Alright puny freeps, now is the time to prove you have what it takes to defend Middle Earth against the onslaught of the forces of Sauron.
The Black Blade now challenges freep leaders to form up a team of 12 freeps to meet us on the battlefield with bragging rights as the ultimate prize.
Here are the very few rules for the challenge, they apply to both sides equally.
- 12 people per team
- No more than 2 character of the same classes per team of 12.
- Up to 6 benchwarmers can be present to be switched between engagements
- Everything else is fair game. That includes : pots, hope, battle scrolls, dp perks, brand/insignias and all manner of consumables not listed.
-Bouts are to the death and we will likely go at it as long as people are willing to keep fighting.
So when and where? When is rather simple, the target date at the moment is Wednesday the 22nd of April starting at 8pm. As for the where, I will mail the exact location of the fight to the leader(s) that will represent the freep side.
I spoke to a few freeps that told me they were interested and if this fight is a success I'm hoping it wont be the last. If you want to participate on your freep keep in mind you will be going up against 12 people that have been pvping for quite a while, know the ins and outs of the moors and thirst for freep blood, so bring your A game. I am NOT encouraging spectators simply because it usually leads to drama, so if you happen to come across the fight keep your distances and use the /sit emote or you will be taken down quite fast.

To any freeps actually trying this challenge I would highly suggest not bringing hunters as they are very weak in this format. Champs however are quite powerful in this format and I would suggest bringing 2.
I'm always up for these challenges and I HAVE faced the BB before in this type of set up. They are an elite force and a pain to bring down in battle.

I'll most likely not make it by 8pm EST, but I'll try. Either way, when I DO show up, I'll be ready for battle if any group needs me or I can assist in keeping order in The Moors.
haha, won't matter what 12 freep classes you get together [I]unless[I] you've found a few strong freep leaders to participate who can develop a solid gameplan and clear strategy on how to handle Prep and his tactics/leadership style. Without the leadership and strict discipline needed to fight a prep-led raid, it'll be a slaughter.... lol

Alright, glad I didn't underestimate the interest for that sort of fight, I'll simply mail the exact location of the fight to Chrysalis, Turmil and Izo sometime tomorrow since they (turmil was proxy but who cares) were the ones to confirm their presence for the time we set. As far as communication goes if a member of the freeps wants to join us on the BB vent or if a BB is sent on the freep vent we should be fine.

I certainly appreciate the vote of confidence. I guarantee that Vengeance members will put up a fight, even though we're certainly the underdogs. The Blade is full of great PvPers, and Prep is a great leader, but Vengeance has both great leaders and great PvPers as well.
No matter what happens, it'll be fun. I always look forward to challenges like this.

I wouldn't exactly call you underdogs. One of the greatest strengths a PvPer could have in this kind of setting is knowledge of the other side. Something that gives many of us creeps an advantage is knowing freep class strengths and weaknesses from having those classes ourselves, whereas many freep PvPers have never seriously played a creep class of any kind. With Vengeance however, many have creeps that they play or have played regularly, so they have similar knowledge of the "other" sides inner workings, which can be a powerful tool in fights like this will be...
Not to rain on anyone's parade, but 1g says it turns into a free for all mess.
Last time this happened we had a good 12 rounds before it ended. And it was over once Butta got mad that he was on the KoS list, and brought in a raid of lowbies to kill them. I'm sure once we're discovered we can get a secondary location decided on.
