For some reason the initial satchel that rune keepers get doesn't show up on the character avatar. Once you change that one out for a higher level one it will show.

The progression in type of mob goes like this:

Normal, Signature, Elite, Elite Master and finally, Nemesis.

Nemesis mobs are the toughest in the game, usually raid bosses etc.
