Re: What's on your lotro bucket list?

    Bucket List entry #1:

Knock on the door to Sauron's Chamber in the Barad Dur. Introduce myself when he answers - just as Gollum is falling into the fiery gulf of Mount Doom, clutching the Ring.

Re: What are the earth-kin people in LOTRO ?

Earth-kin was the subject of an older thread on these forums that may have been deleted during one of the server purges. In The Silmarillion and The Hobbit, Tolkien wrote of "giants", but only in...

Re: how do I hide the store buttons?

So - is it true that Barliman Butterbur and Elrond are co-financing a new mall outside the west gate to Bree, to be named "The Prancing Pixel"? With the LOTRO Store as a retail anchor on one end? And...

Re: Why don't tickets EVER get resolved?

Unless you can provide percentages, numbers, and expectations on factors like ROI, R-streams, and goodwill investment - hard data, in other words, and not just the jargon and artful rhetoric - it's...

I remember balrogs in Bree. On North American servers. :)

Re: Council of the North mount skin change? NO!

The OP has a point. The fact that blues announced an error in these forums has no bearing on the argument - we are not required to read the forums. The fact that features of the horse are clearly...

    Re: Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog

Got my captain standing at the south end of the King's Way in Enedwaith right now.

You got lucky. The invisible barrier is back up - can't get further that the metal band at the top of the...

    Re: Deed - Vegetarian

Yes, I construed the description of Beren's diet to mean that he ate orc-meat.... And he also ate boiled Ent and Huorn.

Which brings up the point that it's rather silly to be a vegetarian or a...

Re: Brandywine "server full" - denies access?

No doubt indicative of another issue. I notice when I try to log on to Brandywine there's a two second "hunting for a logon server" message before the "server full access denied" message comes up....

Re: What is the stupidest mob in Middle Earth?

The stupidest mob in Middle Earth is Sauron.

With all the treachery and deceit going on in the West, with the silly rivalries and suspicions between dwarves and elves and various men of one kind...

    Re: CoN rep horse design

    ^^

No misunderstanding here, except perhaps why you would want to repeat the information I originally gave on the "Free Folk" horse. (wink)

Again, the question is whether there is any more...

    CoN rep horse design

I have the Council of the North/Angmar rep horse for an alt, and recently discovered that it's a temporary skin based on another in-game horse.

I like the skin. I'm not sure I want to lose it....

Re: What 10 questions would you ask Tolkien?

Tell me everything you know about:

    (1) Cirdan the Shipwright - oldest living sentient being in Middle Earth besides some of the Ents. Did he stay into the Fourth Age? What roles did he play in the...

    Re: Horn Call of Buckland

Second entry from a google on "Horn Call of Buckland":

  17. Re: Numenorean Uruk-slayer 'aka the Glamdring/Sting weapon effect'

So rune keepers don't get glowing, shiny stuff and everybody else does?

Listen, I can get a better deal on the Other Side. The Thangorodrim Elf-Slayer turns my eyes shiny black and causes my...
  18. Re: Numenorean Uruk-slayer 'aka the Glamdring/Sting weapon effect'

So what glows for a rune keeper? The bag at your side? I don't see it. Not the rune-stone - you pull that out of your pocket when you're attacked....

Next time you take it to the enemy, think about your sword's point of view:

Your sword, looking back at you.

    Re: Aragorn's early adventures

You can infer things about Thorongil from Denethor - as Tolkien described him in the books, and not as Peter Jackson chose to portray him in the movies.

(Jackson's abuse of the Denethor character...
  21. Re: Vote: Do you want someone to "help" you when you don't need it by attacking a mob

By the way, it occurred to me -

Now I know how a 20,000 year old elf feels, talking to a human about the wide world.... Been there, done that must be a very familiar feeling in elvendom.
  22. Re: Vote: Do you want someone to "help" you when you don't need it by attacking a mob

This is, iirc, the seventeenth poll on this same subject I've seen since I joined LOTRO in beta in February 2007. Guess what? The results are the same. The responses are the same. And I even posted...

    Re: Stop stealing Experience

I've been in this game since beta - Feb 2007. Nearly-identical threads to this one have been posted hundreds of times - the earliest I remember is, well, Feb 2007.... There's nothing new here.

  25. Re: Thror's Comb, Nar and the Library at Zudrugund - Possible Game Spoilers
