Bullroarer Test Schedule

Greetings and thank you for your interest in our Bullroarer Server Performance Test of Doom or BSPToD for ease of use. Please refer to the schedule below when planning on participating. We need plenty of folks of ALL LEVELs. So don't worry if you've only got a level 20 or 30... or even a level 6 character. There's still tons to do.

9PM - 9:30PM EST

Encounter: It Came from the Midgewater Swamp!

Levels 1 - 20

All sorts of wild things are arriving from the swamp and the chetwood forest to disturb the poor defenseless folk of Combe and Staddle. Bree's guards have finally swept clear the South-Guard Ruins near Andrath, but now they threaten to be overrun again! Hurry, new adventurers and defend these three locations!

Encounter: Fell Things Stir!

Levels 20 - 50

Dark creatures are massing anew on the borders of Esteldin and Ost Guruth whilst fighting in the Ruins of Annuminas has flared up again. Experienced adventurers must make haste to these places to reinforce their already flagging defenders.

Encounter: The Rise of the Orcs!

Levels 50 - 60

The orcs are mustering in their strongholds of power and are preparing to advance upon the dwarves within the 21st Hall, while simultaneously attacking Cerin Amroth and Caras Galadhon. Come heroes and protect these important settlements of the Free People before all is cast into shadow!

Encounter: Lost in the Great Barrow

All levels

In the tombs of the men of Cardolan, now twisted by the dark sorceries of the enemy the members of the dev fellowship falter in fear. A search and rescue of the upper corridors of the Great Barrow must be conducted. Each of the fellows must be near the surface, so these searches should be somewhat easy! Truly nothing could be more important than this, so bring as many large fellowships into the Great Barrow as you can!

Encounter: Crossing the Ettenmoors!

Any level PVMP players

A fellowship of devs was crossing the Ettenmoors and have become separated once more! Sauron's warlords have issued a rallying cry. Go create a monster player to hunt down the fellowship, or fly now to Glan Vraig within the Ettenmoors to locate and protect these heroes!

Encounter: The Vale of Imladris

Levels 30 - 60

The Vale of Imladris is under siege by the forces of Sauron! While the elves there are doughty enough they cannot repel the invaders without help! Any who can manage should make their way through the Trollshaws to Rivendell and lend what aid they can and fight shoulder to shoulder with the elves of Rivendell to protect the last homely house. Here is where the hammer will fall the heaviest!

But that's not all. Throughout the evening members of the LOTRO development team will be on hand talking about LOTRO in the Prancing Pony! Server-wide messages will indicate when these events take place for interested players.

We're really very excited to engage in this testing with you all Thursday night at 9PM EST. Come help us improve the game and have a good time while you're doing it!

Will there be auto leveling, ranking?

The Eyes & Guard Tavern was open last night, so it will probably remain open until the event starts. You should get on and auto-level in advance, since you'll also have to redo all of your key bindings and UI positioning. You'll also have to sort through a bunch of junk from the level 52-58 chests.

why can't we have events like this on live. having just the amarthial chick for a few nights isn't much of a world event and these sound a lot better than that event.

Now we know why the Content Devs weren't able to get Book 8 out on time, or fix the existing Content Bugs we have and issue a Patch 3.

Turbine has been working on "server stability issues", such as having Content Devs making sure things are spawning in the lowbie zones for these special events for the test server.

They were working on fake content for a fake server for a fake event that will last 2 hours.

They've probably been working on this event content for a month or more.

Nope, we'll just be rocking out with the level 20 and 30 bestowers. We have enough 50-60's for this event already.

It certainly sounds exciting

My biggest disappointment is that it starts 6:30am friday morning for me and I have to leave for work at 7:15am

Hey 7, any chance that the reputation bestowers will be reinstated? I'm not really in the mood to play for 5 hours on a different server just to be able to defend Caras Galadhon tomorrow night.

lvl 50 bestower is indeed in the eyes and guard. Check the Bullroarer forum - instructions are there.
