as a guild called the Mist Riders. I was the leader at that time, and my main focus was always to offer others a home when honesty and integrity were the foundation, over raiding or other such things. So that is something I seek, beyond things like being a socially friendly group, being mature players (I tend to work better with older, or at the least, mature, gamers), who understand that you pick a guild/kinship to be dedicated to it, and help it grow and mature and become stronger. You help your fellows, you trade goods between each other at a discount which helps your group as a whole, you give advice, council, help, etc. because you care about the others in your guild/kinship. By working together, you strengthen then whole and create a feeling of family and acceptance of members of varying skills and abilities.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. : not an all out raiding guild. Somewhat social, family oriented, adventurers maybe you would call it. I like to experience the game the first time thru an area, not just rush by everything. I like to find others who want to/can run quests together and get to know each other. If I do play LOTRO, which is seeming likely, my wife will also be playing with me, though much less than myself. So a guild with other married couples would be a plus, so there will be others with similar issues such as kids, who will be understanding, plus, well, she doesn't play much, and having some other women to chat with when she does play would be a big plus. I'll probably be into the Monster battle stuff, not sure yet what else is in the end game, and I do play almost nightly 3 to 5 hours. As stated previously, players who are not interesting in grieving others, are interested in honorable play and dealings with others, are the type of people we would like to associate with.
Myself, I've run a few guilds, most notably the Mist Riders on Mithaniel Marr in EQ for 3 years or so. Eventually moved on to DAoC, but began to tire of trying to run things, especially with babies turning into toddlers, and just too many distractions. So I understand many of the issues getting guilds going and keeping them going. the one thing I will be is a steady member. I do not fly off the handle accussing others with no reason, I'm more likely to understand a misunderstanding and forgive another than to call them a lier and create turmoil.
So, hope to hear from some good people, and take this opportunity during beta to meet you on the server(s) you are on and maybe some of your members can explain more of the intricacies of this game
Rogueone
aka Olosnah, Corran, Aylanee, and others making up names is always an adventure for me haha
Your name, or character name and race (if known): Nourthpaul - Human Champion; Sonnyomara - Dwarf Guardian
Age: 27
Preferred server(s), if any: I'm currently on Gladden, but would be willing to start fresh on another server.
Location: U.S., west coast, PST. During the week my free time is usually from morning to afternoon and late evening, so that's when I'd be around the most. Weekends are my busiest times so I am usually only around during evenings. I am mostly up until around 12 or 12:30 am PST.
Playstyle: I tend to lean toward solo/duo play as most PvP I've encountered doesn't really interest me. I do like to get in groups for XP or quests or any other party-oriented activities there might be besides PvP.
MMO games you’ve played: In addition to LotR, I'm currently playing WoW, FFXI, Tales of Pirates, Scions of Fate, Corum Online, Silkroad, Rose and Maple Story. I've also played many other MMOs including RO, Goonzu, Flyff and Hero.
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: With the majority of my online gaming time, I'm usually playing WoW (I'll play LotR more often once I upgrade my CPU a bit). I'm in a GREAT guild there and am always willing to help out where and when I can. I'm mature and great to get along with. Even though, like a lot of people, I'm still brand new to the game, I will always try my best to do my part and help fellow Kinship mates.
What kind of kinship you are looking for: Friendly, mature and helpful, but at the same time has a sense of humor and can laugh/joke about things. One of the things that I just can NOT stand are guilds/groups/linkshells that take everything WAY too seriously and make every minute of their lives about the game and ONLY the game. As I mentioned, I'm not one for PvP, but am game for any other kinds of kinship activities that happen. I just want to have fun with the game and my kinship, help out where I can and not feel pressured to "be at suchandsuchaplace on this day at this time."

As for RP i can go eather way. i have been in RP only guild and no RP guild.

MMO games you’ve played:EQ for 4, EQ2 for a year, WoW, Guild wars, SRO, and a bunch of other MMORPG. I have been the leader of many guild, I still have my last guilds web page if any guild needs one. I ran the web page and the forms.
((ooc)) I am seeking a kinship upon the fire server. i am interested in one with a lean toward the medium to excessively hardcore RP style (at least within kinship channels). I bring with me many years of online gaming experience as well as leadership in a few guilds of different worlds i have been in. The list of games i have been in is far to long to place here but lets just say.. if its been created.. i've more then likely played it.. MMO as well as other online and mud type games ((ex. Second life .. LoRD))
I tend to hunt solo but do not mind a good group outting once in a while and am a very hardcore RP'r personally although a break now and then is obviously required so that things that might be misunderstood can be cleared up.. i am also quite effecient in the Tolkien language "Quenya" .. which i have taken the past 9 years to study and continue to do so as new documents are uncovered and new words associated with different things.
If you are upon the fire server and mayhaps i might feel welcome within your kinship.. i seek you please send me a message in world or here in the forums
Thank you!

Why kinships should be interested in you: I like to have a fun time and am not to shabby a player.
What kind of kinship you are looking for: Fun and light kinships that care more about enjoying the game and each other's company rather than uber loot and l33t status. It would be nice if the kinship organizes events and raids.

Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. Why kinships should be interested in you.
I've been playing online rpg's since 2001 or so. I have extensive experience in playing just about every class. I have also led raids, and was an officer in a couple of the guilds I was in. I am definitely experienced in both the realms of dealing dps and playing a healer. I was playing roughly four hours a day in world of warcraft, in the realm of raiding and pve. Will prob be playing mostly from 6-midnight weekdays and varies on weekends.
I'm interested in a kinship which would be female friendly, group friendly, light or no role play, raids, groups, and is definitely mature. I'm not interested in a guild that is full of immature players, or is so focused on "winning the raid" it has a militaristic and caustic leadership. For example I dont like it when people openly yell at others during raids, this is not fun in my opinion. Definitely looking for a group of easy going, fun loving people.
Your name, or character name and race : Willing to play any race any class. Currently Tiniwen (Elf Hunter on Arkenstone)
Age: 31

Why kinships should be interested in you.
I play generally 2-3 hours on weeknights and more on weekends. Currently scoping out website options if a kinship needs a fast webpage setup. Ideally would like to work up to officer status. I am not looking for raid craziness, i had my fill of that in FFXI. I would like to casually level with some new friends and help each other over hurdles. EDIT:: I have played in very RP heavy guilds before and enjoy it.

Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: I am a fun loving person. I pretty much am easy going and like grouping. I do some lite RP'ing, but it's not a necessity.

Kinship type wanted: mature players that aren't "Elite" oriented but want to have a fun environment with focus on having a "fun" gameplay experience when they log in. Friendly Kinship that has rules and organization.
About myself: 43 years old. Veteran gamer. Worked for Infocom back in "the day" writing in basic for the old text based adventures that seirra eventually capitalized on. Have beta tested over 100 games. Used to be webmaster and owner of the old beta testing site "Online Beta Tester Guild" (was known then as Boolean).
I am a veteran of W-W and am leaving it after 3 years of dedicated play and being guild master of the largest guild on my server there for two years.
Looking forward to being in a group here that is willing to have fun and not take gaming to seriously, but login to Lord of the Rings Online to have a fun gaming experience every few hours each night.
Thanks for any replies. Please feel free to send me a forum IM if you are interested in a gamer of my type for your Kinship.
I must add that I am not willing to be a Kinship leader in this game due to the time involved keeping so many players together and just want to blend in and be a part of a good community this time around.
