It looks great with my helm off too. The boots are of a similar design, they are white to match my sleeves, but also gold filigree. I modeled it off a holy muslim style knight of the desert, with cloth over the metals. None of it is from the same set, they're all pieces from other armors that just happen to work together.
Being a "hardcore" RPer (there's some humor there, if you care to catch it), I have a lot of cosmetic outfits I'm rather pleased with (on multiple characters), so this'll take two posts. I made the pics nice and small, though, so they shouldn't take up too much screen real estate.
L42 dwarf-make armor, default color (black). Best outfit in the game for a dwarf.
Also: "Black tie" outfit
===
L35 dwarf-make stuff, dyed green. Nobody uses green, and I think it looks damn sharp on this armor.
Also: Casual outfit
L16 dwarf-make light armor, dyed orange, with a early (L16?) cloak, dyed red. I also have a hooded version and matching "wrap" shouders for when it's raining, but it pretty much looks exactly the same.
Also: Business suit
===
Banded hauberk with some vendor-bought shoes. Not much available at L2...
===
Same outfit someone else posted, but dyed navy (I think). Best "average Joe" outfit I've found.
BTW, would someone please tell me the the lore reason hobbits wear shoes. I would really like to know
Well no need to answer this now as it's been done so well on page 5 by Reddhawk, who seems to be generally a font of knowledge on anything Tolkienish . Just for the record, yes Blippo's family is originally from the stoors, hence why he seems to like wearing shoes and boots sometimes. He does take them off when coming home to The Shire sometimes though (mostly when i don't forget too! )
Just stopping by for a quick visit, when I didn't see these boots in any pic above, I
thought I would post. I promise I won't delete them this time
Below is my Grande Armée uniform. It actually looked a lot better (and more
Napoleonic) in Light Blue, but just after I discovered that, the dyable area was
changed to just the chest, the arms became white, and the whole effect was
lost. It was a dark time, but I survived. Thank you Gloria Gayner!
and yeah, that leg wound took a long time to heal, but ya gotta suffer for art.

The dwarven brothers Korgin (Minstrel) and Norgin (Obviously an RK by his purse):
Belareth, the champion who masquerades as a hunter in that same dwarf chest/legs that we've seen a few times in this thread, elven boots, and some random heavy armor gloves:
And my guardian Mila, in a grand amalgam of pieces that somehow manage to match (my friends know how much I searched to find a pair of pants to match that darn chestpiece):
The rest of my characters are terribly boring right now.
Mila Bramblefoot, the Awesome - Guardian of Windfola
I wear fine westerneese protector armor dyed in umber
this gives my female charactor a nice set of wood brown colored buckskins whis particular set has a kind of miniskirt like cloth frontal piece as oposed to simple pants
it also has a high leather boot It makes for a very beautiful and immersive set of clothing
wish i knew how to post the picture here but i dont.
Here is my Guardian, Nymphonic. She is wearinga Rivendell dress with the Moria cape. Looking at these pics reminds me of why I love this game so much. Turbine did such a good job.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out & proclaiming "WOW, what a ride!"
Civ II rules after all these years......
Here are mine... I play around with outfits quite a lot, so they change from time to time.
That's my casual outfit. The boots and pants are from the Annuminas armour set. I'm still trying to find a whole set that works with those 2 pieces. I don't like the shirt or the gloves from the set, so I've always looked for alternatives. The chest piece is a random low level shirt I found on the AH. I don't remember if it's crafted or a world drop.
And this is my "elven" themed outfit. The chest and legs are from the orod-na-thon set, but I believe there are craftable pieces that look practically the same (maybe dye differently).
I'd like to heartily thank everyone who actually notates what it is they're wearing instead of just posting the pic with no comment.
Additionally, I'd like to thank Turbine for adding the cosmetic clothing system (now, PLEASE get us cosmetic weapons & shields!)
Also, this thread is a perfect example of one man's trash being another's treasure. I look at some folks favorite outfits being posted and think, "Dear god, that's the most hideous thing I've ever seen. My eyeballs need a good washing now." and I'm sure that some folks would think exactly the same of my choices.
The actual notion that anyone in their right mind would wear a cape into battle (in RL) is utterly ridiculous. This also plays on me whenever i've got one on in combat, it usually doesn't stay there for long.
But anyway...
Here's my Warden at the moment, looking nice and red in my Kinship's Uniform.
My favorite outfit. It blends together really well.
Yeah - very nice matching.
Here's me on mail duty ...

Duvi Vastin: "But whenever we take feedback on most game systems, such as character builds, economics, or especially anything to do with PvP, then we are forced to read very carefully between the lines of any and all player feedback, as it is all inevitably skewed by self-investment, self-interest, and a deeply subjective viewpoint that increases in direct proportion to how long or successfully a player has occupied a particular role."
