Christmas holidays...new game releases would do it...normally its quite busy but the past few weeks have been quieter. Perhaps after the newness has rubbed off people will be back, fingers crossed :)

they should add the logging in bug to that list, seems a good few people cant get the game to run after the update

Same here, and also for a relative. Gets past the server selection screen then crashes.

I think the biggest thing I get out of these events is a chance to rp with so many varied people, people I might never normally meet in my day to day...
