Thread: Eventide Revelry - Oceanic/Austalian Kinship

Eventide Revelry invites any players active during our play times to join us in exploring middle earth.

We are an Australian based oceanic kinship, with members in Australia, America, Korea and a few other places, and ranging across all levels. Our main play hours are around 5pm - 11Pm AEST (around 2am -8am EST) during the week, and a lot during weekends. With those being the peak hours, we do also have members online at all hours, however.


Overview

Eventide Revelry is an Oceanic/Australian-based guild, so we often play on off-peak times. We are a social, fun, relaxed kinship and while we are all keen to progress our characters, we encourage having fun and helping each other chiefly. Given our time zone, we will probably never be the largest or most prestigious kinship on the server, but we aim to see as much of middle earth online as we can

While not actively a role-playing kinship, we are certainly open to and encouraging of role-play from our members.

Our kinship is not a militant organization; we don’t have a list of rules as long as your arm in order to operate at “maximum effectiveness”. We do have a basic code of conduct, the gist of which is “treat others as you would like to be treated”. If you are keen on gaming alongside fun, friendly, relaxed people who believe that helping out a mate is more important than maximizing xp per minute, then maybe we are the kinship you’ve been looking for.

How to Apply

1. If you are interested in applying please first visit our forums and read our Kinship Charter in our Recruitment thread - this will give you more of an idea of what we are all about and what rules we adhere to.

2. After having read the charter, an application post can be made on the recruitment board, nothing too detailed just a bit about yourself eg.
- Where you're from,
- Your character name, and
- A little something about yourself and what you're looking for in LOTRO and Eventide Revelry.

3. Once a post has been made either I or one of our officers will get in contact with you in game

I joined the Tide soon after starting playing LOTRO, around Oct 07. Since then, I have had a ball with my kin brothers and sisters.
There is always someone around to help out, anything from quests, crafting, mats, crits, advice, tips etc...
We all have a number of alts, and always adding a few more, so we can always ensure we have alts at all levels, so no matter what your level is, even <10, you will never be alone!
Our principles are simple, common curtesy and respect, hello's and goodbyes when login in/off, returning favours as best we can and within our means; and in fellowships, we never leave anyone behind :-)

Yep we don't leave anyone behind , even if they do have a tendency to get lost or go running after a shiny ore node somewhere.

we might get bumped off the 1st page regularly, but I'm amazed at the number of new recruits we have had just in the last 2 weeks!
I'm still having a ball! and I can't thank enough all the help I have had from fellow kin members, whether that'd be with quests, deeds or crafting... and yes, I am one of those that wonders off looking for scholar mats, or ore with my alt, and fall off bridges and cliffs lol but they never left me behind (yet!) :-P

Wow, few months in the kin, my main is now 50, and what's even more amazing is that most of our active players are well into 40's and above. Weekends and most nights (Aust/NZ time zones) you'll easily find 30+ of us online; working regular quests, Epic quests or doing rounds through CD, Uru, GF etc..

We are now preparing and working on Raid practices with the aim to be regulars in the Rift. The main objective is still to have fun, but there is nothing wrong with being well prepared and equiped for it!
We all have several alts, as low as L5! so no matter what level you are, we can put together a fellowship at your level. We learn from each other all the time, we craft, borrow, lend, give and receive, we don't profit from one another but no one should ever be out of pocket either.
The people we travel with are what makes the journey most enjoyable and memorable :-)

Still growing strong, quite a few of us have made it to 50 now and we had our first run down the Rift last weekend. The Alts are getting worked pretty well too with the new recruits...

Woot 2.5 weeks in and i've gained over 300hp, traitgrinding, woot, never bothered b4 cus it was booring solo. noe i'm ready to break 4k without rift gear, yeah me.

Yayyyyyyyyy In 1 week Eventide will be celebrating its 1 year anniversary .

I just joined this Kinship, and I gotta say, they aint kidding, a friendlier, more ready to help group of dudes were never found at such late USA hours.

happy birthday , yikes that means ive been playing a year now

Our Kinship is one year old today 13th May! The official birthday time is 5:35am server time

New recruits and old members can mingle from 5am server time (7pm Sydney time) and enjoy Snowdrop's brew and pipeweed.

Sadly, thanks to Turbine 2nd night in a row server shutdown at 6am, the celebrations will be short-lived and all the fun we had planned will now have to be re-scheduled to later on in the week. They couldn't have picked a worse day, and 2 days in a row..... :'(

I've been with the Tide for a couple of months and have found the community to be fantastic. People are always keen to give a hand which is hard to find when you aren't in a kin.
