So, I am returning to the game and I've decided that I want to try a new class, something fairly simple in theory and more importantly... something that I can roleplay as (like for example, roleplay as a burglar since I'm a burglar or roleplay as a champion since I'm a champion, etc and so on...).

I am looking to making a Dwarf who will >exclusively< wield a 2handed axe ... it's my Gimli fantasy.

Now, the obvious choice would be champion - but I worry that DW is ultimately better (more stats, less loss on a miss etc), and given the update Overpower had I am undecided between the two. So I am asking for some pros, cons and general advice on what class to make my Dwarf.

Guardian (going OP with the latest update to the class, making it pretty viable dps). No "penalty" for not going DW since the class can't DW:)
Champion -- the obvious choice.

Again, my desire is to live out my Gimli fantasy of slugging heads of orcs with a big 2handed axe. I'm not interested in slow bleeds, I want the class with the most "thump-whack-crunch" looking abilities.
