Thread: Grr. 93 orcs so far in Agmar and I still haven't gotten last book page from there

I know how it all works. 4 pages from each zone type. For 2 books, I have gotten a total of 7 pages from the orcs in Agmar. And since the 7th page , I have killed 93 orcs. And have not gotten the last page for my much needed multiple javelin throw skill.

Wasn't it stated that book page drops would be improved in frequency?

My warden has got that one finished. But still lacking 3 total from the other two books. My burg who was 50 when MoM came out and is now 65 killed hundreds and hundreds of mobs for her final page...it never dropped. SoM came, I happily ran to eregion and farmed, and farmed..a n d f a r m e d....north, south, solo'd a bit in the school...still no drop. Finally, in finishing up my books I went to Mirobel and solo'd 14.?? (i forget which chapter). I'm sure it's close to 100 mobs in that one book instance...and lo and behold, when I was least thinking about getting a book page and most thinking about how much fun I was having doing that instance solo (it took me like 3 hours!) my page finally dropped. After 2 years of various serious attempts at getting it to drop.

It's all luck of the draw, sorry to hear you're having such crummy luck. I'd suggest running the instance to get it to drop as was mentioned before, or work on various slayer deeds to give yourself a different goal while still aiming for that last page.

Yes.
1) Via making 8 pages personal drops instead of world drops.

2) The books can be bought at level 39 from your class trainer. No more struggle to get a world drop.

3) Doubling the number of available targets by adding two new zones.

Depending on your luck, it can take a long time your last page. It took 20 hours for my guardian to get his last page. Thamin is only one of my seven characters with such rotten luck. Hopefully your luck will be better than my guardian's luck.

My suggestion is to run one of the Epic instances with a lot of humanoids in it. Take advantage of "Inspired Greatness" to buzz saw through the opponents. There has to multiple choices in the appropriate regions.

IIRC, I had about 130 kills between 7th and 8th doing the Angmarims


Also, you may want to try Other mobs? Sometimes, a change of venue "seems" to reset the "RNG" (no, this is totally just perception lol, but it seems to help )

It can take ages for the last page sometimes. Try book 7 instance quests. You can work on your angmarim deed if you haven't done it and kill 2 birds with 1 stone. Not to mention, if you've previously done it, you can go again via reflecting pool and that way you are in a city and can sell your loot after each trip and make some $ in the process instead of being out in the middle of nowhere grinding mobs. (I don't think there's a limit on those other than the usual instance limit, but correct me if I'm wrong).

And if someone needs Misty Mtn mobs, work on book 5. Same thing applies on reflecting pool.

I'm at about 189 orcs now. At this rate I will finish the advanced orc deed before I get the book page. Ah well...

Thing is, she is 43. Forachel is a bit too hard for her now, and Eregion, definitely not yet.

I'll try that inspired greatness thing when she finishes the orc deed. And Zeal is worth the time grinding orcs at least.

Finally got that last page from Agmar, orc count 208. Phew!

Now for the joys of dodging snow beasts and worms to get to the hillmen in the Misty Mountains...

Question - Is it Forachel or Eregion that has the pages that drop in the Misty Mountains?

That's good, as there are vendors easily reachable in Forachel. Makes sense I guess, both MM and Forachel are snowy places.
