I'm still looking for a surname for Thelmar. He's a good cook, a fine minstrel and an avid fisherman since childhood. He's wearing an eyepatch after an incident involving a broken fishing rod and a particularly nasty laketrout.
Any suggestions? My idea's end at some combination with patch and fish...

I have 3 hobbits, two without surnames (as yet) but my favourite is my warden: Custaard Brandytrifle. (She has two a's in her first name as it wouldn't let me have 'custard')
Inspired by Christmas dessert of trifle and brandy custard. Appropriate for a hobbit, I thought.

Male Burglar- Sixtoes Furrybottom (born with six toes on his left foot into the longtime family of the Fallowhide Furrybottoms)
Female Warden- Gilnaith Applebottom (named after an elvish wanderer who rescued her from bandit kidnappers when she was a baby with the surname given to her by the male hobbits who visited her where she worked as a waitress at the Ivy Bush - yes, the irony didn't escape her that applebottom worked at the ivy bush)
fellowship noun 1. A group of equals working together to a common purpose. 2. A warden.
My Hobbit Burglar is also my Cook. His name? Filbertt Fungusfoot.
Should he ever offer you a tankard of wine it might be best to politely refuse as the surname is quite well deserved.
The bouquet of the wine is quite something to jolt the olfactory nerves. If you can get past the odor the wine will quite literally punch you in the stomach from the inside.
For some reason though his wine is quite popular in the South farthing and he keeps winning awards for it.
Might have something to do with the local populace not having much left of their olfactory nerves after a nasty seasonal affliction a few years back however.
Mirrie Goldtruffle at your service. You see, her dad did some favors for the Dwarves of Thorin's Hall, and they wanted to thank him. They asked him what he loved most in the world, and he replied, his wife's chocolate truffles. So the Dwarves crafted him a golden truffle plate. Mirrie inherited the name, the plate - and the truffle recipe too!
