We need someone to take over the coding and hosting of TFL. If that doesnt happen, there is no ETA on if or when it'll ever be fixed. In the mean time, I think I can do what you want. PM me the songs that need editing or deleting and I'll see what I can do.

Will do. I've been revamping many of my songs, so what I might do (not now, in the future) is just have you remove all my songs so I can repost the whole library.
But not right now, I have more sorting to do.

Can someone make the song Whiskey Lullaby for me? If you can, send it to monkeydjcyahoo.com
You'd probably do better to make LotRO ABC Song request in the Music Forums Request thread located here: http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.p...28ABC-files%29 [Don't know why the Moderators won't sticky that thread ]
Also, good to provide some info about the song, like artist(s) [Brad Paisley & Allison Krauss], A link to a midi file [If you can find one...I did a quick search and found no midis, but several links to pay sites for Sheet Music], and maybe a YouTube link [Music Video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z89hQwdxqHY ], which will help folks who try to fill your request.
Don't know why but when I try to download songs from the download cart it won't work. I click Download Cart and nothing happens any ides as to why.
Are you signed in, when trying to use the "Download Cart"? I know it won't work unless you're signed in.
If you are signed in and it's not working, it may be a problem with the site. You can open the song's link and cut/paste to Notepad and save the file in your Music Subdirectory, as an ABC file (don't forget to toggle the "All Files" option in Notepad, or you may wind up with a "songname.abc.txt" file, that LotRO won't recognize).
To all:
I know Figgy (Bob, here on the forums), is looking for help from anyone with coding experience to help her maintain TheFatLute.com website, so if you have the time and experience to help her keep TheFatLute.com, up and running, get in touch with her here on the forums.
Hey, I posted a song onto the site, but I messed up one of the parts, and the "Edit" and "Delete" buttons keep leading to a Error 404. Any idea on what I can do to fix the song?
While creating an account on The Fat Lute, I noticed that the new servers are not listed(specifically Crickhollow). Could you add them so us Role-players and music lovers on Crickhollow can sign up correctly without selecting a server that we are not on?
Any one know if there is a .abc file for "The Lark Ascending"? Its a solo violin part, performed by Nicola Benedetti (see youtube), I think it'd be an awesome addition if possible.
Just started getting into ingame instrument playing. This site is very helpful. Still using other peoples' songs, but hope to make my own one day. This site needs to stay up. If they still need help, somebody help! I wish I knew coding. Surprised to not see a donation button on the site. If there was one, I would donate to help keep the site up. Even if there aren't any updates, just to help keep the server/website up or whatever they need.
Not seeing my server on the list makes it feel like the site hasn't been updated in awhile and may be going down soon

I was about to post this same question. I have a primary server I play on (Crickhollow) and a secondary (Dwarrowdelf) and neither are listed. Are we to pick a server at random when we sign up at The Fat Lute or wait for an update?
On the Fat Lute site you mention a Program to play ABC Files buy Digero. Were you can actualy try different Instruments outsied the game. But I dont find a link anywere for it. Could someone tell me were I can get this.

Another great program for the LotRO music community by Digero! Not a prefect reflection of ingame play of a tune (Still recommend folks test their tunes ingame), but very, very handy for preliminary test of a tune outside of game. Also includes a function to save a .WAV file version of the tune from the program.

On a side note, as I still see lots of folks asking about "New Servers not being listed on TheFatlute.com", "How, come I can't edit my songs I've uploaded to Fatlute", etc., etc.....
Bob (here on the forums)/Figgy (on the Elendilmir server) is still looking for someone with Website coding experience to help her Maintain/update/improve TheFatLute.com.
If you have that experience and the time to help her in this endeavor, please contact her via the forums or ingame by PM.
I've been trying to add a few musical pieces to the site, but I always get the "+Unknown error occured when adding song" error message. Does anyone know ways around this? Thanks.
Edit: Nevermind. It appears that only one of my files was the proble

Heh, I just found this thread for that exact purpose: I'd like Dwarrowdelf to be added (as well as all new servers), since it's my home. Please.
I went outside once. The graphics weren't that great.
Hey guys, sad to say that no changes can currently be made to the website, as we're looking for someone to host and recode it. Until that happens, everything will be staying as-is. So anyone from the new servers, just pick the server that sounds the nicest to you. Sorry folks.

The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.
I'd really like to fix the song I composed for flute. I made a mistake in transposing it way too little downwards, and now in game it sounds like it could break glass! I'm Elvealin in Fat Lute, all help is appreciated.
'There now the numbers of Eldar increase,' Voronwë said, 'for ever more flee thither of either kin from the fear of Morgoth, weary of war.'
I have been able to find songs on Fat Lute by adding "Fat Lute" to Google searches for songs. Unfortunately it doesn't account for alternate spellings for titles/artists, but at least you can find some particular songs that way while the Fat Lute Songbook is out of action.

Buried deep down on the forums list like this, it might be smart to put a thread up in the commons asking for help. I doubt many people get this far down, or even realize this is here.

Check the original post date and Bob's last update is Aug 23, 2012.
From my point of view it seems that those that used to run and create fansites have moved on and very few of the current players are interested in doing the work. Even Darzil's LOTRO Crafting Guide has announced he is no longer updating his site and has offered to host if others want to do the updating. http://lotro.northshield.co.uk/
Sign of the times I assume. Or maybe as I said, "the new has warn off". Could be any number of things but that would throw it off topic; something I am bad enough about lol. although it might make a nice general topic thread.
See, I have absolutely no idea how stuff like this go from working to broken without things changing.
Someone from here has offered to help out with TFL, and seemed like the perfect person to take it over, but at this stage I can't make any promises at all. He has kinda disappeared on me. Just waiting to find out if it's a project he can dedicate the time to. Was going to keep is a surprise and just be like POW with the new site up and running, but I think you guys deserve an explanation, and to know that TFL has NOT been abandoned. I will get it up and running again. The entire site has to be recoded, so it's not something that will happen overnight.
Regardless, I will try and keep you posted as and when I get more information.
Thank you all for your patience!
EDIT: Once the new site gets launched, we'll get a thread for TFL stickied so people know where to go to ask questions and make comments or suggestions.

Thanks Tiamo. Nothin I can do about it. But as I've stated before, just because it isn't working, doesn't mean everything has been lost. It hasn't. It's still there, it's probably just Warden's server throwing a hissy fit.
I do have some good news though. The guy that's working on recoding the website says we should have something working up in a couple of weeks. This is a hobby for him though, as I can't pay him anything, so his other commitments like family and work have to come first. Hopefully nothing derails him!

Well again, if there's anything I can do to help out, I'm glad to do so. I'm just not sure what, since I know practically nothing about how the net works.
