Hi guys! First off sorry if there is a thread already pertaining to this "exact" issue, but likely not. I tried searching for one, but after the search yielded nothing, I decided making a thread!
Ok so this isn't the normal horrible laggy bad computer fps problem. My computer isn't even half bad, it's just it shouldn't be this bad!
I own an HP dv6000 laptop, which is pretty good, and I can do gaming no problem on low to med settings on a lot of games!
On all low settings I only get highest around 32 fps, but usually a constant 27 fps, except for one thing, my fps randomly drops like 6 fps every 3-4 seconds consistently! It will go from like 27 to 19 fps as I walk. This makes it appear like my screen "skips". I think it is what stuttering is qualified as, but I am not sure. I tried the thread about improving graphic performance, but nothing worked. I don't think my pc should be this bad. In fact even normally my FPS should be able to get at least 40 right?? I mean on low settings with this hardware I would expect at least a little better.
If anyone has this problem and knows something I may be able to try, please reply. I am really anal about this, and it is hard to concentrate on this amazing game when my fps behaves so oddly. Thanks guys!

You might try searching the Knowledge Base (our FAQ) for this issue. There's a link in my signature. Personally, I find that single term searches generally give better results. Try searching for "FPS" and see what you find - one or more of the articles may be helpful.
If that doesn't help, then I'd recommend emailing Tech. There's a link for Tech in my signature as well... and on that page is a link to send an email.

Since you're using a laptop, does it go into a power-saving mode? If so, try disabling it while you're gaming to see if it helps.
