Heres my toon Nimmith looking out on the Lone-lands at sunset, It like the epic feel of this piccy, it almost says " Middle-earth is huge and you've got a long way to go"
The Anduin River is also called the Great River. It flows from the Grey Mountains in the north to the Bay of Belfalas in the south. It probably is analagous to the Mississippi River in North America and other great rivers like the Rhine and Mekong and Yellow on other continents.
We first encountered the Anduin, in the game, as we crossed Lothlorien trying to get into Mirkwood. The game will increasingly work its way along and beside this river as new regions are added.
This screenshot is of the Anduin Crossing at Etheburg in the Brown Lands under moonlight.
This screenshot is taken from near the gates of Isengard, looking south towards the Gap of Rohan in Nan Curunir. It's pretty much the opposite view of most screenshots that look north toward the walls of Isengard and the tower of Orthanc.
Very high graphics, and the usual great quality. Really great work jeffm as usual, 5-star rated, rep given. If you're interested, here's my imgur. I hope to update it more regularly in future. http://lotrorandoms.imgur.com/all/
Ufdragh, an Arch Nemesis Troll with 751K mp. One of two Isengard gate guards. Sometimes it's better to avoid crashing through the straight path and try to be more subtle. From the instance: The Gates of Isengard, Nan Curunir.
Close-up of Elfhelm to the rescue! In Vol III Bk 5 Chapt 4, he has ridden to the Fords of Isen to help the beleaguered troops there fighting off the White-hand. A good armor and tack details shot.
That the Dunland clans ally themselves with Saruman to attack Rohan is something Tolkien mentions but does not elaborate on. Turbine has, imo, provided a set of quests in the Enedwaith and Dunland regions that plausibly explain how it happened.
If you rush through the quests, trying to get to "end-game", whatever that is since the game is not yet complete, you'll miss all or much of the drama leading up to Saruman and his Dunland allies' invasion of Rohan, something we are likely to be seeing in a future release.
The allegiance of the Dunland clans is an issue in most of the Dunland quests that deal with the clans, including the epic quests. Saruman's agents are everywhere trying to convince them to ally with him. The Rangers try to keep the clans at least neutral.
The Ox Clan is one which has decided to ally with the White Hand. The leader, Madin Brenin and his son Nevid, are warned by Munfaeril, a servant of the Elder Spirit, The Huntsman, that they are leading their clan wrongly. They ignore this warning from their clan's guiding spirit, unfortunately.
This screenshot lets you have a close look at the details of their clothing.
In his library at Dor Gul at Imlad Balchorth in Angmar, you see Mul Kholuim perusing his books and scrolls. I don't think we want to know what he's reading. He's pretty absorbed by whatever it is, though, as his two guards lost their battle and he never noticed.

I've begun to be increasingly interested in the heraldry of the Rohirrim, and have bemoaned the fact that I didn't screencap the heck out of the instance with Elfhelm. So, thank you for this picture.
I really need to go and see if I could repeat those instances...
Daeross and all, here's another screenshot from the same chapter. It shows a close-up of Elfhelm, including Theodred dying, and a number of Rohirrim soldier onlookers. Light wasn't great when I took it so it's a bit dark but you can make out most of the armor details.

Thank you for this!
True to my word, though, went looking if I could repeat those instances. All the instances of Volume III, Book 5, Chapter 4, The Prince of Rohan, can be revisited via the Reflecting Pool in the Rohirrim Camp in Gravenwood, Dunland.
Volume III, Book 6, Chapter 1, though... that I've yet to locate. But it's hard to believe that'd be the only instance we cannot 'repeat'.
The main (east facing) entrance to Stangard, the primary Rohirrim fort in all of Great River. It's in the Eorlsmead region. You'll find all of the necessary npc services there, including even an Auction House.
This thread is great. I haven't even made it to Rivendell yet, so it's nice to see what the future holds. Plus, my video card can only play LoTRO with th graphics way down, so it's cool to see what the game is SUPPOSED to look like.
