Re: A Small PSA
Hmmm... maybe this means I might actually see completion of Volume 1 on at least ONE of my characters!?

Re: A Small PSA
Seems like a cool solution to the problem of "older" group content. Is it only available for certain books and such or will be available for any books (or any time)? Can you say how it will work as far as getting the inspired power (will it be something like token turn-ins for ranger play?)

Right now, they are just part of the epic storyline. No need to purchase at all. Doing the Epic is well...Epic...

Re: A Small PSA
So for the Volume 1 book line, in 3 or 6 man instances, we're basically getting juiced as an incentive to keep going, rather than waste hours looking for a group in a zone that no one plays? Okay, that's 1 solution. So how big of an effect will it be? Are 6 mans going to be downgraded to 3's, or will you still need a qualified 6 man group of juice-junkies to slug your way through some of the 6-mans that are a plague on the system?

It should be strong enough to allow you to solo the tasks at hand. You'll get to see it first -hand soon enough.

Re: A Small PSA
Orion, this has truly got me excited.
I've been playing since CB2. I've never once seen volume 1 completed. There is a lot of story there that I have missed completely.
In the early days it was my fault as I don't have the patience to wait around on other people. Now, even trying for an hour, its hard to pull together enough people for one of those books.
I will certainly be going back in time on my RK to catch up on books now. I'll probably do it on my guard at a later time. Also, any new alts coming up will be trying their hardest to get this stuff done on level now.

Re: A Small PSA
This sounds great. A chance for my characters to prove their quality.. and see all the epics for the first time.

Re: A Small PSA
To solo them? Holy hell. So just to be clear, you don't need to take friends/pickups to a 1.4.8 or a 1.7.8 (Gates of CD iirc) anymore because you can manage to babysit Legolas single-handedly or just briskly knock Trolls and Angmarim about as you escort a hapless NPC around?
If you bring friends, are you all on equal amounts of the kool-aid, or do you get scaled buffs depending how many juicers are present?

Re: A Small PSA
This is a neat idea, a bit outside the box and different. I look forward to seeing how it actually functions, but well done on trying a unique solution! I think it will work nicely.

Re: A Small PSA
This sounds a lot like the Frost-tail fight in Hall of Mirrors where you get a huge damage bonus when he wakes up. Is it the same?

Indeed! This is a solution I'd never have seen coming. I certainly didn't think I'd ever get through my epic books (left off somewhere in Book 11 with my main, never did them afterwards on alts) at this rate.
Kudos and I can't wait to see this in action!

Re: A Small PSA
Hopefully will get more people involved in doing the Volume 1 Epic Line. Myself - I enjoy the story so much that I do not mind repeating it. It has gotten much harder to find people to complete the Epic. I been thinking I should put some more time into working on Volume 1.
Foros and Thamin have finished Volume 1. Mango, Camber and Tantalus are on 1.15.12. Dramin on 1.10.14. I think Ealrinand is on 1.8.5. It would be nice to have seven white horses.
Volume 2, Books 1-6. People are always going to do these books for years to come. They going to want that capstone legendary.
