We welcome all levels, races, classes, and play styles, in a casual, drama-free fellowship! We especially welcome players from the Oceanic and European regions whom we seek to join our growing membership in those areas!
There are several things that define who we are as a group since 2008.
This is a game. This is about your experience.
We provide you with the means to enjoy the total game. We do everything we can to aid you in finding what you seek. Be it Role Play, Raids, Epic Books, Crafting, Music, or just playing a fun game with a group of mature and friendly folks, you can find it among the Sons of Numenor.
We have built a Kinship able to cater to nearly any play style, without forcing you to compromise. How do we do that? Read on.......
We do our best to provide you with all the tools you expect from a full service Kinship. We maintain a top flight website, and not just another off-the-shelf nook on the web. Live chat, your own blog, photo gallery, forums, social media system, and a powerful Event manager for your use. In-game, we keep several user chat channels, and use them actively.
Alts are welcome in our Kinship. You join to play with people, we don't turn what you play with away.
We use committees of officers to coordinate and build our Kinship, not sole individuals which can lead to burn-out or personality conflicts. We welcome members to become part of the efforts from day one!
We are simply good people enjoying a great game, each others company, and helping one another have the experience they came to The Lord of the Rings Online for.
We sponsor a full Teamspeak3 server for members to use. It is NOT required, nor are we really a voice chat kind of group. However, we do use it to add to our community. A "Tolkien Audio Channel" is often running, playing the audio books of Tolkien. We occasionally have in-game chats about those as they play. We do have a SWTOR division, and use Teamspeak to help communicate between games. It is there to add to your experience, not as a requirement.
We sponsor a Smial of the internationally known Tolkien Society! Join us, even if you don't join our Kinship at www.TolkienAficionados.com
In 2012 we held the first LOTRO Conclave at Cedar Point in Ohio! LOTROcon is a gathering of LOTRO players from as far away as Texas and Florida! 2013 we will hold it again July 26 and 27, to be followed by the Entulesse conference on Tolkien July 28, sponsored by our Smial!
Become a Son of Numenor and explore Middle-earth with us!
Likewise, if you wondering if we play more than one game, we do. If you are one seeking homes in games such as Star Wars: The Old Republic, Guild Wars 2, Star Trek Online, or just enjoy playing World of Tanks, SimCity, Star Wars: Battlefront II, World of Warplanes (beta,) or EVE, then be at ease, for we have a division for each. In SWTOR we play both in Republic and Imperial guilds as well as an all Trooper guild on the Ebon Hawk server. We play on Tarnished Coast in GW2. However, above all other games, LOTRO is our home and our largest group.
Being a member of our LOTRO Kinship grants you automatic privileges with all our guilds.
Sons of Numenor is proud of its strong history of current and former members serving in the U.S., Canadian, and British armed forces! We support them and their playing family members, as they are away, and welcome them back when they return!
This Kin has to be the best kin i have ever been in, tons of helpful, friendly people, very acive in the community, and a good blend of levels... i suggest this kin for the noobies and the vets alike!

I am interested in joining your kinship, I tried to get ahold of one of your officers this morning, but it appeared s/he was busy. I will try again tonight (9ish pm PST), or another time if that doesn't work out.
Yep! We're watching Been really impressed with the way the kinship's been growing and we're always looking for kinsmen/women looking for a no drama fun kinship!
I would really like an invite to your kinship. I went to you website and registered, but I never received an email confirmation, and therefore could not post an application.
My character's name is Morham; he's an elf champion. I am new to the game, but am really interested in checking out this amazing online community I keep hearing about.
Thanks

Not a problem! Sometimes the confirmation email gets stuck in spam filters. I activated your account and you should have no problems getting online!
I too am interested in joining you. My in-game characters that I've been playing lately is Merlik and Thrifti. My login to your website is registered as runtheplacered.
Hi! I posted up on the forum this morning. I can get to the forum via my work computer. I'm not having such luck from home or my GF's house. The connections at home is about 20Mb down so it's not a speed issue. Still trying to figure it out.
Anyhow. I'd like to join. My character name is Logalin. I'm a lvl 41 RK. I'll send an officer a /tell when I get on saturday.

Hello there. 60 Minstrel interested in joining the Sons of Numinor. I've posted on the SoN boards but the roster link seems broken so i wasnt sure who to look for in game. IGN is Erevanial, and i look forward to hopefully meeting up with a recruitment officer. Thanks for your time.
I just joined the kinship a week ago, I actually switched servers to be apart of this wonderful and joyous group of people. If anyone is currently seeking a good active kinship, I strongly encourage you to consider Sons of Numenor and to take a look at the website and/or talk to some of the members in-game! You won't regret it!

My own storyline (work in progress) for my chars has them as Sons of Numenor/Dunedain from a minor house!
I don't know how open you are to a really relaxed player, but I plan on taking the very long road on my leveling up.
As an example, I sat before a fire today in game at a pub while reading a book (out of game-silmarillion) for two hours. Then went fishing until I maxed the levels I am able to get in a day (sadly it was only 10 levels I think).
So I am only at level 17, but I am also going about the process of leveling nine chars together. I have been told that is too tedious, but I am enjoying it and it is part of my own chars story of progression.
So I would like to think, eventually, I can offer a well rounded utility to the team. Although I am not "hard core", I am active and I look forward to growing with this game in a solid team environment with no whiners/politics.
I registered under "Elistirne" and I look forward to hearing from you soon and thank you
I joined up with the Sons of Numenor in early-February. Wow, what a Kinship! The members are friendly and helpful, the roleplay opportunities abound, and there really is something for everyone. On any given night, there are groups of members running instances in Moria. There are others completing slayer deeds all over Middle Earth. No matter what you want to do, the Sons of Numenor are eager to help.
I strongly encourage any interested players to look into our website (link below my signature). Come give us a try and you'll agree - Sons of Numenor is the place to be!
(The foregoing abysmal attempt at a catchy slogan does not reflect the actual talent of any members or officers of Sons of Numenor and is solely the failing of this poster.)
Been in the Sons of Numenor almost fifteen months now (On various characters!) and I am quite proud to say that I doubt I could've found a better kinship to stick with.
"I warn you, if you bore me, I shall take my revenge." -J. R. R. Tolkein.
I've visited the website and attempted to register so I can submit an application for Vazgrim, however I do not receive my activation link in email. I've triple-checked to make sure I input it correctly which I have, checked my spam folder just in case and nothing still. Does it take awhile to get or does an admin need to send it off perhaps? Thanks in advance for the help!
What are you sons of Numenor up to these days? Any trivia contests coming up soon?
There is a name I've not seen in a long time. A long long time.
Always, every Sunday, with a mounted patrol afterward! And we are working on follow-up editions of an open market, horse races, auctions, escorts, and more!
I've been very lucky to join up with fantastic people on this server from kinships including Fellowship of Middle Earth and the Sons of Numenor. The Sons of Numenor have made my occasion visits to Middle Earth extremely enjoyable. They are friendly, helpful and a wonderful source to understand and enjoy the atmosphere and lore of Tolkien.
There's not much to say aside from pure praise. These people are wonderful. So, without trying to write a dissertation on how lovely they are, I will simply say:
I've just returned from a long hiatus and decided to take up residency on a new server, for the RP and community, and I'm interested in joining. I'm only 10 so far, but I plan on changing that soon.
