I really do not like how the Hobbit Presents window shows you stuff you could have won, but didn't. So I usually just close the window even before the spinning stops.

Totally agree, when I want to play a really good game I usually play a single-player one

I play LOTRO on Linux using PyLotRO and I have no problems playing. PyLotRO lets me patch the game. I occasionally get errors/problems/bugs but they're all easy to fix. I have never used Turbine's...

Expectations:
* Less of what players want or asked for
* More of stuff that nobody needs or wants

But fixing non-store-related bugs don't bring in $$$$ though. Hobbit presents do.

I hope Turbine doesn't do that but they might. Or they could design the session play so that you can only play once a day (of course, you'll be able to buy something from store to play multiple times...

If you haven't already, I suggest creating crafting alts. Then you can make polished gems yourself.
