Welcome travelers of Middle-earth! Are you wandering the world alone, looking for a place to call home? Well come inside and rest a bit from the cold. We may just be the place you've been looking for.

Evenstar is one of the longest running kinships on Vilya. Founded back in April of 2007, our group started out as a bunch of naive explorers working together to find our way in this new world. In the early days, we worked our way up to making a harrowing and death defying, yet fun, dash to see Rivendell as a Kinship. Now, we are experienced enough to take on just about any of the larger challenges in Middle-earth and live to tell the tale.

We have remained a small closer-knit kinship since the very start, which leads to a more family like atmosphere. Many of our players are quite casual ones, taking their time and enjoying their journey through the world of Middle-earth. Each member is encouraged to take on the world at their own pace. There is no pressure to reach the end, as the path there is even more fun! New players are equally welcomed here as old ones. We're glad to help out new players learn their way around the game world.

It would be important to note that we strive to have a mature kinship and, therefore, have guidelines that members are expected to be mindful of. We also look for players to be around the age of 30 when joining us. However, some exceptions have been made for those who are short of the mark, but show good character. We also have a 60 day recruit stage for all new members, after which a kinship vote will be held to determine the player's full membership status. This is so we may get to know them better. Please keep that in mind.

All classes, races, and levels are welcome here. Who you are yourself is what matters most. If you find us to your liking, please feel free to go ahead and create a login on our kinship forums and post an introduction about yourself. Recently a Turbine Dev came up to me and asked, "Eruaran, how is it that Evenstar has created such an unrelenting output of Awesome?"

Today I have been authorized to share with you some of the unique facets of the Evenstar Awesome Process (EAP) that until now have been tightly controlled trade secrets of the kinship. It all starts with the two leaves from the Telperion and Laurelin trees (virtually perpetual source of raw Awesome). We attach them to special Awesome Siphons of our own design and pipe the yield directly into our kinship house. Further, peripheral Awesome needs are farmed from the Silver Deep mines, a roomful of dwarves wailing on anvils in our forge, and our captive Ainur.

The crude Awesome is skillfully transformed by our craftsmen into powerful fun and happy times, then carefully inspected and regulated according to a host of eldritch acronyms and terminology. Once a successful creation is stamped with the Seal of Acronymic Approval for Evenstar (SAAE), it is subjected to final endorsement by the mystical, revered Evenstar Hobbiwarf*. Finally, a highly trained team of reclusive elves put the new Awesomery into place in the halls of the Evenstar kinship house, where it becomes available to you, our members and prospective members.

whoa...Is that what's in your room? I've seen that crate flying around all by itself but never figured it was a real, live Hobbiwarf!

It must be very short, very round, and very hairy!

We've had a nice bunch of players join us just recently. (must have been the Hobbiwarf) A hardy welcome to them all. There's always plenty of room for any other stray travelers out there that are looking for a home.

Aww, thanks Pixie! I came to visit during the free play weekend and enjoyed myself so much I decided to stick around. As always, Evenstar was welcoming and I enjoyed the banter in kin chat.

It appears as though the Evenstar Awesome Process as described above has been affecting some of our captains. And frankly, I'm enjoying the results.

If you're looking for a kinship with a mature crowd that offers a little bit of everything, Evenstar may just be what you're looking for. Our interests are as diverse as our membership and we regularly schedule events from all parts of the game--low, medium, and high level content--and even some events from off the beaten path (festival groups, hide and seek, an occassional evening of LoTR trivia, etc).

I've also noticed that Aorik's beard is a little bit longer - could it be the EAP affecting him since I've joined? Huzzah!

Seriously though, Evenstar is a great group - I've only been a recruit for 1.5 months now, but have really enjoyed my time with the kin.

My time back has been most enjoyable.

The kinship has grown and many faces both old and new have come to answer the call from the threat of Isengard.

We do have a few members from other areas, but not a large number.

Loving the game again and would love to be part of a kinship that seems to be as mature as this. Tried to register on the website but haven't received the confirmation email. Would someone be able to shoot me an invite in game sometime this evening?

Going to dinner now but will probably be back on between 10-11p E

My wife and I are looking for a new kin of casual and more mature players. This sounds about exactly what we are looking for. We returned from a year hiatus to find our old kin mostly vanished and a shell of what it once was. We enjoy all aspects of the game and want to do instances/raids but also don't want to feel pressured like we have to do them. I will post on the kins web page as well. My current toon is Cirkal and hers is Laja. Thanks for reading!
