WH40k is being made by imbeciles. Rift sucks. BF3 is probably going to suck no matter what (aka riddled with the same bugs that have held all BF games back.) DICE has been rather disappointing as of late.

SW is the only thing to look forward to since it's made by Bioware. I don't see why people are bandwagon hating on it. I have reason and a ???? ton of games supporting my love for Bioware. Unless you hate the IP because you're a fantasy nerd instead of a sci fi nerd, I don't really see a reason to dislike it.

GW2 is promising but I'm remaining skeptical.

ok, gawddamnit i just typed a long reply and the damn forum failed on me LOL

ok, BF3 will not suck. it can't suck. i hope not. big fan of BF2 (and 2142 and all xpac). not a big fan of BC2. BF2 is the best FPS multiplayer game EVER for me. so if they can squeeze it all into some new graphic engine (like the ones on the BF3 trailers) and its pure win. UBER. can't go wrong.

Rift may or may not suck. i dont see how it can hold up long enough without enough content. and once GW2 is out, it will pretty much replace Rift.

Star Wars... well, i was an old skool SWG player and i loved that game. its brilliant. but the new one? basic classic system? DPS/Tank/Healer only? unbalanced gameplay? cartoony graphic? and u can roll jedi right off the bat? immersion out of the window...... the game is designed to flop right out of the gate IMHO. just check out PAX East gameplay videos and it's nothing more than WoW with lightsabers and blasters. oh, and voice-over questing. sure they have space fighting, and u can travel to all planets imaginable. but crafting is sub-par so far, and combat is just.... ugh....

in all honesty, to give it credit, Star Wars songs can still raise my hair, so i LOVE the content/lore and would probably pick it up for story. but sub-par gameplay can really brush it off fast. but i do love Bioware and the game's not out yet, so i still have hope. but as of now, im not paying $15 a month just so i can play starwars-textured-WoW.

and yes, i am just as skeptic with W40K MMO. but they only have 2 trailers lol.... can't judge from that. i LOVE the lore though. i think its the best sci-fi universe out there.

Hate to break it to you, but you'll never EVER see a hardcore mmo ever again. Period. It's gotten too commercial. SWG was great but it didn't last. Sadly WoW is the only one who has done it right so far. (It's even better post cata)

They made the end game a bit tougher for the pugs. They made leveling through a lot of the old dull boring zones a lot more fun. The game works. It's why I'm back there AGAIN. The only way to innovate in this sheep market is to release the same thing and improve on it. That's why Blizzard is constantly stealing ideas from other games and applying them to WoW.

Umm they aren't doing generic tank/healer/dps. It seems every single class can dps in one or another. All of them have tank/healing side roles. Not to mention imo the trio works. Unbalanced gameplay? lol...you haven't played it. If you have, then it's only beta and I don't know a single beta that had anything balanced. You CAN'T have it balanced until you get massive numbers out. The players will constantly out think the devs in strategies.

I don't see a problem with the graphics at all...that's a dumb complaint. Graphics don't matter. Only game-play matters. Immersion to a point as well but that's not an issue with Bioware games. That's like saying TWO WORLDS TWO RULES MAN! SO PRETTY! Oh wait no, it blows. MOUNT AND BLADE SUCKS MAN LOOKS SO UGLY! Oh wait it's one of the best open world sandbox rpgs in a very long time. Minecraft anyone? o.O

This isn't based on the movies as far as timeline. I find that excuse enough to warrant jedi/sith running around. Used to really like the old SWG hardcore ????, but it gets old. There are more kiddies than hardcore players now. I'm going casual now as well (real life distractions) because there's no reason to be hardcore in an mmo. You can accomplish just as much on a casual time table.

Crafting is pointless and boring so I couldn't care less about that.

You have a really skewed view of what you expect/want from a game...

BF2 was great but it's old. You can't stick to the old. You have to adapt. Black Ops is one of the biggets pos games I have ever played. It's the top selling game in US history. EA def doesn't care about anything but money. BF3 will probably try to go back to it's roots and completely be ignored on the market except for some die hard big map lovers, or it'll copypaste modern warfare like bc2/moh/homefront has done.

its an exaguration (did i spell that right?) but it *seems* the class choices are limited. yes the trio works and folks like u love the trio. but not me.
i like choices and the blurry the lines is the better as long as the job gets done. need some more innovation, man.... im bored.

oh hell its almost everything for me. i wanna play the game so i can be immersed into their universe. when i play as a jedi i want to FEEL like a jedi with my dual monitor beast and 5.1 surround sound. but when i saw the square jaws, clipping everywhere (and i mean EVERYWHERE) out-of-synch speech, and texture from 2003..... heck that throw me off. Bioware are awesome with immersions but from what ive seen, its not Bioware-quality. immersion+graphic #1 in my book. gameplay #2. a far #2. but it is a #2. not a #3. or #4.

heck why do u think i still play this game? lol... at least the graphic ain't half-bad and the lore is great. put on the background music, run around Rivendell, and its AWESOME. at least to my eyes and ears.

but hey, it is a BETA. i hope they can improve. remember, these are all just speculations. assumption that final release will look like what ive experienced.

good point, really. but again, immersion is what can really sell me a game.

a weak jedi running around and being one-shotted by a lv80 stormtroopers just killed it for me. too bad i have such high expectation from the IP.

yea but to have that option.... its realism and.... (guess what) immersive. i was only a weaponcraft back then in SWG but to know people can build a whole house, design how it looks, create their own city, and become mayor of it? its AMAZING. i dont craft alot but just by being there.... its awesome.

CoD and MW2 can suck it. BF2 was a huge hit and people still plays it this day. it'll never get ignored in the market. even on the market where Crysis 2 got ignored LOL.

they are copypasting BC2/Homefront abit by putting a huge chunk of Single-Player in it, but the bulk will be Multi and thats where i'll be, man.... defeat or glory, hit or bust, rain or shine, i got Battlefield DNA running through my veins!
