Hi I am currently a level 42 champ (race of man) I play on crickhollow, my champs name is Buromier, I live in NY so my time zone is EST. I am looking for a good kinship with mature ppl. To help out w fellowship quests, instances, and get into some raids. Im currently building up my champs virtues (some are at 10) and doing the epic quests but want to experience all of middle earth. I like to help others as well, I usually play around 10-20 hrs a week so I would like an active kinship with various levels. I enjoy working with others and think the game is more fun when you are playing with others. I have no problems working in a group. As a RK it doesnt matter to me if im healing or dps. I kind of enjoy the healing aspects. I have no problems helping others with quests or tasks, even if there is no benefit to me. I have been helped in game by a lot of people and I feel I should pass on the good will. I am an experienced player but I can always learn more. I havent done much in Enttemoors but I would like to. I do have vent and can do voice chat if needed.

What kind of Kinship am I looking for? An active one. I would like to join a group that has players on regularly and is open to all kinds of play. I would hope for a Kin that takes the game seriously but is also light hearted. Members that are willing to help others is always a plus. What do you offer kinships?: I'm a very experienced MMO player who has experienced top tier raiding in every MMO I've played (except Rift and Aion, I hated them). That being said, I kinda wanna get away from the competitiveness that is WoW raiding. The entire "leetness" issue in so many games I've played is starting to burn me out. I'm looking for a fresh start in a new game with content I haven't seen in years.

What kind of kinship you are looking for: One thing a guild I used to be in for another game had a "old school adventure group" team. Six people rolled new character of different classes and agreed to be online at the same time to play those characters through dungeons and content. That would be something I could get into if any guilds are doing that now. Other than that, I'm just looking for a guild with no drama and mature players to teach me the ropes and to try my hand at raiding in LOTRO.

I used to be really into raiding, but took a long break from the game (about 6 months) after F2P launched due to lack of content. When I returned, my kin had all migrated to Rift. However, I still enjoy LOTRO and want to stay here. I used to play every day, but now usually only play on the weekends between 10AM-8PM EST. I haven't been able to find a lot of groups for things because groups are usually just starting to form up when I'm logging off.

It's very important to me that the people I play with pay attention and try to improve their characters and learn from their mistakes. I'm looking for people who are comfortable playing their classes and able to adapt to changing situations.

My husband also plays, and he has multiple level-capped characters as well. Besides my playtimes, he also plays late-night EST.

I started out in Ultima Online many years ago. I have regularly played Earth and Beyond (RIP), Jumpgate, Star Wars Galaxies, Planetside, Everquest II, Eve Online, and World of Warcraft; I have tried a few others on a trial basis but none of them have really captured my attention like LOTRO has. I am now a VIP subscriber to LOTRO.

Why kinships should be interested in you:

I am a mature person and GLBT-friendly. I play daily, mostly between 10:30PM and 6:00AM, sometimes earlier or later; I am on at other times throughout the day as my work/school schedule permits. I enjoy helping others with quests or crafting needs; I don't mind sharing resources as I am able to do so. If you need a crafted item and supply the materials, I don't expect any payment other than professional courtesy should I require an item that can be crafted by yourself or an alt. I believe in paying it forward with new players since we were all newbies at one time or another (I still am when it comes to LOTRO). I am not opposed to answering questions if I am able to do so, nor will I respond to one in a sarcastic manner, regardless of its complexity or lack thereof.

What kind of kinship you are looking for:

I expect the same maturity and characteristics of all kinship members as I outlined in the question above. I would like to participate in RP and world RP events, though I do not think I am ready for a full-on RP kinship. Since my play hours are outside of the typical 9-to-5 working player, an English-speaking European or Australian kinship may be a better fit for my participation in organized kinship events; LOTRO, however, remains a "game" for me and not a full-time job! Hey all, longtime WoW endgame player looking to get into LOTRO. My non-MMO commitment have gotten too big that the cost of WoW just isn't worth it, especially when an excellent free alternative is right there.

So, I don't have a lot of time to play, and the time I have is 100% on weekday afternoons. I will be a slow leveler, but eventually I'd like to get into endgame content (do you call it raiding in lotro?)

So, any active daytime guilds looking to add a casual player with endgame aspirations?

I also was my guild's raid leader before I left WoW.

(This one is very important for recruiters): Looking for a guild with high competence, friendliness, helpfulness, loyalty, maturity, laid back, good sense of humor, organization, end-game capability, and leadership (rules, fair loot distribution, and I'm OK with some amount of favoritism for the hardcore people that are always there when you need them and make consistency possible). I'd like little to no drama, selfishness, uptightness, bossiness (some bossiness is needed sometimes for some people and I'm OK with that...but, there is usually a better way to "ask" to get something done how you want it), etc.


If you are not doing current end game content, then I'm not interested. If you are not willing to help me get to current end game content, then I'm not interested.

A little more of what I'm looking for below...

I'm new to LotRO and looking for suggestions for a good server and guild to join.

I am coming from WoW after a lengthy time off. I'd prefer/request most of the following...

-average-slightly high population server

-more freeps than creeps...or at least fairly even (I played alliance on a server that was 80%horde...that wasn't very fun for me)

-I'm not particularly interested in roleplay

-I like to raid, so I would like a guild that knows what it's doing/can beat end-game content (my guild on WoW had an issue with rarely having enough people showing up, let alone geared enough people show up for raids...I missed out on a lot of progression)

-I'd like a guild that has capable/knowledgeable players that are willing to teach newer players how best to min/max a particular class for a particular purpose (this kind of ties in to the previous point...I want to be the best eventually of course, but it would be awesome to have a guild full of people who are all striving towards that goal and are willing to help others who want the help)

-I'd like either a large guild or an extremely dedicated guild so we always have enough people to raid with (good organization/scheduling, fair loot distribution, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable)

-this isn't a super important want, but...it would be nice to have people in guild who have mastered their professions (jeweler, blacksmith, tailor, etc.) who can help gear you up for cheap

-nice enough people to help you level when they aren't doing anything important (I don't necessarily mean giving runs...although that's a plus...I mean like killing a final boss from a big questline or something that would be a big help to you...I guess I just mean helpful and friendly in general, not a go way out of your way to help...just somewhat out of your way if it isn't a huge inconvenience)

Whenever someone needs a hand or asks (mostly just strangers around me) I give them a hand. I play straight for fun and am genuinely interested in other people playing the game and ensuring they are getting the most of out their experience as well.

MMO games you’ve played: I started to play Wow right after beta and quitted 1,5 years ago. I tried LOTRO before and thought I was a nice game as well, but to start another MMO and pay for two games seemed a bit much. After all those years I got bored with Wow but not bored with MMOs. I started to play Aion, because friends of mine played it. Very beautiful game, nice gameplay! Because I didn’t have time to play every day it felt it was a bit of a waste to play a game and pay for it each month. When LOTRO became F2P I was thrilled, because now I can play a nice game without paying too much if I have little time. In a few months I got more time to play, until then I can see if this game fits me and go VIP later on.

What do you offer kinships?: I always strive to learn my role well and willing to learn everything to learn in the game. I am looking for mature players who aren't super competitive or greedy, and are willing to teach me how to play my role effectively and efficiently, while helping provide the appropriate tools (e.g. weapons & armor). On uk server I used to do Great Barrow runs for lower levels (fastest time was 15min, both parts, thats pre instance/skirmish mods) Massively active crafter, maxed in all areas across all my alts, basically I can craft anything. I have done plenty of raids and dont mind passing on special kit someone is particularly after. Good knowledge on all the bassics like aggro, pulling, main tank, off tank, etc.

What kind of kinship you are looking for. Mature and active kinship, willing to take me and my son on, which you wont regret. Were not to heavy on the RP aspect more interested in the actual game itself. A functional website would be advantage with a roster for raiding or item gathering. Why kinships should be interested in you: I am a seasoned MMO veteran with around seven years under my belt. Although I've mostly played healers in the past, I'm looking for a completely fresh start. I've not done too much with a Warden (or a tank in general) in the past, but I am a quick learner, and have wanted to become a tank for a long time (if only to know what tanks have to put up with, hehe). When I make an alt (it's always an inevibility for me ), it will most likely be a Minstrel. I am a fairly skilled healer in both the PvE and PvP departments. Aside from mechanical skills in-game, I am a long-time Tolkien fangirl and writer. I love to RP and have done so in nearly every MMO I've played. I'm used to playing a more evil character (I have played and written of a Drow from DnD and a Chaos woman from the Warhammer IP in general most extensively), and as such, I feel that the general good nature of the Free Peoples will be a nice challenge and reprieve from the doom and gloom I have been used to over the years.

As far as personalities go, I am a very relaxed individual. I do my absolute best to avoid drama, and I most definitely keep it out of kin-chat. I can be a bit of a chatterbox sometimes, but am fairly quiet unless spoken to. I adapt to my environment very well, and tend to talk or not depending on if a conversation is going on around me. I am more reactive in conversations and RP than proactive.

Why kinships should be interested in you. : I play most days to unwind after work so I tend to be on fairly consistently in the evening. I'm older and pretty mature. I'm pretty helpful - I don't mind taking time out from what I am doing to help other folk with their quests etc. I want to do more instances especially GA, GB, Fornost and Annuminas ones on both my characters. The only time I won't join an instance is if I know I need to go offline soon and would be deserting the team. I don't like letting people down - even if it is only a game. I'm fairly taciturn so I won't clog up the chat channel with drivel and inane ramblings

What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): one that is online when I tend to be (1900-2200 GMT). One that does instances at my sort of level. Not much point being in a kinship that is all lvl65 raiders and PVMP while I'm struggling through the lower levels. At some point I'm going to start crafting which I have largely ignored up to now so a kinship that will help me with that would be good too. Most important thing for me tho is being able to find a bunch of players to do all those troublesome fellowship quests with as I get so frustrated running around areas with no-one in sight to team up with.

Location.India, GMT+5.30. I am working as well in weekdays. Usually the server night time raids fall on my mornings. But I can wake up and raid. Not a problem. If we need to raid daily; then it will be difficult to stay past 12AM server time all days. If only one or two raids fall on weekdays that needs me after 12AM; then I can manage work (by opting for WFH or going late for office and compensate by staying late. No big deal)
