Thread: "Unspecified Patch Error"

My load screen says there is an Unspecified Patch Error when trying to update programs. I keep getting this pop-up that says "ACL change failed in SetNamedSecurityInfo." I tried uninstalling and reinstalling "Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1" and "Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1 (Hotfix)” but that didn't work. I installed Microsoft Visual DirectX 9.0c Redistributable but that didn't work either. I'm getting sick of having to uninstall and reinstall what feels like dozens of programs just to play the game. Can someone please help me? I feel like I've exhausted my options. Thank you.

Update:
I got the answer off the D%D online forums. Just clicked the launcher icon and chose Run as Administrator. If anyone ever has this problem, that worked fine. Finally! On to playing!
