I've never heard of anyone being unaware of the in-game voice chat, at least not anyone who had played for more than a couple of months, but I do know of many who have had problems trying to use it....

What time/timezones does your kin commonly play? My own playtimes are currently pretty much out of the norm, so I don't know if it would work.
