It's weird, never ran into this before.

I was actually able to finally log into that 1 character, played her for a while, logged out, and the next time I logged in to that...

Seems to be only 1 character (out of my 9). I was able to get on with a different character. I haven't tried them all yet.

There is an option to prevent all quests from populating the tracker, but every time I get a sheath or skin or whatever, the related Task Quest pops up on my tracker, pushing out my "real" quests.

Back when I played EQ1, there were more distinctions like this - the Warriors, Dr00ids, Clerics, and Enchanters were the Pure Classes, while classes like Rangers (DPS+Druid skills) or Paladins...
