Thread: How many would drop $20 for PvMP expansion

Just intrested to know.

The expansion would be along the lines of

PvMP-Skirmishes/Small New Zone
Possibly a new Goblin Creep Class
New Freep Rewards.
Small Monster Play faction upgrade(IE Mailboxes, Auction Houses,new Appearences)





As far as balance and gameplay go, those would hopefully get fixed( such as Conjunctions) just in general with the game.

I would pay 20$, although I shouldn't have to pay for the pvp that said it's included in the game. It should give some new skills too. I can buy like 4 more skills on my reaver. They're all many ranks away and half of them are terrible.

I would drop $40-$50 for a PvMP expansion...

If they showed some sort of commitment to PVMP then maybe I would but as it stands I don't care if PVMP goes away completely. They will never, ever release a PVMP xpac. We'll see a Narnia expansion sooner than that.

If they looked at all the creep classes and did a bit of changeing to like the defiler raical skills
and maybe even did a retool of the classes.
or a way to make it so every reaver/WL/spider are not exactly the same

For example
let some spiders have 3 skill trees they can Be one for CC one for Pets and one for debuffs

or wargs can have a DPS , stealth , or a mix?? no idea

No to a new zone. Most of the time it's already hard enough to find creeps/freeps. Imagine if those few players were spread out over 2 zones + skirmishes.

Now, if they want to replace the ettenmoors for something new for a chance of scenery, sure I'm for it.

This has been needed for a long time. Why should freeps be the only side that can play pint-sized packages of screaming death?

I'd also love to see some type of magic/caster class along the lines of an Angmarim Priest or Sorcerer. They have them all over the place in the PvE portion of the game after all.

Anyhoo, heck yeah I'd pay $20 for a chunky PvP update.

But a big "NO" to a new zone, we don't have enough people. I think they should just expand the Moors to reach up into Angmar more. or something like that.

A new zone would bring out more players.

I don't want an "additional" zone, I want a "new" zone. Close the Ettenmoors and open the Ettenwood.

I would love to have some way to transfer things between my Creeps without having to bother someone else Also would be nice to have some new territory to roam. Been in the Moors a LONG time.

Nice of you to come in here and bash PvMP and add +1 to your post count. Some of us actually like to play MMOs with other people.

there is a common saying in Chinese mmorpg market : No Pvp,No success .PVP is claimed to be an important factor in mmorpg nowadays ,so a lot people think lotro wont success in Chinese market because it is lack of PVP elements .and there are always some thread asking for PVP to be added to the game sometimes . though the Chinese version during last tests don't have any difference with the USA and EU version ,yet I dare not to say this will be changed in the future .

but here goes another big discovery during I write this article :PVP is really coming in China !I checked the Chinese lore book somedays ago ,found there are some interesting Deeds!Such as :

Deed :Champion-Slayer of Eregion :rank 1
LvL :60
Discreption :Champions who enter Eregion must be killed!

Deed : Hobbits-Slayer of Angmar :rank 4
LVL :60
Discreption :Hobbit s who enter Angmar must be killed!

Deeds: Wevear- Slayer of Forochel rank 5

According to the deed and the description ,I can 100% believe they refer to the pvmp side,in Chinese version creeps will walk outside Ettemoors and enter Forochel ,Eregion and Angmar !***!Creeps walking out from Ettenmoors was once a rumor ,now it will came TRUE !WHAT ARE YOU DOING ?Turbine !I don't know how this will impact USA and Europe version ,but I really disappointed by THS changes !I don't know why turbine have listened the Chinese lotro agent to do such a big unbalanced change !

In all honesty, I would pay a lot more than that, they could pretty much name their price. I have no interest in other games and considering the amount of time I've wasted on this one, a few dollars is meaningless.

I would pay $20 for a pvmp update. Where do I sign up!

Now that I'm thinking about it...I think I would pay $40-$50 for a pvmp update...although it would have to have a little more than the OP.

I would pay $40-$50 easy. I agree with other people, new zone, and close down the current PvP zone.

I think they should keep the moors. I say cut the zone in half would make pvp a lot more fast paced, Lower amount of NPC's.

Regardless they need to do something. And well pay for it!

The only reason i Say cut the current moors, is because on FF the fights are usually the same place everyday. Its not till a group of us go out a start to roam, and the creeps don't usually like to leave there precious ECB, or OC(if lugz is freep controlled). So after a while this stuff gets very old, and its time for a change of scenery.

Nice thread, Foy. I'd drop the money easily. I think creepside needs to be retooled ( why the heck would a defiler want to use dying rage!??!) and expanded. Or maybe I should just go play on China's servers. I am Chinese afterall (and not a gold farmer mind you).

To be honest, I'd pay $20 or more for just a new map! Nevermind the rest of that. I think a new map would be hugely refreshing for a lot of people. Bring some of the oldies back to explore, and end the old-map-boredom the rest of us are experiencing. I don't think there is a part of the map I haven't fought in now.

Im not necessarily sure I would pay for it or not. Don't get me wrong, PvMP is like the only thing I do in this game (when I bother to play it), but at this point I'm sick of giving Turbine money. Its bad enough that I keep giving them a subscription when I really shouldn't, but really the only reason I'm here is to talk to the friends I've made here.

Be nice to see some creep only players find a reason to pay for an expansion aside from the monthly subscription.

I have a second account witha WL and neither of the two expansions on it, and yet the guy is 65 and able to get the new skills/traits.

I dont know that I would drop $20 for PvP. I know I would to:

• Gank noobs in Bree back alleys
• Play as a Cargul (love the red robe) and ride around terrifying noob hobbits in the shire
• Have Deeds like:
  • Capture and torture Elves
  • Capture and torture Elves (Advanced)
  • Shave Dwarf Beards
  • Shave Dwarf Beards (Advanced)
  • Capture Towns: (Trestlebridge, Bree)
  • Capture Outposts:
• Slaughter quest critters that freeps need

I must say, theres way more than that in my head but Im sure the post would poof if I put the real list up.

i'd definitely pay and i'm sure others would come back and pay too given the xpac was good...turbine doesn't see the profits they can make with pvp...personally a good MMO has a nice balance between pve and pvp and lotro's balance is way off center towards pve

I'd pay. I'm on a lifetime now and don't play my freeps any more, so I passed on the SoM expansion (never even got half way through MoM).

Another interesting question -- for other creep only lifers out there, if the next expansion required you to buy it to auto-bump your creeps up to the new level cap, would you buy it?

If SoM came out that way (pay $20 or stay at level 60) and still had absolutely nothing for PvMP, I'd now be an ex-player. And I think a lot of others would too.
