My first post in the Warden forum, this is my alt that needs to be leveled. I am taking my time because compared my other characters the warden is much more complicated. This is Ethylwen of Rohan, kicking some undead booty in Lonelands.
Under the cute outfit, String Bean Armor!

So this weekend my (small!) kinship decided to see if we could take down Nornuan by ourselves with some combination of our high levels. We made three attempts at him. Our first try was two 75 wardens plus 75 guardian, and then the next two tries the guardian switched to his minstrel, who iirc was about level 65.
No luck in actually beating the turtle; the best run we had we got it about 2/3rds of the way down in health. On all runs we eventually hit a point where the turtle refused to swap to the other warden, and the cumulative dot got too big for self-heals and the minstrel to beat. Would have been doable without that, or if we'd had one more person for DPS to take the turtle down faster.
Still, it was a lot of fun, and we're planning to try it again some time, though possibly not until we've gone up a little further in levels again.
While waiting for RoR release so my main warden, Somany, will once again have something interesting to do, I've mostly been working on deeding and alts, first getting my lorekeeper to 75 and then working on my captain, who's up to 72 now. But I've also started levelling a 4th warden, Teasle, so that I can see how all the changes made in the big update play out over the lifetime of a warden (plus I just love levelling wardens). Like Somany, Teasle is on Arkenstone, where she's usually my AH mule. I only rarely load up my Landroval characters any more, though I've started grinding a few deeds on Snoww Pea lately, and my Riddermark warden, Kivrin, is currently mothballed entirely.
Teasle is up to level 25 now, and has hit a bit of a doldrums, mostly because I'm reluctant to level yet another character into the 30s, when I already have several of them there and none currently in the 40s.
Here's a picture of Somany in The Wold, I'd run her around in Rohan long enough earlier in the week to get her war steed (which so far I'm not particularly enjoying the use of - it's the one thing I've hit in-game that makes me start to feel motion sick). So she's doing a lot of toe-to-toe fighting rather than mounted combat. Here she earlier this evening, soloing a 79k orc after finished off the rest of his warband - this is taken just a few seconds before he died.
So these are updated photos of my Warden from when I posted way back when this thread started.
I had been looking forward for a long time for the Steed of the Warden to come out. I imagined having a steed with extra Javelins along the side of the horse that would have been tucked up under the leg straps, but I was hugely disappointed with it. You think with the Steed of the Warden being the last class steed to be released it would be epic....Well it wasn't. I mean they didn't even incorporate the Warden Symbol into the shield which would have made more sense than 3 spears on it. Turbine you got lazy with this one. I know the steed of the Warden was discussed in another forum, but I though I would throw in my 2 copper.
However I am really happy with my rendition of what my War Steed looks like with most of the "Steed of The Warden" gear on it. I think this is a much better improvement. The steeds hide and tail is black, all the gear is dyed grey, and the only thing I changed was the saddle and the leggings. The saddle is the plain black saddle and the leggings are Light Leggings of the Entwash. Plus it matches my current cosmetics
Hng!! Warden steed, my love! *clinches heart*
I blew a buttload of turbine outfitting my warsteed on the day of release. Because I love the warsteeds, but the base look is just too uggo to bear. So I didn't have enough Turbine Points to get the warden steed when it came out.
It's the king of horses. A Cadillac of a beast. It pains me so that I didn't get it in time...
