Anyone know where I can get LOTRO sound track? I'd especially like the current tavern music and in particular this one song with a very nice haunting flute playing as lead.
I'm unsure if the songs you want to hear are on the soundtracks, but I DO know that you can get the soundtracks on CD if you can find any of the Collector's Edition copies of the game.
I also know that Turbine released one of the soundtracks as a free download to anyone who wanted it though I don't know where the links are now...they are no longer on the LotRO site as far as I know. If you do a forum search for "soundtracks" or something you'll probably be able to find the old threads with the links in them.
You might also be able to get an in-game friend, guildie, or someone from the forums to make a CD copy for ya though that may be more difficult.

As I recall, they were released as part of a test of the Turbine Downloader, and once that test was over, they were no longer available. It might possibly be due to some copyright issues (some of the music is theirs outright and some only licensed, if I remember correctly).
Pity, too. Some of the pieces, like "The Brigand's Tale" I'd love to have a longer version than a one min fragment. Much of the in-game music is simply delightful. Kudos to Stephen DiGregorio and Chance Thomas (and any other contributors) for a remarkable soundtrack.

Playing music in LotRO is as easy as ABC!
This subject comes up every couple of months, it would be nice if we could get one of these threads Stickied, to make it easier to find for folks interested in finding the music in the future.
