I'm looking for this as well. At this point though, I don't care if it has a hood or not. Please let me know if you end up finding a way to get it, outside of the instances.
The hooded version is also Cloudmantle. It used to be an extremely rare drop from Helegrod in the pre-scaled version. It may be on the barter vendor now, but I'm not sure.

Glad to see somebody picked up on that hoodless Cloudmantle I necro'ed a months-old thread in vain to inquire after; this is certainly a better thread to ask such things.
I strongly suspect this cloak is an extremely rare random world drop, so I've been examining every one I find in hopes of lucking out.
I did send the original poster of that screenshot a PM when I first saw it, but no reply; if his forum activity is any indication, maybe he has left the game. Perhaps this mystery will remain unsolved until he comes back and answers it for us...

My suspicion is that it's one of the moria yellow drops usually called Cloak of Might or similar though there were numerous versions with the same name which makes this all the more difficult. I'd love for a dev to see this and either add a new drop or barter for it in game or even add it to store.
Couple of questions. Firstly is there any way to get northmen tokens solo or with a very small group please? Secondly, does anyone know where this cloak comes from please?
*without hood please
Thanks,

Ive seen that before
Its the tp bought "Ceremonial Cloak of Mordiriths Bane" Dyed Crimson ... before RoI, you could buy it, and dye it, the cloak shape stayed the same *the cuts at the bottom* but each dye color had a different cloak from instances, and quests etc etc ... but after RoI this all got changed and you cant dye them anymore, but if it got dyed it was stuck like that ...
"Ahh!! my eyes! my eyes!" ... what's wrong you may ask? Nothing, I just don't have any.

Happy Friday everyone! I've been trying to make a Hill-man themed outfit, and thought I'd share the results. If you'd like to see more pics and the list of pieces, please click here.
I think my hobbit looks adorable in the Ajokoira outfit It also looks cool on my Elf but I prefer this more, it highlights how small and chubby hobbits are. The Lossoth steed from the Anniversary festival is also a nice addition to the outfit.
(the cloak is Ceremonial Cloak of Mammutti, can be bought in Forochel if you have enough rep)

C.T. here Starry, fine work as usual! Can't say I'm fond of the chestpiece (ditto for all Helegrod armor, basically), but you managed to find a good niche for it here. Hill-men, who'd have thought?

Ah bad news but good to know none the less so thank you

I think VillageStooge is right. There used to be a bug with other cloaks that if you dyed them they would take on a different appearance and they do share the same shape.
I've added a thread in the store feedback forum so if anyone would like to see the cloak added to the store please add your signature to it

Does anyone know of a shabby-looking robe? Does such a thing exist? I've tried previewing everything I have already in umber, grey, and ranger green dyes, but they all still look too fancy. I do have the shabby set of clothes from the Yule festival, but I'd rather not use the leggings look for an outfit of old traveling clothes.

The Skirmish Cosmetics vendor will sell you the Well-worn Tunic and the Wash Day Dress, both pretty nice shabby stuff! The Well-worn Robe could be another option from the same vendor.
The Lotro Store has the Rugged Adventurer's Robe and the Carpenter's Robe, both shabby as well but cost TP.
Does anyone have any ideas/links for cosmetic ideas for my dwarf RK? On my champ I like the ToO armor set cosmetics enough that I just wear those around, with no cloak and a crimson-dyed quiver.
For my RK...I just don't generally like the look of robes. I'm not usually huge on cloaks, either, so if there's some sort of backpack that might be more RK appropriate I'd be interested in that. I like the boar mask cosmetic, although I wish there was a way to get rid of that little pig nose thing up top as it makes an otherwise cool mask look sort of silly. For the rest of the outfit, I'm thinking maybe leather type stuff? I plan on making my hunter have the more tattered, woodland ranger type thing going on with greens and browns, so I'd prefer a more clean, esoteric sort of look for the RK. Black works for sure, but I don't really want to look too...burglarish, if that makes any sense. Right now I'm just rocking the darker ranger set from the Vol. III rewards, but I'm getting tired of it and you see a million hunters running around with these cosmetics anyway. I got the light-colored one on the RK to see how that'd look but it doesn't dye very well and has that gross pale green in places that you can't really do anything about.
So, suggestions welcome, but if it involves stuff that drops in old raids and whatnot it will likely be hard for me to obtain.

Why don't you check out the range of cosmetic Raid armour pieces that are now available at the Skirmish Camp cosmetics vendor? The Helegrod Runekeeper robe is great for a dwarf and has a beautiful adorned back that needs absolutely no cloak. You don't even really need shoulder guards. Try it on in the dressing room and test it in different colours. You could also use the Robe of Viisaus (quest reward from Volume I, or available in the store) and dye it in a more stunning colour like Crimson or Ered Luin Blue.
If you're not looking for a robe, you may want to consider a Tunic & Pants type. They look really awesome on dwarves. Personally I love the Tunic & Pants that was given for the Anniversary to 4+year players, (I have it dyed grey -with a white beard- on my dwarf RK and it looks stunning with the golden trim), but other Tunics look good as well.
Consider changing your hair and beard colour to match your new outfit and visit a Barber!

Hi C! Thanks so much -- glad you like it! The Helegrod pieces definitely do well from some finessing, I agree. But once worked in with other pieces you can get some really surprising combinations.

In addition to the ones Lyzau/Hymne mentioned (which are all great shabby choices), you could also try the crafted T1 crafted light robe -- Rough Cloth Robe, I believe. It's got a really nice patchy, motley look.
My Guardian has never had a proper battle-dress I've been truly content with, so the other day I rummaged through what stuff I had in the "RP Gear" tab of his vault and came up with the below. No theme in mind to start with, no full range of stashed-away stuff to work with, and I got this: I'm dubbing it his Arnorian Adherent look.
Given that I don't have Wardrobe access (still trying to confirm what it does and doesn't allow!) I'm pretty satisfied with it, just that the boots clipping through the skirt anytime he's not standing still gets on my nerves somewhat...

Wow a guard in a dress, very nice!! Well done outfit.
If you have any questions regarding the outfit system and Wardrobe in particular, you can either read my guide or send me PM if you have any additional concerns. I'd be happy to help you out!

Ah, thanks, I forgot about the Skirmish guy. I generally didn't like the look of a lot of the old heavy armor sets on my champ so didn't think to check out the other options there. I might have to give the regular skirmish armor guy a look, too.
May I ask- even if it's offtopic- why isn't this thread in the "LOTRO Forums Hall of Fame" section?
In "General Discussion" I always have to search for it

Re: Show us your favorite cosmetic outfit
A while ago when I visited Micheal Delving to make myself a new traveling outfit, I saw this wonderful huge flower! Quickly I ran to admire it and imagine my suprise when I stumbled over the mysterious hobbit lad Telitoro, smartly dressed in green attire to camoflague with the grass! ^_^
Here we are, enjoying the sunny afternoon and just having a great time:
The outfit turned out like this:
A bagpack filled with tasty food is a must on a long journey and the hat protect from both strong sunlight and rain! ^_^

~~Superb outfit, incredible presentation and context. +Rep to you and deep /bow. Amazing!!~~
To first answer the previous question: I'm not sure exactly the name of the piece, but I do know that it's the Watcher Minstrel shoulder piece.
Anyway, I have a couple new outfits for my Warden. One I really like, one i'm experimenting with, so any feedback on the 2nd outfit is greatly appreciated!
This red outfit is the one I really like.
This is my experimental outfit after recently receiving the Barad Guldur Warden's Helm.

Thanks very much! I actually read your wardrobe guide some time ago... will take another look into it the next time wardrobe slots go on significant discount. =]
That silver warden outfit... that's the Helm of the Wall-warden, no? Always admired it for its Corinthian look; it and one other item, the Threadbare Leggings of the Dunland Healer which reminds me of a Roman Legionary's skirt, makes me think it'd be interesting to see how a Greek/Roman influenced getup flies in the game.
Found the solution to my RK's fashion problems. Kept the Boar's head festival mask, the darker colored Ranger cosmetics for gloves and boots, the default pants (I'm not sure exactly how I got these to show, but there's no cosmetic equipped so it's just really dark blue pants with a red stripe down the side), the level 58 Marchwarden crafted chest piece dyed black (I believe the crit version is black by default) and the dark ranger shoulder armor dyed red. I'm using the skirmish barter map backpack dyed black. I also dyed my RK bag red, which I wasn't even aware you could do and was preparing myself to have this clashing green bag on my hip. In general it's black and red with gold trim and little bits of blue here and there and I'm really pleased with the look. It would go perfectly with my Lossoth steed if the accents were red instead of orange.
This is my friend, Olak the dwarf hunter. I love this particular look of his and I took some screenies (his permission of course!) and had to post them up.
Enjoying the new cosmetics. Normally I'm not so into flowers and definitely not pink, but I actually like these pieces:
head: Traveller's Hood, rose dye, store cosmetic
shoulders: Disused Mantle of the Dunland Soothsayer, Dunland quest reward
back: Sembelmyne Cloak, umber dye, festival reward
body: Sembelmyne Dress, umber dye, festival reward
this is fantastic, I was thinking of making something Easterling inspired +rep. What are the shoes on this? I'm having a tough time finding ones to go with the tunic
