Inspired Greatness
While some people have criticized inspired greatness I just wanted to let Turbine know I think it's a great idea. It's very hard to find groups for a lot of these quests and some people's computers lag too much to group.
Hope to see this in other areas."Do not meddle in the affairs of wizards, for they are subtle, and quick to anger!"

Re: Inspired Greatness
i agree it is great... but do give the option to NOT use it.
i have a buddy who is on his third or fourth character and is playign a warden. he was looking forward to soloing all these, with no greatness buff, and now he cant. i kinda feel for him and can understand his position.
but for me, doing it my first time, having no breaks in the quests, forming groups, was awesome for the immersion. Also, i read VERY slowly, and i never have time to read the quests when im in a group. for this reason i HATE story-based group content. i end up missing it all

Re: Inspired Greatness
I don't think it should kick in automatically, especially if some of the fellowship members are very high level. Sometimes when I bring in a high level to help with a quest it is to help with adds and such. I really don't need to be made the uber god character with 12K morale when doing a quest with a lower level player. Each player should have the option of using it or not.
Also, why only for book quests? I would love to have an inspired greatness option for Dol Dinen. Might actually do that one on another character. As it is, once was enough, as the mobs there are insane in both morale and respawn rate...Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy

Re: Inspired Greatness
I thought you have to "use" the little inspired greatness rock to get the benefits, its not automatic... at least thats the way it was during 1.4.5(?) in the trollshaws where you go to the 3 caves and use the light to try and light up the cave...

Re: Inspired Greatness
From what I've experienced so far while leveling my little lowbie captain, if you enter an instance you get Inspired Greatness automatically. If it's a fellowship quest out in the world (ex: Freeing Dori, Where is the Horse and Rider?) you're given a rock that you click at the appropriate location and have 15 minutes to get the job done. Just don't click on the rock if you feel like suiciding -- er, challenging yourself

Re: Inspired Greatness
who needs inspired greatness when you are already great being the hero and all...you should be the one inspiring people...i had no trouble except the last instance duoing all of volume 1 at 60 without any inspired buff.
On another note i can live with it being on volume 1 but if ever gets to any instanced fellow quest the game will become too solo oriented besides the fact they are making everything solo without IG. And now people still need help, my philosophy is make things hard the players will persevere if they want to play and be good player. Make things easy players will blow through it and not know what the hell to do in a fellow after doing everything solo. basically the harder things are the more people need to adapt, think, learn what to do in certain situations. The Easier you repeat the same routine that proves most effective and very rare cases occur that require a deviation from that routine.

Re: Inspired Greatness
LOL, definitely. But when fighting greyed out dourhands that are about 30 levels below you and your morale seems to go to half in one battle, wow. Was quite a surprise until I saw what my new morale was. I turned into super uber awsomeness, rather than just the normal awsomeness that a warden is.
