Features to come:
1) Stats for *nearly* all characters on the server
2) Updated daily ... Leaderboard has it's own latency issues so I can only be as accurate as they are.
3) History graphs for individual players so they can track their progress.
4) An actual page where you can view all this stuff!


Problems to overcome:
1) Never done any web page before ever

Interesting. Are you writing a screen scraper and putting results on a web page with a stand alone app? Do you have your project listed on Google Code or a similar service?

Anyway keep us posted. It's always fun to watch people's development and projects.

I have a php script that strips the stats (up to 1000 per class ... not interested in storing more or doing any funny business to get around that) then puts them into a MySQL database. This stats (and the MP one to come soon) were just taken straight from the MySQL db with a command. I haven't posted my code to anywhere because it kind of sucks. This is my first real experience with php or mysql or html for that matter. But I have the data, I just need to figure out a way to let other people access it in the ways I want them to be able to

Code never sucks if it works, but there is always room for improvement no matter who writes it. Nice work!

Wassup? Can the Firebeards get a little love? I know we're not all superstars, but we should have a middle of the pack total on this list.

I would be willing to supply my code to someone from Windfola who wanted to host it. My problem is that a single server takes up 1MB in the database, before daily updates. Daily updates will be much smaller because it only adds entries for people who have earned renown/infamy. Anyways, my free hosting limits me to a 10MB database. I just simply can't do other servers until I get real hosting.


Anyways, the problem with the list is that I had the database organized into different tables for each class. Not being able to do a FULL JOIN with the version of MySQL the server has it was only showing Kinships that had someone in the first table in the SQL Query, which was Burglars. Therefore because Firebeard clan obviously has no burglars they were not showing up in the totals. I am now changing how the database is organized into a single table for freeps and creeps. I am scraping the leaderboard now to populate the tables.

This is cool, I'd like to see this also for tribes on creepside.

The main creep tribes definitely do a better job of average renown/infamy than the main freep kinships.

Err, Scrubs should have higher than that...

I have 270,000 infamy on my warg, and Optima has 150,000. We dont show up on the leaderboards.

(Also the Black Hand of Sauron and Scrubs are the same tribe, just we're moving over into the newly named tribe)

Dude .... All of the stats are pulled from the leaderboard .... of course anything that doesn't show up on there won't be in these stats. I am not clairvoyant.

Great. You don't have to post your code. I totally understand not wanting anyone to scrutinize it, especially Nimrods lol. Anyway great job and have fun learning with this. I bet it teaches you lots of stuff. Wrangling the db is good stuff.

LOL, Poor Dav is prolly responsible for 95% of our kins renown. I'm going to have to come out on the &&&&&&& or LM and help him bump that up.

I got lots of room 200gigs plus 50 databases and unlimitred bandwidth, however expiration is almost here. Not sure if i will renew at this time. lll let you know.

Isn't that exactly what you'd expect though? Freep tribes probably have a ton of members (and crafting alts) who never pvp, and that pulls the average WAY down.

On the other hand, I doubt there are many members of creep tribes that only do pve and crafting and have never even set foot in the moors.

I figure 5/10 burgs went to the moors, died, and deleted their character.

I have serveral creeps that I just use for resource gathering and crafting doilies.

If they have never set foot in the moors then they don't show up on the leaderboard. Only people who have renown show up on the leaderboard. Although admittedly, at least for Legends I saw 3 burglars with less than 50 renown, so you're right there are alts that bring the averages down.

UPDATE!!!

I have an extreme alpha page setup. It shows the results of last nights pvp (to the best of my ability). I have a dataset taken from yesterday around 5pm EST and one taken today around noon EST. I computed the difference and made an active leaderboard. Keep in mind, I have found that the Leaderboard is quirky about when it updates people. I have had some of my characters not update for over a day whereas prep seems to update every 30 minutes.

You can get a basic idea of what I am going for.

Keep in mind, free hosting, it sucks, it could be slow, it might not reliably load etc....

Ok, well, no new statistics or anything, but the site as a whole is coming together more. There is a news page and you can see the overall design. I have had someone offer to host the database so I will be providing stats from all servers now.

EDIT: I have taken the stats from last night, but the initial scrapes for the other servers are taking a lot of database time getting them all in. So ... while my script runs I will get some other stuff done. This evening I should be able to post the updated stats from last night.

Takes less than 10 seconds for LM to take out a 3.5k-4k morale creepie. So go figure. Better map on your warg next time i see ya =) What i do is - motivation for greenies to get maps, i consider it a favour with a benefit.

faja is out there all the time, I'm sure his renown is legit. He sets up a lot of kills with his charge/ents
