The grand developers created men as the master race of the lotro. This is a fact. Everything from our man heal to our warp to bree shows that Hobbits, Dwarfs, and Elves are pitifull in comparison. I say we weed these lesser races out of our ranks. We should make them feel unwelcome in bree town. Bree should only be filled with pure blooded men.

You should all show some pride in your manhood. Dont' fellowship with the lesser races, don't trade with the lesser races, don't talk to the lesser races. If you come across a week hobbit (aren't they all) fighting a mob of drakes... let him die. They deserve it. They are an insult to the lotr world.

LOL so true so true men are overpowered....except for that part about the port to bree, all races have porting skillz....

But....if turbine had actually obeyed the lore, elves would be so rockin no one would even bother to roll another race....

I like it. except. That would mean that almost no men would be allowed in bree.

Men from gondor and some from the dale lands werent actually purebred men. so...

I like the Race of man simply because I like where they start. You are already in the Breelands and the Archet introduction is more fun.

In this game, men are the superior race.

Elves were getting weaker. They knew their time was coming.

So comes the age of man. It was man who was able to take the ring from Sauran the first time. It was man that failed to the power of the ring. It was man who ruled the lands when the one ring was eventually destroyed.

Perhaps the next age will be Age of Perian instead of Age of Edain since the hobbits were the ones that had to break out of their fantasy land shire and do the deed to destroy the ring.

well if anyone was "purebred" it definatly wasnt the men of bree. The Gondorians are more pure than the breemen if anything lol. Bree is just weak remnant of the former glory of Annunminas, Cardolan, and Rhundarur.

Technically they weren't started in the MM. Middle Earth has been altered drastically from that time.
But my opinion is that Dwarves are the Superior race. They unlike Elves and Men are incorruptible... In fact... Morgoth and Saruon made twisted forms or alternatives for every race but the Dwarves. Elves and men = all the orcs, goblins, urks, hobgoblins etc. Ents were mocked by Trolls. And hobbits... well, hmmm... .... ... Gollum... yes. A product of the ring.

Yeah yeah elves are immortal, and are the favored by most of the Eldar, but, they just aren;t for me. And men... straight from the mouth of Elrond himself... "Men are Weak!"

The Dourhands were a product of Turbine to advance their own story. They were never in Tolkiens LotR... though dont get me wrong, Dwarves arent the most noble of races. Though uncorruptible, greed has gotten the better of them. Im not sure if Saruon has, but Morgoth defiantly recruited them with bribery to fight with him before... All the Dwarves had to do was fight for him, and they got a **** ton of riches. But if I remember right, the Longbeards have never done this.

Goblins always fought the Dwarves yes, but Dwarves themselves have never actually been twisted into some evil being. Goblins and Dwarves fought the most just in the fact that they were always fighting for the same turf, and the goblins wernt always fighting for Sauron or Morgoth either. There are interior motives, the Dark Lords didnt rule all dark creatures.

And yes, one could say that awakening Durin's Bane was a bad move.

But again, purebreed Men? High men or Common Men? Since the High men have elvish blood thus living longer, are they the "Men Men" or the Common man (like Bree) with a shorter lifespan the "Men Men" since like the elves, high men are also on the decline. (Ever since those evil elves sunk our island!)

When I finally a Race of Man character high enough level to get Return to Bree, I was disappointed. Hobbits and dwarves both got very convenient porting skills that drop you off nearto the stables. But ending up outside of Bree, on the other side of the bridge? What's with that?

WOW...... ok i have to poke this ego alittle "Dont' fellowship with the lesser races" um hate to say it but men live the shortest amount of time and tend to "barrow" much of what they know from their betters. "don't trade with the lesser races" come on man men might rule middle earth in the comming of the 4th age but again if you didnt trade with dwarves, and elves, you wouldnt have learned the art of the forge or the ways of battle.

" Ok now i am no friend of hobbits i find them useless and annoying but to let them die is insulting your own weekness for failing to help those in need is wrong by all (remember it was a hobbit who helped the mighty dwarves) and a hobbit who will save your **** later in the war of the ring.

now as you see in my tag i have an elf (was a dwarf though i like them better)! best race in the game and have been rockin it hard core for years and i play an elf as well as a human. elves well they have big egos, dwarves well they rock hard core, men....not the worst race in middle earth but we arnt fighting elves who serve the darkness we are fighting men.

That's not why the Numenoreans (High Men) live longer. It's a part of their nature, given to them when they were granted a place of their own near Valinor (the island of Numenor). Ordinary Numenoreans lived about 210 years, and the kings about 400 years. Most of these Men were not mingled with Elvish blood, only very few, such as Elendil, Isildur, and Aragorn, and possibly Prince Imrahil and some of his people. For that matter, those few were also mixed with Maian blood, through Melian and her daughter, Luthien (who married Beren, a human).

However, by the end of the Third Age the Numenoreans had degraded, by the simple fact of living in Middle-earth and by interbreeding, and even purer blooded people only lived to around 120 or so, like Faramir and Denethor. Even the line of kings, from whom Aragorn came, only lived to around 210.

The elves didn't have anything to do with the destruction of Numenor. It was the Numenorean kings and thier followers, directly influenced by Sauron, who rebelled against the Valar, who then called upon Eru Himself, who then destroyed the island. Elves had nothing to do with it.

Filthy Round-ears (no offence to dwarves)... I've played Elves and Hobbits for as long as I can remember and I have never once stooped to being a Man. In case you don't remember, the line of kings had elvish blood. So we superior races say, "Khazad ai-menu", "The Shire", "A Elbereth Githoniel." I'm going to buy a leg of man to munch on in the Ettenmoors.

I'm all for the downfall of hobbits and elves...

But Dwarves? You crossed the line.

Dwarves are just a cartoon-version of the other races made by a Vala who didn't know how to make races. He said so himself. So they're out.

Elves? Those self-righteous goody-two-shoes are running away! They say man is greedy and not strong enough to fight Sauron, but they're crying back to their daddy! They're out.

Hobbits had never done anything noteworthy until the end of the Third Age, except invent smoking and give thousands lung cancer. They're out.

What's left? Man! We win!

Sorry I have characters in the Elf, Hobbit, and Man race and Hobbits rule. I would say the race of man is a close second. Elves as it stands are somewhere at the bottom (I really hate to say this as most of my chars are Elves...sigh). Hobbits have the best emotes (by far) and are the most agile, can fake death (beat that one LOL), and stealth. The best characters (and the most fun) are Hobbits. Dwarves are fun too after about three beers.

Five of my seven characters are man... but, I love my Hobbit Guardian and Dwarven Runekeeper...

Elves have never really floated my boat... *shrugs* They just stand funny.

While I love the hobbit emotes, I still prefer man battle animations the most in general, especially on my champ.
