I politely but strongly disagree with you. A single Saturday evening? No way. No way you're getting to rank 3 in one simple evening. Not without a very strong raid going on for hours and hours.
Get that greenie into a group that knows how to kill and it's very possible.

You can get rank 3 in an evening on Brandywine. We watched several greeinies improve to rank 2-3 blue rings in a few hours last night. Especially atfer the rank nerf it's extremely easy to rank now.

I got to rank 3 (war leader) on Valentines day on a small server with group (not raid, group) on group fights for 1.5 hours.
True story.
And I got a KB on Vindictivesoul (if you're reading this lol no star farming for you!)

Rolled a warg while being banned on Elendilmir, rank 5 in one night... hahahahahahaha. Too easy son. Had no dp though.

I know this is an old quote, but I got a friend whom I duo'd with for a week to r7. (creepside)
It's not hard out there, I got r5 on my LM in one evening even with the outnumber buff all night practically.
You get more Renown when you solo than when you group up. Make grouping and solo play get the same amount of Renown and you'll suddenly find big raids on Freep side instead of everyone wanting to solo and on different targets w/o direction getting demolished. Creeps much more organized. Creeps camp GV for hours on Firefoot...Freeps sadly outnumbered here as well. Give Freeps incentive to group with + or = renown and you'll suddenly find more people grouping and a more balanced Moors.
They also need to revamp the reward system in the Moors similar to what they did with skirmishes. The reward system for skirms should be applied to the Moors...give Freeps a reason to come out and they will. Also, give the non lvl 65s a chance at the Moors. Give them a chance to lvl their Freep toons at the Moors. Suddenly you'll find less powerful Freeps but a great amount of them - maybe raids of them...more Freeps vs the more powerful Creeps could also improve the popularity of the Moors and its balance.
Imagine being able to at lvl 40 rank your toon in the Moors but having to raid to do it. Suddenly your small kin officers wont moan and ***** about running ppl through GA/GB/Fornost - just take them to the Moors to lvl their weak asses and get some freaking renown while you are helping them. Give people gear in the PvE environment but give them bonus XP in the Moors. Trying to be creative here as to solutions instead of crying and moaning like frustrated little freep girls. Would like to see more creative solutions on this thread instead of "I'm gonna quit until they do something" attitude. Take this thread in another direction.

While your kinda right "baby" creeps are not very effective, I dont think you understood his point
I believe what he was saying is most creeps have multiple creeps as in, that rank 10 Warg also has a rank 5 Reaver, a rank 4 WL, and a rank 6 Spider any of which he can switch to to help the raid, I don't creep nearly as much as freep and even I have Sig everything(minus Defiler) with Warg and Reaver x 2
As far as ranking its not nearly as tough as you've made it out to be rank 3 in a week with a strong raid?More like in a Saturday evening with 2 friends its only what 2.7k?
I'm not even getting into when creeps "become equal to freeps" as there are just to many variables of class y vs class z but once again I think your making it out to be alot worse than it actually is, the "balance" of things isn't that far off with a few notable exceptions
I wish I could meet your friends that get 3 ranks in one evening so I could get some tips. A week before the Axes & Dwarves event, I made a Reaver on Landroval and it just recently hit rank 3. Not sure how many hours consists of an evening but the pvp would have to be extremely active. The highest infamy I got in one day on my Reaver was probably 250-300 and that was after 5 hours. I'm glad it is possible to get 2700inf in an evening but I'm not sure which server that would be on and at what times. I've heard the balancing point for Creeps is Rank 6 but considering how long it took me to get Rank 3, I don't think I'll see Rank 6 by Fall.

You for real? 2700 infamy in one evening is easily attainable on any server. I recently took a reaver from rank 0 to rank 7 in 10 days on Firefoot, one of the lowest populated servers. I'm not saying that if you can't rank up fast you're doing something wrong - that's not the case. Different people have different play styles and that's ok. Simply stating that it is quite easy to do if you understand the class you're class playing, as well understand those you fight.
Yeah I've just been winging it running in and trying to take down lower hp targets. I don't really understand Reaver at all but I'll eventually figure out by trial and error how to get good infamy.

Infamy is not hard to come by at all anymore, were you playing off prime time or is that your first creep maybe? Were you alone on that baby Reaver?
If you ever roll on Gladden Freep or Creep hit me up I'll be glad to help ya out
Way back in the day i remember when you used to get 2-3 infamy per kill on average in raid and it was actually fun, back then people saw a Rank 7 and were like OMG no way and we thought Rank 9 was the end of the world. Now its more like 20ish per kill in raid and rank 7 can take a week or two and everyone and their sister is > Rank 9

If they don't see signifigant changes to freep side in the next patch/update? I know it's been crossing my mind everytime I'm out there these days. Freep side seems like a pointless endeavor. There's no reward (other thank rank), creeps (on my server) constantly outnumber the freeps (a lot of times by 2x), GV will be camped for hours at a time on an almost daily basis, if a keep gets taken, it's almost immediately flipped back to creep. It seems like a lot of people in the game are having a difficult time drudging up something to do for end game content, so they're looking to creep side for new content. As a dedicated freep player, I really don't _want_ to play creep side. Right now, especially, it's basically god mode (with the numbers).
Really considering giving WoW a shot...
Honestly right now the only thing keeping me in the game is my friends i have made over the years.
I have been levelling an alt and i admire honestly the artistic value in the soa much more than anything post moria.
If they dont get better pvp , dunno what i would do but i may go get another hobby and see where the game goes. i love pvmp and i think as many of us hard core players do, we are passionate about our game. i feel that they should consider us as part of the paying customers and look a tiny bit at making it more enjoyable.
after 2 years of no change it is like sticking everyone in a closet and expecting them to get along.
I feel they should give us a little attention for one reason, many of the casual pve'rs come and go , some stay ... although one thing is for sure if our friends see us play and something came out thats exciting we'll tell our friends how great it is , but when there is no change.. whats to tell?
I just feel its sad that the only change i have seen in the past year and a half was a tiny little tree behind south out post. i dont know why that was done? slap in the face maybe? yet i'm pretty sure it wasnt there. i dont want trees, i dont want more dark tide scrappers, i dont want another flag i gotta flip.
Tolkien is known for his story line, give us a battle with a story line, something we can work off of and best yet feed your hampsters! they are underfed, overworked and frankly i think they need to drink water out of the mohawk river next to the ge plant.
2 years of no change= boredom= drama= nothing to call home for.
Can i say i'll stay ? At this point in time i dunno.

I might not quit right now but definantly in the future... Why would i continue playing a game where pvp just plain sucks. Swtor, Guild wars 2, Tera, The secret world, War40k(dark millenium), Rift, final fantasy XIV with all the upcomming mmo's its gonna be a tough market for turbine. Why would i stay and play a game that pvp is totally epic fail and boring? I really dont understand why they would let something that is SO VERY IMPORTANT in any mmo as a majority of players look forward to pvp in every game they play just let it stink. And with F2P launching it will get more players but a majority of those will find out pvp sucks and leave the game.

Motif: Typos
Seriously, this once proud game has gone to hell in a bucket. F2P (which reeks of desperation) bout sums it up for me... the nail in the coffin.
The PvP is sub-par at best and has only gotten worse.
Glad I have 15$/month to piss away to pass the time while I patiently wait for another game. Seriously, the only reason Turbine still gets my cash is there is nothing out right now that I am willing to waste even more money on.
Both sides have their strengths and weaknesses but we all seem to focus against one side while refusing to believe anything complained about by the other. It's all numbers and ranks (for creeps). So many seem to come to their conclusions without considering ranks of creeps, the damage output of freeps and the trouble being outnumbered can cause. If a mini hits me for 6k damage in a just a few seconds well then they got lucky with their crits and if a freep dies its because creeps are op. We waste all this time on forums trying to influence others with our one-sided opinions instead of trying to deal fairly with the trials and tribulations of both sides.
Ancient spider of the moors (5 years and counting). I miss Nidor....

its just that its stale. For many of us it was exciting 3 years ago, while many of us love our class and the pvmp itself, there is no change to an area , for freeps no advancements..
with that said it = a lot of drama and bored ppl that just want a good fight. We don't build our toons like the pve people. Our toons are built so that we can play to our fullest in an uncertain area.
It is not scripted like an instance.
I think though if the devs just played pvp for 3 months they would see what we were talking about.
