Xaris kai Aletheia
Xaris kai Aletheia
A Christian Kinship on Silverlode
Website: http://xaris.guildportal.com/
Loreboook: http://lorebook.lotro.com/wiki/Xaris_kai_Aletheia
Xaris kai Aletheia (ka-ris kai al-ay-thee-a) (Grace and Truth) exists simply to have fun and fellowship in a good, Christian environment, where we can organize activities and work together for the benefit of one another and be an example to those on the outside of what Christ has done in our lives.
XkA was founded on day one of the LOTRO open beta. We've experienced consistent growth since that time and we continue to accept applications and recruits from Christians or those who want to hang out with them.Silverlode - Arondolas Glurim, Gilraedor, Boldoric, Flurim

Re: Xaris kai Aletheia
XKA is a great kinship, and I've been one of the members since 2007 (Few months after release) and it has grown by a huge amount since then.
We are by no means a "raiding" kin, but we do want to be able to see all the content. So for those that are curious... we normally we run 2-4 Turtle runs a week, and have a weekly attempt at the watcher (we get closer each time, and always make it into phase 3 now
)
I would say the majority of members in our kin are casual, but we get a lot done too. There always seems to be something going on when I get on. PvMP, instances, book quests, and every once in a while a good game of freeze tag.
I hope others on the server have good experiences with XKA, and we always welcome others who want to join our kin on our adventures.
Take care, and happy hunting

Re: Xaris kai Aletheia
Not gonna lie, Xaris is a great kin. I people in it are awesome, and they are definitely determined when it comes to instances and raids. When I went into that watcher run, I didn't think it was going to go so well, what with past experiences going bad, but it went surprisingly well. Good job, XkA =)

Re: Xaris kai Aletheia
Hello Grace & Truth,
I am a former player From Brandywine server, where i have 2 LvL 50's. I have been away from Lotro for about 2 years due to RL issues. As I made my way back into my original Kinship, I noticed A drastic change in the member base. It seems that the casual, laid back, FUN, & helpful kinship I left, has become a hardcore raiding and grindfest kin. Most of the people I knew have left or quit playing Lotro.
I am 37, Married/w children, My wife also loves Lotro and will play again when we can get our 2nd computer fixed & upgraded. I have started a few characters on this server, i have a LvL 43 warden, a LvL 25 Burg. and a 17 captian that I have 97% solo'd all three. I love the game, but I am missing the social aspects, and the fun times that come with playing with other good people, also with people who understand RL must come first. I have done some reading of this forum and your guild portal website, this seems like a very close knit fun group of people. I also Love the fact that this Kinship is Christian Based.
I see your kniship from time to time around Middle earth, and was wondering, if your kinship would be interested in an old vet/new player such as myself?
Please send me a PM or a /tell in game! Thanks for your time!

Re: Xaris kai Aletheia
Hello folks, we are still a very active kin even during this relatively "slow" time in LoTRO as we eagerly are waiting for some new content to be released. Last night I counted 20+ kin members on. We had a full group who ran through Urugarth to get a few class items and several people who were working on alts and a couple groups doing DG instances. We are also fairly active in the moors, mostly freep side these days to try and balance the numbers, not that we have any luck out there but its fun none the less running with kin groups

If you are looking for a laid back family friendly kinship to be apart of check us out. If you have any questions please ask.

Also welcome to all the new members who have joined.

Re: Xaris kai Aletheia
Hey everyone, haven't posted in a while so I thought I would drop in and say that XKA is still accepting new members. We are a great laid back kin for casual players to the not-so-casual

Had a great time a couple weeks ago running through the whole Rift just to get some meta deeds done
I love that raid, and was specially fun since most of us brought alts that had never done it before.
Anyways, take care and see ya in-game

I've had the pleasure of grouping with several of your members in a couple BG raids recently. It seems to me like XKA is a good group of folks. Welcoming and fun to game with.

Re: Xaris kai Aletheia
Been a while since I posted, but even so we have had a ton of new members join recently. Glad to see all the new faces.
If anyone is interested in joining, check out our website. Our members range from the extremely casual to others who raid multiple nights a week. Also you can normally find a few of us in the moors
Happy hunting everyone,Last edited by Naethin; May 17 2011 at 10:25 AM.
