    Recipe Listing Errors

I maintain a spreadsheet containing a list of all recipes that my characters have or need. This is to make it possible to compare drops I get without having to change characters to see if they still need a particular recipe.

While comparing my list with the Lorebook recipe list by craft today, I noticed the following list of errors:

    1. NONE of the Improved Componet recipes are listed. This is true for all crafts. I know they give the same item TIMES 5 as the regular component but they are still different recipes and need to be listed independently under their correct name.

    2. Gold Dye is listed as a Tier 3 Scholar recipe. It is a Tier 1 scholar recipe. However, Improved Gold Dye is a Tier 3 recipe and is not listed (see item 1 above). The same is true of other dyes on other Tiers.

    3. Tier 6 cooking is missing all of the Trail Food recipes.

    4. The terms Inlay and Enamel appear to be reversed in the lorebook Jeweller listings compared to what you buy ingame. Example, for tier 4 Lorebook says Platinum Inlay and game sells Platinum Enamel, Lorebook lists Yellow Enamel and the game sells Yellow Inlay. Similiar errors are on other tier listings as well.

    5. Tier 6 Scholar. Scrol of Supreme Crafting Lore entries are all missing.

    6. Tailor recipes. There is still some confusion as to whether the recipes are for BOOTS or SHOES. This needs to be made consistent across the board in both game and lorebook. Often it is one way in one place and different in the other.

    7. Weaponsmith - Tier 6 Sellsword recipes are all missing.

    8. Woodworking - Not listed in lorebook recipe list by tier - T2 Ash Javelin, T3 Yew Javelin, T4 Lebethron Javelin, T5 Black Ash Javelin

    9. Woodworking - Tier 6 Holly recipes are all missing.

Yes, we are aware that certain recipes are missing and are working as fast as dwarvenly possible to get them restored. Some questions below to help us ensure we'll catch the errors you are seeing as well.

    1. NONE of the Improved Componet recipes are listed. This is true for all crafts. I know they give the same item TIMES 5 as the regular component but they are still different recipes and need to be listed independently under their correct name.
Can you provide some recipe names (other than gold dye mentioned below) as examples. Woodworker/forester would be best as that is what me toon is currently maxed out on.

    2. Gold Dye is listed as a Tier 3 Scholar recipe. It is a Tier 1 scholar recipe. However, Improved Gold Dye is a Tier 3 recipe and is not listed (see item 1 above). The same is true of other dyes on other Tiers.
We'll look into this one a bit more and see what is going on.

    3. Tier 6 cooking is missing all of the Trail Food recipes.
    5. Tier 6 Scholar. Scrol of Supreme Crafting Lore entries are all missing.
Again, can you provide a few names to help us track this down.

Hmm... can you post a screenshot or two of these. This will help us figure out where disconnect on this lies.

    6. Tailor recipes. There is still some confusion as to whether the recipes are for BOOTS or SHOES. This needs to be made consistent across the board in both game and lorebook. Often it is one way in one place and different in the other.
Do you have some examples of the differences? I'm not clear here if you mean the game itself should just use boots or shoes across the board, or if you are saying that the game says boots and the Lorebook shoes. Links and screenshots would be helpful here.

    7. Weaponsmith - Tier 6 Sellsword recipes are all missing.
I'm seeing 9 results that match T6 sellsword. What's missing off that list?

    8. Woodworking - Not listed in lorebook recipe list by tier - T2 Ash Javelin, T3 Yew Javelin, T4 Lebethron Javelin, T5 Black Ash Javelin

    9. Woodworking - Tier 6 Holly recipes are all missing.
I'm seeing javelin recipes up there, but I'll check against my toon and bug these if necessary.

It may just be me but I see some armor that does not show the armor value.

    Re: Recipe Listing Errors

Ok, let me show you some clear examples with links to the appropriate pages.

I only look at pages for a particular tier when comparing recipes to my list because of the sheer number of recipes in some crafts (Tailor has 802 by my count).

    8. missing javelin recipes - http://lorebook.lotro.com/wiki/Categ...man_Woodworker

My woodworker has a recipe for an Ash Javelin under Ranged Weapons for Journeyman. Same is true for the other missing javelin recipes mentioned when compared to the single tier listings from the Lorebook.

    1. None of the Improved Components recipes are listed. Here is a link to the WW Tier 3 recipe list I compared with - http://lorebook.lotro.com/wiki/Categ...ert_Woodworker

On my WW, I show 4 different recipes under category Expert / Components (Guild). These are Improved Etched Yew Brace, Improved Etched Yew Staff, Improved Yew Bowstaff, and Improved Yew Haft. None of these recipes appears on the page linked above.

    2. Scholar recipe mix up - http://lorebook.lotro.com/wiki/Categ...Expert_Scholar

As you can see, on this page are listed the following Dyes: Gold, Grey, Navy, Olive, Sienna, Turquoise, Umber Violet.

According to my scholar list in game, there are only 3 dyes for this level - Navy, Turquoise, Violet.

But there are 5 recipes under Expert / Dyes (Guild) called Improved Gold Dye, Improved Grey Dye, Improved Olive Dye, Improved Sienna Dye, Improved Umber Dye. These recipes are not listed on the linked page above.

    5. Scholar Supreme crafting lore recipes missing - http://lorebook.lotro.com/wiki/Categ...upreme_Scholar

On my scholar under Supreme / Crafting Lore are the usual set of recipes - Scroll of Supreme Lore - where is Cooking, Jeweller, Metalworker, Scholar, Tailor, Weaponsmith, Woodworking. None of these recipes show on the specified page.

    3. Missing trail food recipes on Tier 6 Cook - http://lorebook.lotro.com/wiki/Categ...:_Supreme_Cook

My cook shows the following recipes under Supreme / Trail Food - Buttered Scones and Jam, Cup of Red Tea, and Honey-cake. Again, not listed on page linked.

Cooked Food is missing Bread and Jam, Rack of Lamb with Mint Sauce, Shepherd's Pie.

Ingredients (Guild) is missing Improved Blackberry Jam, Improved Dough, Improved Mashed Royal Taters, Improved Mint Sauce. These items also come under item 1 above and are missing from the linked page.

    7. WS Tier 6 Sellsword recipes missing from link - http://lorebook.lotro.com/wiki/Categ...me_Weaponsmith

This includes recipes for Axe, Dagger, Great Axe, Greatsword, Halberd, Mace, Sword.

I would add images from my hard drive but I see no icon to allow me to add them to this post. Hope what I listed above helps out.

Odd... I'm seeing the armour value for the superior version on my dev site, so this will hopefully work itself out in the next update. Will keep on eye on this as it moves through the process.

EDIT: Actually, following the link to the live site, the article has the armour value listed. It is the pop-up tooltip that doesn't. Will look into this more.

    Re: Recipe Listing Errors

Had to take a break. To continue.

    4. had an error and was a reference to Scholar Artisan page rather than jeweller. I just checked it and see no problems so please disregard this item in the error report.

    6. Tailor recipes - Boots vs Shoes. I just rechecked my ingame list and it may be that the only discrepancy is the inconsistency of the use of the terms Boots vs Shoes.

All Light Armour categories use Shoes.
All Medium Armour (Bree-land) uses Shoes EXCEPT for Supreme which uses Boots.
All Medium Armour (Dwarven, Elven, Lossoth, Westernesse) uses Boots.

So the problem here is that for consistency, all Medium Armour should be Boots but it is not.

They all pull from the same source, so this is expected. We'll get this straightened out as soon as dwarvenly possible.
