LOTRO PHP Roster now available.

++++++I did not write this program, just did some of the graphics work, MERLIN @ lostrealm.ca wrote the code, and rightfully deserves the credit for the program++++++

UPDATE: as of Aug 8 2009 Lotroster 1.1.0 final is released. If you have the beta version please download the final, there are many bug fixes in the final, also support for vBulletin.

UPDATE: Official support and information thread can be found here http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.p...73#post3933473

LOTRoster is a tool aimed at players of the Lord of the Rings Online MMORPG to add a guild roster on their website. This PHP application will extract guild roster information from Turbine's data.lotro.com XML feeds, and display them in a table, allowing you to have a detailed, highly configurable roster display available on your website. The data is locally cached for best performance, either in files located on disk, or in an SQL database (both MySQL and PostgreSQL are supported).

Features:

•SQL or local flatfile backend cache for performance
•Single and double-column display sorting (ascending/descending)
•Can be updated offline (through a cron job) or online (for smaller guilds)
•Forum Username-to-Character name mapping (With SQL and supported forum/portal install)
•Update logging for all relevant fields, either to a file or to an SQL database
•Optional icons for ranks, classes and races
•Optional pie charts of classes and level breakdowns
•Optional integration with e107, Invision Power Board 2.x, phpBB2/3, PHP-Fusion, phpNuke, Postnuke, SMF and Xoops.
•Easy to install - complete configuration, as well as table creation/upgrade can be done through a web interface
•Highly configurable display, down to which columns you wish to display and in which order.
•Roster display can be flat, grouped or paged.
•Can be used in secure environments where your web server doesn't have write access to disk (through the optional SQL storage)

Requirements:

•PHP-enabled website (PHP 4.3.0 or higher, compiled with XML support)
•FTP access, or other means to upload files to your website
Optional:

•A database (MySQL 4.x and up, PostgresQL 7.x and up supported)
•e107, iPB2, phpBB2, phpBB3, Postnuke, PHP-Nuke, SMF 1.x, Xoops or vBulletin(new in 1.1.0 final) *for character claiming
•Curl and GD 2.0.1 (with PNG)l support built in PHP (recommended)
•Access to Cron jobs on your server (for reliable updates)

Really nice job on this. I'll have to be sure to include it in my update of "Very Cool Stuff LOTRO Players Made"

go to www.lostrealm.ca and below the download is a link for comments/suggestions

or email merlin@lostrealm.ca , tell him you would like to see character grouping / sorting via claims so the roster will only show mains and click a button to see alts for that main.

Merlin deserves 99% of the credit, mostly I have been just helping with feature ideas and icons etc.

Re: LOTRO PHP Roster now available.

update from merlin on SMF support.

To answer the question regarding SMF on the thread: I'm waiting for the final release of SMF 2.0 (it's currently at Release Candidate 1) before looking into it. I've learned from the devs that last minute API changes *can* happen
